Building A Bridge That Hangs From A Balloon in Poly Bridge

- Some very creative levels for us to play with today. It starts with designing a bridge that can carry a very heavy dump truck across a huge gap, uphill. This was time consuming to solve. From there it's multiple cars, multiple hydraulics, and all sorts of creativity. The levels are definitely getting harder but as I learn new techniques the builds get crazier. The final level gives me a balloon in the way and only a single anchor point on either side. I soon realize I can hang stuff from the balloon and find a way to hang my entire bridge from it. This might be my favorite level yet. Poly Bridge gameplay with my commentary as always!

The voice going off at 3:31 is great, there are several new soundgags in this vidoe, I like it!
I've seen some bad designs, most DF bridges have dangling, disconnected pieces in them, but 0:26 had me burst out laughing. The arch is connected to the bridge at literally 0 points.
And a small tip: only joints (the yellow dots) have weight, not the length of the material. Helpful for counterweights or if (when) you want to build a trebuchet.
Thanks for that weight tip. That explains why my trebuchet didn’t work.

lmao yea, I did that level today and had this happen to many times. I ended up using a small ramp, swing with cable on the first baloon and complettely free swinging bullshit rng swing on the second one. that got me all 4 stars.

Something you might want to know is that the weight in this game is based on roads, and the yellow nodes at the end of each material, and since steel is longer, it is technically lighter if used at full length. Also do equally distribute weight so that the bridge is more stable, use completely equal triangles, so none are bigger or smaller than the others

Here's a tip:
The only things that weigh anything in this game are road and joints. So for example, two very short pieces of wood will weigh more than a super long steel beam, because they would have more joints. If you want to add a weight to something, the best way is usually just to spam a bunch of short wood pieces, as this will be cheap and will also give you a lot of weight.

You should run steel/wood beams alongside the road and make full solid triangles instead of ones relying on the weakness of the roads, since roads break super easy.

You can disable the grid by pressing g which allows you to move joints more precise also if you press t you can see how stressed each piece is, at 100% stress the piece breaks
