One unexpected fun surprise for my ND trumpet player son is learning about the Chicago connection. So many great things have happened, including playing with them at the Cotton Bowl!
The old assistant band director and my hall rector at Notre Dame, Fr. George Wiskirken once told me back when he was a band director at a catholic prep school these original Chicago guys were students in his band before they formed a rock band on their own. So that must be the connection Notre Dame has with Chicago.
why does he look so young, lol...anyways awesomeness..I noticed the conga player was pretty intimatated by the band..I get it..I was in a drum chor and I would be intimadated with that much power behind me as well..rock on CHICA..GOOOO!
Y'ALL SHOULD'VE FIXED THAT DAMN MIC SOUND, IT SUCKS! THIS WOULD'VE SOUNDED SO DAMN GOOD IF ONLY THE SINGER'S MIC WAS WORKING WELL... oh well, Ya' CAN'T WIN 'EM ALL (siiiigh). :-( :-(
@@cynfarn2679 Chicago playing today is a lot like seeing someone else play the songs. The band has become an enterprise with employees. Kind of like going back to an old workplace and finding very few people are still around.
