I like that he is doing this kind of game. A game where he has to think and not grind till his coffee runs out. He can still fk around till it works when his ideas run out but you can see that he isnt a youtuber without a brain and that he puts at least some thought into it. That said: I thirst for MOAR!
Hey DF, try turning off the grid when you need to make precise adjustments like smoothing out a road. It allows you to place joints anywhere and it makes things a lot easier

I know DF because of stardew valley and I wanted more DF content so I found this playthrough on this game that I used to play (and rage quitted 2 mins after), and it did not disappoint LOL I love the humor so much!
If you ever want to try a counterweight again, know that Poly Bridge calculates weight from the joints not the actual length. So a wood of length 2 meters weighs the same as one of .1 meters. So a "ball" of short joints is the way to make a counterweight.
Another break in physics in this game is that the vehicles themselves are indestructible, so you can have them drop long distances onto rocks or whatever else isn't a building material and they will take it like a champ. This can let you use some odd solutions in some levels.
BTW, you get recognition for completing the levels without having any object break. So if you plan to go for 100%, then get ready to do a lot of levels basically from scratch.
You should check out industrial petting! It's a game about tricking small adorable animals into loving you and then exploiting them for profit, which is just about as DF as you can get.
Play Rune Factory! Farming, mining, dungeon crawling, levels for just about everything including silly stuff like sleeping. several weapon classes, and ridiculous weapon upgrade system. Plus you have more than a hundred ways to make tons of money!

DF you should really try Besiege, you get to build war machines to kill villagers. If you like Poly Bridge, you would probably like Besiege
