Where did you relocate your head black tank? In that location on my 393 I have the black water tank there. Love seeing how you have refitted your 393. I love mine.
Hi Todd, we dont have one in this head, its more a toothbrushing and washing room😜 also the shower got deactivated and we lowered the pump pipe so we have an additional bildge, sometimes water from the anchorlocker gets in there and it does not flow off…awesome boat🥰🤩
Ahh. That’s interesting my 393 has 2 black water tanks one in each head. So the front head isn’t hooked up? Or does it go to a different location for your black water tank? I hate that tank location. So wonder how yours is set up. I had a bow thruster installed under that location and under my anchor locker. It is a 2 day projector get to the bow thruster
Wow, now I've seen everything. No wonder you are massively increasing power capacity over there. Whatever happened to putting things into a net bag and towing behind the boat? Anyway, fun video - and interesting to see you in the Sydney Morning Herald.
ahaha it all makes sense now right?😅 you should see the boat vibrating when the washing cycle comes to an end😅 aaaa yeaa that was quite a surprise for us too😋🕺🏻💃🏻 awesome you found us there🏝⛵️🙏
@@WhenSailing Oh that's so funny. Imagine seeing you both coming into port, about to dock and then have to stop because you were about to go onto spin dry! Something I'v often wondered about was the hull thickness of these French built, Med cruisers (I think For Tuna is one of these) because I've heard people comment that, on some of them, you can actually see the hull flexing. If that is happening here then watch out - you need to stop that!
Great video again and so jealous of you working washing machine - ours is broken and can’t get a new one until we are in Europe 🙄 Love following your journey every step of the way 🤩💫
Hey hey! Awesome video! I just saw that it s almost 2 years old. Did you upgrade your inverter already? Or do you still using it only in marinas? Grüsse Aus dem Mittelmeer
Hey :) yes we did a full upgrade with batteries, solar, inverter, wind generator and co ☺️ we made a video about it were we explain our electric set up :)
Thanks so much for the video - super helpful 😍. Brilliant idea to supply it with heated water to save batteries. When running like this - you mentioned the load was around 400W (instead of 1400W) - do you happen to know what the peak load is (and how long it's at peak)? We have an 800W Victon inverter which will cope with peak power (of up to 1500W .. but not for long!). We also intend to supply a Daewoo Mini with pre-heated water but I'm keen to know whether the peak load goes above around 400W (and if so for how long)?
hey :) glad we could help. we are not completely sure about the peak, but there are definitely some peaks at the end when it spins. but that’s probably 20-30secs for each spin
I never thought I would find a washing machine interesting 😱 Love the way you make one feel as if you are on board when you sail and with you when you dive but I think I will give the haircut a miss!
Ahaha us neither bit this one definitely has something 😅 ahaha it got better but michael is still scared everytime😅😂⛵️ thanks Richard and best wishes to the family🥳
Thanks Henri💪🏻 Yesss we were so lucky, shipment and customs here would have been at least as expensive as the unit itself so quite happy with that😜 thanks for following along🤩
Good afternoon, I really like your videos. I live in the Canary Islands. I also have a Beneteau 393 and have fallen in love with the washing machine. Could you send me how they bought it? Thank you so much
hello :) glad you like our videos. We found this washing machine in a local store in Martinique. Many ask us how to get it online but we do not know it sorry.
A few things I noticed in this video: You are totally spoilt by having so many lines running back to the cockpit, that's not fair. When you part-furl that genoa, do you also adjust the position of the sheet car - I'm sure I saw that leach flapping with more furling. I think it's more that the wind tends to speed up as it passes through gaps between the islands, rather than younbeing sheltered at all. Not a major issue but thinking that way also helps with planning. Lastly, I saw 0.0 on an instrument and on the chart plotter. What has broken? Have you maybe lost your water speed indicator?
You are so right, we basically only need to go forward for the pole, gennaker and the sheet cars;) they are still manual😅 yea we learned that the hard way, now we know too😛 was quite a rough sail at 4 am darkness with clouds, rain and 40 knots, washed over a few times with waves😆 our speed through water needs to be cleaned more regularly😆 we rarely use it though😅
@@WhenSailing Without water speed, you can't know true wind, just apparent wind. It helps knowing both. In practice, I have apparent on the wind instrument and true on the plotter - then I get a clearer picture of tides, currents and windage.
yes totally agree with you☺️ if we have longer sails we clean it & depending on the weather we expect:) but mostly on our short ones we simply enjoy the sailing and we can choose the conditions we are sailing in mostly so apparent is good enough😅😛
Super nice video! Have to agree with one of the earlier comments that I wouldn't have thought I'd be so interested in hearing about a washing machine. :D But this one really is special! And omg, indeed - drilling holes in your boat!? Must feel crazy!! :D Can't wait for the next episode!
Thanks for posting this video. Great info and straight to point with all the answers 🫡
Absolutely love that you showed the washing machine that’s why I came here thank you. 💕🎉🦋 off grid glamper camper girl.

Hello guys. Great video, thanks for share. Can you tell me about how is the water consumption? Thankssss
Hi there⛵️ thanks! water consumption varies between the cycles you set up but mostly around 30 liters per short washing cycle at 40 degrees:)
I never thought I would find a washing machine interesting 😱 Love the way you make one feel as if you are on board when you sail and with you when you dive but I think I will give the haircut a miss!

Great 👍
uhuu thanks so much ⛵️ really happy that you watch and follow us on our adventures! we think of you everyday 🙏
What is he name of the company for the soap for the washing machine? Thanks for your answer and for your video!
It’s called TrueEarth and you can find them here :) www.catamaransupply.com
Excellent advice. You got a very good price for the machine. Super 👍
Thanks Henri💪🏻 Yesss we were so lucky, shipment and customs here would have been at least as expensive as the unit itself so quite happy with that😜 thanks for following along🤩
You answered every question we have. 🥰Thank you very much! 💙
Thanks for tuning in 🔥⛵️🥰

Hello:) if you search daewoo mini in google you will find two versions of it🤞🏼

How is the washing machine doing over time?
Hello There:) still working perfectly and happy with it…only thing is as soon as we make laundry it starts to rain😂

il tubo esce direttamente nel box dell’anchora, usiamo solo detergenti naturali☺️
