This looks like a sweet little 3D Printer. I'm just nervous to buy the Ender 3 the "very popular printer"...but what attracts me to this Delta printer is it's all in one and no contruction building needed. I'm ordering this tomorrow afternoon after work. I've looked on the reddit, facebook groups and wiki and there is a thriving community for the Mini Delta. I feel like if I have any issues I will be able to find either help it someone with some tips to help a brotha out. 🤣 Great content and I'll def drop ya a sub.

My initial "thoughts" are: how long is the bed going to last. I've only printed 4 little things and there are leftovers from the nozzle everywhere in the plate. How to clean that? Thanks for watching bud always happy to see more people join the 3D printing community. I'll have a video out in the next day or so covering a lot of those topics. But here are some written tips for now .The plastic print remover doesn't work well. I use a metal Paint remover tool to remove the parts and to scrap off any remaining plastic. When the black build plate surface wears out , rip ,tear etc. It's best to remove all of it from the aluminium bed and use blue painters tape, kapton tape or replacement build plate sheets . They are fairly cheap about 6 bucks for 4 new build plate covers . They last quite a while my build plate surface has been through about 40 prints and still running strong .Also you can use acetone on the surface as well let it soak for a couple of minutes that will loosen the stuck on filament for easy removal . This. Most likely cause discoloration to your build plate . But won't impact prints. Also warm up your build plate using preheat this make cleaning and removal easier . Happy printing bud .

Bed plate temperature (Mono Price Mini Delta Cura Software Setup and Print) I'm having a problem in keeping my Bed plate temperature constant while printing. it goes up to my minimum requierments of the nozzle and the Bed at first (my nozzle stays always constant while printing and gets heated -after- my Bed, -my bed droppes a second after he gets my minimum requierments (80) , it has an immence influence on my products. please please please reply! help, Yossi
I have problems with the bed temperature staying consistent as well . Didnt impact my prints until I tried printing with ABS . So now I use a glass bed and I trap all the heat in by blocking off all 3 opening with cardboard cut to size and use painters tape to hold it in place . Trapping the heat in will keep the bed plate temperature consistent unless the head change is extreme . For example it dropping from 65- 0 . That means the heated plate is most likely defective . But a replacement is around 20-30 bucks.

You can fast forwards to close to the end to see the enclosure.Its sloppy but it was a quick attempt to keep the temperature up . Now I have clean cut cardboard fit to size . On the right side of the printer there's s filament port that leads to a Bowden tube insert the filament there . If it's warped there's not much you can do but replace the aluminium plate , or pick up a glass plate online or at a craft store .
Have your tried selecting 65 as your bed temp in Cura ? That way the Gcode knows to take it to that temp ? I'm part of a Mono price group people have claimed to get it to 85 using Cura . I haven't tried it yet .
The video was very helpful so I could start making other prints on my mini Delta. But one thing that is a problem for me right now, the MicroSD card that came with my printer, only has the file of printing the little cat. I did figure out the cura 3.2.1 so my build plate shows up for scaling and such. When I got a file on the card to try out, the moving head part for some reason moved slower and did not do the Three Corner double tap, and then I realized that the nozzle was not even touching the build plate. So I was wondering if you have any possible info on how to fix the problem? Because I would really like to be able to print more than just the one cat file.

Follow the same setup process from this video . From there plug your printer into your computer and allow windows to detect it . Now open Cura and Cura should detect that your connected via USB and give you the option to print via USB instead of sending the file to removable . I apologize I'm going from memory because I'm currently at work . Pretty sure there are a ton of people running into the same wall.

It's definitely tough on this printer to get the bed to 65 without enclosing the 3 openings . I used cardboard and masking tape and it worked well for me . I was able to achieve some really good ABS prints doing so .

Hi again lol . The folders match whatever version you install. So if you have a 3.6 folder that means 3.6 was installed either it was downloaded and installed instead of 3.2 or it was accidentally upgraded . Because the software is relentless when it comes to upgrades it will keep asking for you to upgrade it to the newest version which is 3.6 so its easy to make the mistake and upgrade it . To resolve this uninstall all versions of Cura. From there reinstall Cura 3.2.1 and when it prompts you to upgrade it click ignore or the X to close it.

