I hope there’s a mod in the future that allows prebuilt outpost. Like the Dream Home, there can be multiple preset we can choose on how we want the house to be instantly decorated. Saves a lot of time and hassle.
It was a thing in Fallout 4 for the Vault DLC - a build saving/loading mod, I mean. It was a bit glitchy, but it was still a huge timesaver. I had hoped that build saving/loading would be a vanilla thing in Starfield, but no such luck...yet. The naive part of me hopes that they still might add it. I mean, hell, they've said they're working on a land vehicle, so they're not yet done adding new features. Maybe it'll be a nice surprise when official mod support finally happens. And maybe pigs will fly.

I started a playthrough where I picked the trait to get this house but have been struggling on how to furnish all that space. This has given me quite a few ideas. You even managed to fill in some spots I didn't even consider like the walls above and around the stairs. Amazing seeing what other builders and decorators in this game come up with.

Even if it’s 4 months old I’m impressed just stunned and it makes me thinking about all the decorations you can build and not really use like using the shower or the toilet or watch TV I mean every place you can discover has 1-2 TVs in it and you can’t watch it. I can't imagine the amount of work that went into making this. You even lined up the labels on the soda cans. (You should have coolers in the kitchen.)
Has anyone else noticed the bizarre layout of the original house, though? Like, getting from any bedroom to any bathroom requires a trek through wide-open public spaces?

Given the nature of the game, I typically don't bother decorating myself. That said, seeing something like this makes me wish Bethesda had the foresight to include a layout recording and exchange system for shipbuilding and decor. I would love to be able to download something like this and then just have it apply the entire decor layout with one click.

With regards to building, if you're on Xbox and hover over the object and hold A Button it will allow you to freely place it anywhere.
I should note that it can be very finicky to get items placed correctly so it's a lot of trial and error. You can also rotate objects along different axis by pushing in Left Stick.

I was wondering the same thing and just realized it's actually two shelves put together. There's a left and right one. I just came across them!

You will need to level up skill points in outpost building and unlock them via the research lab.
I had access to this house without realizing it was a perk that I chose, visited it, deemed it too big and thought I’d hold out for something better. I foreclosed then read that I can’t get it back. Time to restart the game.
No mods. All the furniture and decorations are available from the build computer? I haven’t purchased a home yet so just wondering.
All the furniture is available though the build computer provided you have the skill points levelled up in outpost building and unlocked in the research lab. All the decorations were picked up while exploring the main game.
When you left and came back did it melt half your shit through the floor/shelves? I gave up on decorating the house because wvwry time i would leave and come back everything i placed was trashed. Craziest furnished home ive ever seen in a bethesda game though amazing job.
What is the piece separating the dining area from the sitting area? Middle of the room on the left when you first walk in...
It's two of those bookcases/shelves put together side by side-left & right pieces.

First of all this is freaking awesome secondly how do you get so many of these things close together I keep getting things jumping around or red-out not letting me place them is there any tips anyone can share im admittedly new to the house decorating side of the game.
There's 2 ways to place decorations. The first way like you said is under build mode-this is more limiting but more "permanent". The second method, which I use frequently is to drop the item from your inventory, hover over it and hold the A button if you're in Xbox. This will allow you to hold and place it anywhere. You can also change the rotational axis by pushing in the left stick. Hope this helps!

How do you get some of those unique furnitures . Don’t see them in console builds ? . I scavenge and loot a whole bunch of decorations and after i place them the next day they disappear .
@@Soljie1969 You'll get access to more luxurious furniture pieces as you progress through the Outpost Engineering skill. Research Methods also helps a lot, so level up both.
How did you make the bookshelf? The with the tv on the back?
It is a 2 piece one is a left piece the other is a right
How you get all that decor like the model ships? Os this modded?
Doing missions for starship manufacturers and buying their ship modules opens their corresponding decor

Roughly 2 weeks on and off a few hours each day.
How do you get your mannequins to work? I put some in my home, but no matter what I put on them they just remain blank visually. The suits don't show up on them.
You will have to equip the suit on the mannequin. Same as you do on yourself.
One wrong move in there and it's item chaos!

This is one of the many reasons other rpgs will never match the personalization and governing of your own play through that Bethesda games allow.

How do you get the standing amours or Mannequins with amour ?.
The mannequins are available in the outpost build mode. You may need the required skills / research upgrades. You will need to equip the armor on them to show. Same way you do on yourself.
@@Brad_Jacob I have all outpost skills and research maxed out . I tried to put an amour on a Mannequin and it was taking it as a storage device , the amour didn’t show on the outside . Do you have to use a specific amour or specific Mannequin or all amour should work ?. Ok i got it . You have to go to the amour while it’s stored in the Mannequin and select equips .
@@Soljie1969 Make sure to also EQUIP the item once you moved it into the storage or else it won't show. All armor works as far as I know.

Yes nice, but how many of those miscellaneous items did you have to go back and pick up after they sank into the shelves or whatever god blasted thing you can set them on? It happens to me every time I go back to one of my outposts or other places I’ve settled in.
This definitely happened with a few items. Once I reset them it was all good.
the only thing I don't like about this dream house is there is not true master bedroom. its just two bedrooms roughly the same size.

Any secret to putting things on shelves
There's 2 ways. First and obvious way is to enter build mode, but it has its limitations when placing items on multi-tiered shelves. The method I use is to push and HOLD the A button (Xbox) over an item-this will allow you to grab onto the object and place it anywhere. Additionally, you can also rotate the item by pushing in Left Stick. Hope this helps!
The fact that this lonely house on some planet is in a cell of its own and is not actually open to the environment is a big let down.
