Yeah, it's such an inappropriate and rude thing to do. I think you're generous with pay, then cut and run from the date. But you're right this needs to be over after the date.
I completely agree with you guys. I find hard to believe that she was actually serious about trying to force him to feed her kids. That is her responsibility. If he volunteers to buy to go food for her kids, that would be ok. But she is way out of line putting these demands on someone barely knows. He should turn and run not walk away from this crazy lady.

The waitress should be fired. He clearly said that he did not want to order the 2 additional meals, and that he would not pay for those meals. The waitress completely ignored what he said, and put the order in for the 2 kids' meals. I hope that, at the very least, he left absolutely no tip for her.

As far as kids go, on the first date it should be about knowing her. I would be okay getting her enough food for her kids, but she's so damn rude about it that hell no.

By the way, NEVER EVER bring your kids to a date with someone that you barely know. I thought that this would be obvious but ok. Especially if he doesn't know that they're coming. Still though, if they're just now dating, he is a still a stranger and shouldn't be around the kids.

Late or not, she tried to force him to be responsible for her children on a first date?, which is a power grab by her. I would have left immediately as soon as she tried to impose that on me. That woman needs a massive attitude adjustment and I wouldn't impose that job on myself, let some other sucker deal with her attitude.

Him being late is an issue yes, but we don't know the reason so it might be excusable/understandable. That in no way means he automatically has to buy food for two kids that A) he's never met, and B) aren't even his kids to begin with. I do agree that an hour and a half is too long to wait for someone you're meeting for a date, but that also depends of the reason the person is late. She's extremely entitled to think like that. The waitress should have cancelled the order when he asked her to instead of ignoring him completely. He should have just paid for the food he ordered as well as hers since he was late, and left as soon as she started demanding that he buy food for her kids.
As for me, I'm with him because it's true he owes her for making her waiting for hour and he doesn't need to pay for her kids that he never met. As for her she should've called him or left. You should've never be too late even on your first date. Little late she may understand but hour late. I understand how she feel. But it's not right for him paying for her kids. As for the waitress, she as no right to add a order if the person is paying didn't ask for it. waitress can be in trouble. Who knows that guy could have ask for the manager. She can be in trouble.
It's not so much her not being high value because she had kids. It's the fact she is telling him not asking him while she dosen't even know him that well. Talk to the man and I would say he would of been fine with paying for her kids meal.

The waitress needs to mind her own damn business too, she encouraging bad behavior. The lady waited an hour and a half cuz she was desperate and planned to do this all along. Gross.
I had to watch this twice to get my facts straight before commenting. My first question is, why was he an hour and a half late for a first date? Did he have a legitimate reason? Did he call to let her know, or did she just sit there, hoping that he would show up eventually? Who does that?
Unless they were cut out of the video, she didn't bring the kids with her to the date.
If he called to tell her that he was going to be late, there is no defense for her trying to make him pay for her kids dinners. If she was angry about it, she should have just told him to forget it and left.
If he didn't call, and she decided to get her revenge by making him pay for her children's meals as well as hers, I still think that's wrong.
If she had asked him to make it up to her for making her wait so long by buying food for her kids BEFORE she ordered it, that would be a completely different story.
What she did basically amounts to extortion.
She should have handed him the bill for her dinner and walked out.

I am confused. The kids are not his right? I would not do it and would walk out. No woman should ever say this to a man as a punishment for making her wait for 1 hour. Also, I would never see her again. It is obvious she is not a good person.

And this is why guys don't date single mothers here in America the entitlement is crazy. If you just politely ask the guy and pick something off the kids menu you'll have a much better chance at success rather than demanding a steak dinner for your kid. Surveys have said up to a third of women use men just for free food on dates and don't take them seriously so I don't blame this guy for being mad about it.

A responsible mother would have made sure her kids were fed before she left on a date. The only reason she waited for 1 1/2 hours for him is she planned to get extra food all along. I don't know why he argued with her for so long. As soon as she insisted on adding food for her kids, he should have paid for his dinner and left. It's pretty clear why she is a single mother.

If the man has any common sense, he won't ask for another date. Have you noticed how high this woman's hairline is, it looks like she is half bald, and at 64, though my hair is thinning out, my hairline isn't as far back as her. Getting back to the topic. A young man once asked me, saying how do you know a girl is interested. My answer is 'tell her you don't have a lot of money, and if she is still there after one hour, then she's interested in you.

Look, I understand that the guy was an hour and a half late to the date so, I could see why she was a little agitated but at the same time, she's overdoing it. Nobody knows why he was late. Maybe he had something important come up, who knows? But the fact that she was trying to make him pay for her and her kids is really messed up. At least that's how I see it.

Personally I think she is a gold digger. First of all, she waited for an hour n a half. Secondly, the kids were not present. I believe she waited hoping he would eventually show up so she could feed her kids which she probably cannot afford to do on her own. using her kids as punishments is low life.
