Neither of these people were overlooked by me. Both are tremendous talents. She is a greart singer /song writer, and John has a distinctive Bass that he plays like a lead guitar. They are professionals and don;t screw things up with their behaviors.
I believe John is a much better bassist than Lindsey has allowed for him sometimes. Christine has incredible melodies and a lovely voice. And I have to say, there's something hot about her too!

I have now played for 30 years and I still can't quite get the sound that John could put out. I agree with you that FM always had that strong backbone bass, constantly pounding. I love his playing in the song "Over my head"
@marguitar1 Everyone knows John is a kickass bassist. I don't think Lindsey held him back in anyway. I mean listen to a song like Dreams - the bass on that song is front and center. If FM is known for anything its their deep bass sound. I actually think Lindsey's playing is so restrained, maybe too much so.
I saw Christine McVie at the Warner Bros. private concert, she is a beautiful , and very great singer, performer. Also, * doesn't she resemble Princess Diana?' fan.

Sadly its just been announced that John McVie has been diagnosed with cancer .. During the Australia/NZ Tours of nov 2013 .. the tours have now been cancelled and we wish john all the best ..

no!he was very much involved in john doing his part in the somgs ,they were guitarmen,watch there vidioes !lindsey,put together alot of these songs even theones others wrote and he knew what the intruments should do for each song,i think they have respect for each other in music
