My mic audio corrupted when recording this video. Thanks to AI I was able to mostly save it but if you're wondering why my laugh sounds insufferably distorted it's because of the corruption. I didn't want to re-record the video as I wanted this to be my blind reaction to the stories. If I re-recorded them it would have been forced. I'm really sorry :(

What you said at the end is very true. I tried to be body positive at the time I hated myself. I wouldn't really take care of myself and had somehow Gasliit myself into thinking I was happy with it until I had a meltdown in front of my mother about how much I wanted to change myself. She gave me a new haircut, new clothes, and new shoes that better suited me. Moral of the story: Change yourself if you can't feel good in your current state. Also, it's ok to not meet beauty standards but if changing your attitude, clothing sense, weight and new haircut can improve you, Change it!
It's so true, body positivity can be a bit toxic, specially with the "everyone is beautiful" crap, because that's not true. There are ugly people (ugly as they don't fit beauty standards) and it's ok!!! Let me be ugly and at peace with it, and if I don't feel comfortable with my current appearance let me change it without being demonized (like when Adele lost a ton of weight).
Btw, you glowed up amazingly! It makes you look more mature and confident and also you really look more happy, which I think is the biggest and best change. When people feel good with their appearance it shows and it's nice to see
Just because I'm okay with being ugly doesn't mean i don't care about myself, and I said that I meant ugly by beauty standards (which are already ridiculous by how much they have changed over the time), not by my own perception of beauty. What can be pretty for someone can be ugly for someone else. What I meant by saying to let me be ugly and at peace with it, it's to let me have stretch marks, big ears, a big nose, a flat ass, crooked teeth and all that without it being a huge deal in my life, I never said anything about being unhealthy, I'm only talking about purely cosmetic things which only affect my appearance. I'm all for body neutrality, but I do have a thing against body positivity and the mentality of "everyone is beautiful"
I so agree. When I was younger though, I questioned why people needed to wear makeup, dye their hair, wear stylish clothing, etc, to feel good. I unfortunately can't wear make up as the affordable brands all give me a rash, but I sometimes wish that I could for the odd pimple here or there. But since then, I sometimes put a bit of thought into how I dress for work or events, so I know I have clothes that I feel comfortable in that look good as well. I have also dyed my hair as I feel it shows an element of my personality I can't otherwise express. The clothes have lead me to taking better care of my hygiene better and the dyed hair has made me take better care of my hair. I used to have bad eczema and psoriasis. I still sometimes get them, but the better self care routines mean I get them less frequently and not as badly. And I didn't realise how greasy I let my hair get and how that was actually uncomfortable. So caring a little about my looks has helped me massively.

I hate that every time we see "ugly" people in movies, they have to have acne. As someone with acne, this annoys me. Acne is a disease, it's like laughing at diabetes or cancer.
I'd love to see you do more reaction videos like this (of any Sims content, not just S4 or one creator!). I don't see much of it in the Sims community since it's mostly people building or doing LPs. It was really refreshing to see a reaction video!
I love goodchills studio shes like so talented her stories are so clever and chaotic but at the same time she has some really creepy/deep/beautiful stories too its like whatever she feels like doing. All of her animations are so crazy half the time it doesnt feel like the sims4 when watching her videos

Honestly, when the big girl was a toddler, I think she looked like a Cream Latte Dream sim, though without the e-girl/boy blush. lol I absolutely love CLD's work. He's made some of the hottest guys around imo.

You're 100% right imo. There is an imbetween. Yes, you are beautiful and yes you need to learn to love yourself but the only way to truly love yourself is when you take care of yourself. So, do those things that are necessary. You already pay your bills, study, do the wash, etc. So just add your own health to the routine. That's all there really is to it. No magic recipe to use, or anything like that. Just knowing you're worth your own time and effort. Also don't ever put others down. That helps no one, no one at all, not even yourself.

These are so realistic and have issues people go through irl been there myself about things like that. Damn the animations are awesome though and i will be watching more of this persons stories. I think its cool that someone can take a game that has become too tame and cutesy and made it have real life dramas and more fleshed out characters..

you don't have to work on yourself to become more beautiful to anyone but yourself, if you want to. But you don't have to close your eyes to the fact that it's healthier to take care of yourself, to take care of yourself, to eat well. Loving yourself also means treating yourself well and taking care of the body you have and keeping it as healthy as possible. it is not self-love to eat yourself to pieces, to get dirty, etc.
The point is to care about a body not becaused of being ashemed of it, but cause a respect for it. i think that also the key is to balance between mental and physical health - I had a year when I was strugling with my mental health and to sort it out I had to let myself relax, eat junk food and don't care about my look. It helped a lot and now I have a strenght to care about my body like it deserved to. It depens on your own story. Just try to be kind to yourself and others

GoodChills makes cool stories and the effort that goes into those videos is insane. My only criticism that all her main characters are usually blond and terribly skinny after a while they all look like the same girl.
I agree, also her main characters look very unnatural but take my opinion with a grain of salt because it could be her style as shown by the obese girl in the video

I used to subscribe to Hatsy's RUclips channel years ago, I love a good Sims soap opera style drama, now and again, and she's a great storyteller for that, but her videos started getting a little too much for me to handle, though I know she does some pretty wickedly funny videos as well.

I think there is a difference between genuinely being happy with the way you are and trying to convince yourself that you are happy. I have a colleague and she’s overweight but is comfortable in her own skin and happy with the way she is. She dresses well, looks after herself and oozes confidence and sexiness. I think that’s what they mean when they say beauty comes from within.
It's fun to watch these knowing it's all just in fun. No one is truly making fun of fat or ugly people by making these. The Sims is just a game, but, Satch, like how you shared that it gave you an outlet to explore early sexuality, it gave me an outlet to deal with not wanting to go out in public to do things because of my weight and how I felt about my looks. I've been in many different mindsets over the years about my body from hating myself to the point of harming this body, to the toxic "acceptance" that I don't have to take care of even my health. I can't say I've gotten to a ugly duckling to beautiful swan ending. I am still very overweight in my 40's now. I feel like that balance you are talking about is finally setting in for me though. Accepting that this is the body I have right now, and loving myself enough to take care of it. Maybe it will lead to losing weight, I don't know. I have chronic disorders that make it very difficult for me to lose weight. Either way, I appreciate you sharing your own experience of how caring for your self changed how you feel about yourself. It's meaningful and helping me to take a moment to remember why I'm focusing on my health when I don't see the outward changes. You've always been a bright, funny, attractive guy but it doesn't matter how the world sees you if you don't feel that way yourself.

I hate a lot about myself that can't be changed, like glasses. Nope, can't wear lenses 'cause I'm cross-eyed.
When I put in effort with makeup, doing my eyes, the glasses ruin it anyways and scrape off the makeup at my nose.
It makes me feel like it doesn't matter because I don't look pretty anyways with the glasses ruining it. Even now that I'm working out and eating better, I don't care what I wear because the glasses ruin my whole look.

peopel confuse love yourself with stay exactly the way you are and force yourself to love what you dont like when loving yourself is exactly as you said taking care of yourself and keeping up with your health hygiene and appearance and having some self respect self acceptance of things you cant change and giving yourself grace in the mean time.