I just got his printer from a buddy of mine. 1. Is there a reason why we have to use Cura v3.2.1 instead of the latest v4.6.1? 2. I tried downloading v3.2.1 from github.com/Ultimaker/Cura/tags?after=3.5.1 but there is not a Windows setup executable. How did you install it?
Ok, ONE LAST question, I have done everything perfectly, and have everything sliced and ready, how do I find my SD card in my computer? Lol No worries bud. Sorry for the late reply. Depends on how many storage devices you have hooked to your PC. If you don't have any the usual device name and the letter will be Removable Disk E: The capacity of the card that came with the mono price is 115 MB so look for whatever device shows up with that capacity. Hope this helps let me know if you are still having issues locating it.
Ok I have the knocking problem, bought this printer is my first. Got it on ebay has the wrong SD card since it has the manual for the 1 arm mini not the delta. Also has cura 18.000 something and 2 G files one is pyramid maze other is level line. Very upset thought this was a out of box ready new user friendly.

@@TheCasualCreator1I also just got this for xmas and am going through the setup now. I downloaded the newest version of Cura (4.1?) and some stuff looks different. Is it compatible with the newest one? I downloaded the newest profile and copied it into my files, but when I go to select a printer, there is no "other" option and I can't find the printer anywhere. Now under custom, I found "DeltaBot" and when I add it, the model looks the same in Cura as yours. Is that what I'm looking for? Unfortunately I am not by my printer right now and so I was just trying to get setup for when I can test everything tonight so I can't verify if that profile works or not. Any ideas? Are you actually saying that you can never upgrade Cura if you want to use this printer? What if you have other printers too?
This video is pretty out of date Cura is compatible with the mono price mini delta now .

Is there a difference for what type of PLA I use? Or does it work with all PLA? I don't really know what filament to buy.
It's prints all PLA , I prefer Hatchbox over all . But I've used Amazon basic , Dikale, 3D solutions , Color Me and Mika 3D. They all work well .
Just making sure, this is PLA filament, correct?
You can use PLA or ABS . Works best with PLA .You need to trap the heat if you use ABS .

So if you have a 3.6 folder that means 3.6 was installed either it was downloaded and installed instead of 3.2 or it was accidentally upgraded . Because the software is relentless when it comes to upgrades it will keep asking for you to upgrade it to the newest version which is 3.6 so its easy to make the mistake and upgrade it . To resolve this uninstall all versions of Cura. From there reinstall Cura 3.2.1 and when it prompts you to upgrade it click ignore or the X to close it.

hey man was wondering if you know were I can get the original software that is on the micro sd that came with the printer. I accidentally wiped the sd card.

I just got his printer from a buddy of mine.
1. Is there a reason why we have to use Cura v3.2.1 instead of the latest v4.6.1?
2. I tried downloading v3.2.1 from github.com/Ultimaker/Cura/tags?after=3.5.1
but there is not a Windows setup executable. How did you install it?
Ok, ONE LAST question, I have done everything perfectly, and have everything sliced and ready, how do I find my SD card in my computer? I know im very annoying im super new to this as i just got this printer. I dont know how to find my SD card on my pc so I can download my file to it. Thanks for being so open to noobs like me ;)
Lol No worries bud. Sorry for the late reply. Depends on how many storage devices you have hooked to your PC. If you don't have any the usual device name and the letter will be Removable Disk E: The capacity of the card that came with the mono price is 115 MB so look for whatever device shows up with that capacity. Hope this helps let me know if you are still having issues locating it.

Ok I have the knocking problem, bought this printer is my first. Got it on ebay has the wrong SD card since it has the manual for the 1 arm mini not the delta. Also has cura 18.000 something and 2 G files one is pyramid maze other is level line. Very upset thought this was a out of box ready new user friendly.

@@TheCasualCreator1I also just got this for xmas and am going through the setup now. I downloaded the newest version of Cura (4.1?) and some stuff looks different. Is it compatible with the newest one? I downloaded the newest profile and copied it into my files, but when I go to select a printer, there is no "other" option and I can't find the printer anywhere. Now under custom, I found "DeltaBot" and when I add it, the model looks the same in Cura as yours. Is that what I'm looking for? Unfortunately I am not by my printer right now and so I was just trying to get setup for when I can test everything tonight so I can't verify if that profile works or not. Any ideas?
