- Beautiful original car! Just proves that Ford was making a very nice family sedan. If you wanted bucket seats, they could be had on the XL model. You do find cars like this with their original owners from time to time...it gives us collectors hope!

In the late 70's my brother had an XL it was dark green with tan and white interior bucket seats and console It had the 390 c.u. auto I always liked the fast back roof design on the Ford Galaxie
Very nice. My folks had a '67 Custom 500 with a 289. It really was underpowered for a car this size. One detail I'd forgotten about was the floor vent--the interior shot here shows the floor vent knob pulled out to open the floor vent and let air in from outside.
my Dad bought a candy apple red 67 XL with 390 c I engine when I started driving, that was fun
One of my friends, in the early '60's, was killed by his steering column crushing his chest in an accident. I was very pleased when the collapsible steering column standard came in in '67.
One of the best looking Fords. I lalways liked the stacked headlights.
Awesome shape!! :D Looks like a lot of room in this one too! :)
I've always liked Galaxies, a great example of how a family car can also be a "cool car"!
Jack, My Neighbor had one of these back in the day. Thanks Ron
This car really looks original and even appears to have some natural wear. I like that! It's been well maintained but you wouldn't be afraid to ride in it. I love cars like that. Great video. Thanks Jack!!!
Plain and simple while very nice! A painted black roof is the perfect choice of color to not have in Florida while up here in the frozen northland it's ok, anything to help warm the interior up. I like the simple lines, the roof line of the coupes and especially the vertical head lights. Back in the day when you could tell the difference between models in the offering.
People how had these 289 Galixies loved them for there fantastic gas mileage. My dad's red 289 3 speed manual trans and no
I had a 66 289 engine that was a great engine. The oil pump shaft broke when I drove four four miles with no oil in the engine and I drove it for four years after I got the oil pump fixed.
The last year for vertical head lights on the big Ford. A little pin-striping can really add definition. :)
hey jack nice clean galaxy! normally you would see a 390. never cared much for these plastic wheel covers, but with this car i wouldnt feel guilty changing them.
Lovely everyday driver, original and unrestored is my preference. Relatively good fuel economy, I'd guess close to 20 on the road. A commendable suggestion for anyone wanting low operating cost, yearly government fees and insurance, PLUS the benefit of increasing value the longer you own it. It's true, none of my friends are car salesmen, insurance salesmen, or government employees.
Hey Jack. Nice looking car. For some reason, I've never been a fan of the 1967 Galaxie and XL. I've always preferred the 1965 and 66. They both have vertically placed headlamps, and two story grilles. :)
