If you want to but the square burger rings I used to make the patties here is the link amzn.to/4aLWotg That is an Amazon Affiliates link and I do make a fraction of a penny is you buy them using the link. I promise to use the money to buy cool stuff of the channel. Thanks
lol I have a consistent pattern with White Castle. About every two years or so, I'll have a spontaneous hankerin' for some sliders, usually sparked by either a freeway exit sign with eateries on it, or by driving past a WC location. I always order a half-dozen with mustard/pickles/cheese and extra onions. I drive away, finishing the first one before I'm off the lot, dig out the second one and take two big bites, leaving about a third of it in my non-steering hand. By the time I finish chewing and swallowing the second bite, I'm remembering why it's been 2+ years since the last time I ate White Castle. I then reluctantly finish that second one, take the other four home to reheat later, completely forget about them, and then throw them away about a week after that. Then, one day about 2 years or so later...
Thank you so much. Cooking can be a ton fun. Knowing how to do the tricky things makes all the difference. Hopefully, you will like more of my videos, too.
Thanks for the show. I’m thousand miles from the nearest WC and the ones from the store taste weird to me. Your technique is one of the betters ones I’ve seen, albeit it more time consuming but more consistent. Will be trying this as soon as I can find on of those square molds. Cheers.
I've never lived in a city with a White Castle restaurant, but when I was young, we'd drive 75 miles to Indianapolis and buy those things by the bag full eat a bunch on the way home, steam the rest when we got home. I absolutely loved them. I've moved south, long ago, and we have Krystal which is nowhere near as good as WC. I'm sure it's all in how the burger and buns are steamed, or the difference. Having said all of that, your demonstration looks to be as close as any I've seen. I'm going to do this. It's a good excuse to cook up some of the hamburger I ground a few weekends ago. By the way. We can get WC sliders here in the frozen food section of the grocery store. They're really good too. One more thing. I've made your Taco Bell taco meat 3 times now. It's the only way I'll ever make taco meat again. Really good.
Thank you so much for this awesome video. Will save me from returns to the frozen food isle. Besides showing a way to make this great burger, you are so entertaining.
The only downside of making 12 white castle sliders, is that you now have 12 white castle sliders. And that you'll end up eating 12 white castle sliders. Some voodoo magic the small patties, minced onions and steamed buns do to them. Looking forward to the improved version!
I love Jack in the Box Tacos! I always order the Tacos and Onion Rings with a Coke. And I grew up on White Castle they are delicious 😋 Thank you for another great video. FYI: you can use a electric griddle and easily make 12 at time 😉
One of those griddles would be perfect for this. I wish I had room to have another appliance. This house is tiny and I already have half my stuff in storage as it is. Trying to buy a house but the market is still so nuts! Soon, hopefully!
I totally know what you're saying. Don't know where you are, but you can find some really nice homes in Frazier Park CA. I moved from Santa Clarita because the prices are outrageous. Anyway love your channel.
Ive lived in NJ my whole life....Ive been eating these things for the majority of my 54 years. They are all over NJ. Anyway, I would have used the butter flavored rolls (made by Hawaiin). The regular Hawaiins are too sweet.
I live in the boonies. I just got the one kind of hawaiian rolls out here and I'm lucky they have thoses. I tried to get dinner rolls and had the bakery make me some special but they thought they'd be sweet and make them jumbo size for me. I didn't have the heart to tell them I couldn't use them...
@@howtocooke The boonies are tough. Luckily the NJ boonies, where I now live, still aren't that bad. We're allowed to have two flavors of Hawaiin rolls up here. Lol.

The nostalgia is greater than the reality. Those first three or four bites though.... pure heaven 😍

You are too kind. These are way better than the frozen ones, for sure. It's not quite as easy, though.

Wish you finished your story haha .I know it has to stay family friendly
Let just say there may or may not have been something IN the Hawaiian roll when I bit into it. Since then I aways cut into the roll before eating one.
You have to use Dusseldorf Mustard, not the yellow mustard.
Yes, but I'm very allergic to horseradish so death seemed a bit too far for authenticity.
