I live in Florida and just found out the LARGEST White Castle is going to be built in Orlando! Just 1 restaurant in the whole state! It's 1 1/2 hour drive for me to get there. Road Trip!!!!!

We don't have a White Castle where we live, but we buy the frozen White Castle cheeseburger sliders in bulk at Sam's Club and we LOVE them. They are SO good! Both my husband and I work from home, so they're a super quick and easy lunch or dinner that we can just pop in the microwave for 40 seconds on each side, add some ketchup, and they're done. I've been eating them almost every day lately! They're like crack! FAR better than McDonald's.
Here’s a trick,on the frozen ones thaw them out first and cut that microwave time way down…only way to eat the frozen ones…straight from freezer to nuker = steamed out gross bun and cheese is basically wpvaperized….also add pickles and mustard and ketchup but not way too much…taste just like the store bought ones
@@toddprater14 you are right but wrong.. there is one thing that makes these dont taste like the restaurants version... GREASE... when the frozen ones came out originally they had the grease but for some odd reason they took the grease out... it ruined them for me.

Friday nite in high school was poker nite with friends. When we took a break , it was a short drive to our WC . The big bag with fries and a coke got us thru the rest of the nite. Love WC
They don't flip the burgers, that's the reason for the holes so they cook without flipping them, Also, White Castle didn't call them sliders until about 20 years ago. Slider was just a street term, and White Castle finally decided to go with the name sliders.

Maybe the sliders slang started at different times per state you live. I worked at Whities for 2 years when I was in high school in 1986 (37 years ago) and they were called sliders long before then when I was a kid and dad would take us there on occasion. (St. Louis MO)

White castle has always been apart of my diet since the late 70's. It was also a similar joint like white castle in Detroit called Greene's hamburgers. They were very good and made your patties right in front of you. It was also rumored back then that used worms as a filler. I didn't care if it was true or not I ate them anyway. It was said that was a rumor☮️

Long story short, the WC sliders vanished in just a few minutes, I mean like magic ! Now in SW FL the only source to fix my crave is the ones in frozen boxes, how sad is that ? With all the Northern retirees down here, WHY ?

We just made these at home. What I found interesting is that these are essentially mini Oklahoma smash burgers. Lots of onion, mustard, etc.
Back in Michigan, we'd eat way more than 3-4 at a time - especially when they were on sale for 19 cents a piece.

White Castle are the best burgers they should have more restaurants west of the Mississippi.
When a side is too expensive, I just get 5 more sliders. A sack of 10 is a great, inexpensive meal when you're just looking for great taste and a fill-up. 🙂

Whoever came up with the name "sliders" was a dumb head. Do I want a slider, or a white castle.
Ive been eating them since the mid 1950s, and I still ask for white castles.
I grew up in Columbus, Ohio and we always referred to them as Whitey's.
lol, 18 sliders make up 1 pound of meat...so technically you are eating alot of bread then. A quarter pounder equivalent would be 4.5 sliders...
