Am I the only one who doesn’t torture my sims? I feel bad whenever my sims are mean into each other or the kids don’t do their homework. No way I could do the classic stuff like removing ladders from pools.
I don't torture them either (unless it's one that really annoys me lol)
Same here! I once removed a ladder from a pool when I was a kid playing TS2 and I was like 'nope, not doing that again' lol. That's about it.

In Poland, we have a bara-bara instead of WoHoo 😅. And in our country it is a more appropriate name, because bara-bara is a veeery censored name for S 😅
In hungarian it was called etyepetye (if i remember correctly) but i never heard that word being used outside of the Sims 3 so it always confused me.

I've never been one to torture my sims- I have to really commit to playing different challenges just to add the tiniest bit of chaos to my sims lives (like, even just not so berry's requirement to leave someone at the alter, or to cheat or break up etc). I've been trying for years to get less idealistic about my game play, but my dumb ass still out here getting overly attached to every little pixel person i come across lol

Satch has a voice that’s so easy to listen to. Which is good. There’s another simmer who does videos online and her voice is annoying. But Satch’s is calming and that’s good
Think reason people can do psychopathic sim plays so easily, because its so easy to dehumanize the sims. Since they have little to not personality that isn't just generic, so they feel more like NPC robots than human being and graphic is stylized too. Think if you had sims being more human like realistic and showing less manufactured plastic emotions, there would probably be much fewer doing those play types without feeling guilt or disturbed about it.
Did you ever do the Apocalypse Challenge in the Sims 2? It was my favorite!!! I downloaded all the grungy wallpapers and floors and clothes to really immerse myself in the gameplay, it was so fun!!

Personally, I was obsessed with Sims 2 and Sims 3, but when I bumped into the exploitative Sims 4 game, I started giving up on it, as it seemed like a failed game compared to Minecraft and Assassin Creed.
Others have said that they think the Sims team might make builds bad on purpose because fixing up builds or making new ones altogether are gameplay they want to encourage too, yes, and I agree that whether or not it's on purpose, it's a great thing.

I don't think I would play rags to riches or runaway teens. I hate having to worry about money... I try not to cheat in general, but I make an exception for cheating for money... I always cheat for money. I hate Sims having to go to work or school, so I don't like teens really. I haven't played Sims 4 much, but definitely in Sims 3 my favourite young life stage is toddlers, because it's a lot of fun to teach them their toddler skills, and once they know them they can have quite a bit of autonomy, but they don't have to go to school like children. I tend to disable aging and just keep them as toddlers haha!
I must have been playing Sims first at 6 or 7. I definitely had them Woohoo or probably try for a baby actually as I loved having families. I definitely already knew what sex was - in fact I don't remember when I first found out. I think it's a good idea for children to know the basics of what sex is and how babies are made from a young age. If they found out playing Sims then honestly you probably should have told them already anyway.

when i was like 9 years old playing the sims 2 my older sister saw that my sim was pregnant and was like how did you do that? did you make them woohoo?! and i lied and said it just happened and i didn’t know how because i thought i would get in trouble 😂
I just had issues with mother and daughter sims!! Idk how it happened, but they were hanging out in their tiny house, I look away from them at the toddler for like a minute, come back, and the mother and adult daughter have a romance bar!! Awful!!
Yo fr is there a way to stop this kind of thing from happening?? I have a family where the grand-uncle and the grand-niece were having romance interactions and I wanted to scream, had to make her not like men at all to make it stop. I absolutely hate that!!!! I just want to play a normal family omg

Mind you I did hold a sim hostage coz she made my boy sim cry and he was being a perfect gent. I was so proud of him! Idk why but I always have one Sims 4 save file that is like perfect and has normal gameplay and then I have another one which has the most chaotic 💩 going on and all my sims are either diagnosed with terrible diseases, serial killers, kidnappers or just very creepy weirdos 😅

I almost exclusively play Rags to riches bc it makes me appreciate having the little things. I find other kinds of gameplay to be boring

Uh, the murphy bed... the very first time I launched Sims 4, it was a while after release, I spent a lot of time creating a sim and building a tiny home for her. First thing she does is go open the bed and dies instantly....

Yes but you have to create a Sim anyway when you start a new world. Then only you can switch to townie sims.
I tend to do the Runaway teen challenge a lot. Or teens on their own after the parents died. Or teen mom/older sibling taking care of younger ones. Yea....
I just went to check and the russian localization just flat out says "have s--". I had probably gaslighted myself into thinking it said woohoo, because I was SURE about it despite playing ts2 a lot recently. so yeah young me had few illusions. but the corresponding cutscenes? literally traumatising to this day, I still feel embarrassed to sit through them

i once forgot to add the mother-daughter relationsjip in cas so it was her step mother and I didn't know. and they started flirting and I freaked out
I had a Sims 3 household with a brother and sister, both young adults. I moved them to another city together (they left some family members in the old city) and for some reason the game stopped registering them as siblings. They became attracted to each other and started flirting, it was literally traumatizing

This is going to sound messed up but one time I was talking to my sister about sims and I was like “let’s go torture our sims” and my sister told me she is not that type and of simmer or whatever it’s called anyways after a while I was like “never mind I have a way better idea let’s go torture sim animals like cats and dogs!”

Ok so my save’s dad did age up but never died. Her mom died already and she was way younger than the dad. So I decided to drown him. When it happened and he was face down, I wanted to save him. It was like I committed a murder… not all of us are psychopaths lol
