Nice to see you guys again!! Luka, great interview. You both have a wonderful sense of humor, and it showed well here. I have friends that are EMTs/Para here in the states, and I say it takes a special breed of person to be a Medic. I mean, how can an individual trained to perform as you all do, see and do horrific tasks, and yet, still have your sh!t screwed down securely??? My hats are off to you lot!!!!!! I've done Winderness/Backcountry First Aid classes. I CAN perform, when I have to, if I don't get time to think about it, more of a reaction. But, on the other hand, I can get sick to my stomach at the site of blood too. Yup, not my calling. But, I been out with friends and small things occur. Blisters, slivers, shallow cut, etc. I have no problem helping that way either. Thank you guys for the interview!!! Medics are always a crazy bunch to talk to. And always something to learn too. CHEERS!!!!
I always carry my main TQ on front top of my plate carrier visible and secured by two rubberbands, and second one in my IFAK along with NPA´s, HALO seals, etc´s.
Luka, as a medic myself, I have to say one statement that you made is the most important " medicine is not black and white" in today's society it amazes me how very few people understand that medicine is constantly evolving. They expect to go to a doctor and get fixed. That's just not the way it is, there are many ways to skin a cat.
in Iraq we traded our backpack with someone else and we didn't have any thing that would let anyone know we were medics, including painting out the crosses on our fla's, when I was there, medics had third highest bounty payout or some bs like that.
Afghan was similar i don’t know about the bounty part, but everybody knew what a medic/corpsman was and would target us so we didn’t wear anything obvious. 👍🏾
I'm a simple man. I see Luka, I click and watch!

Don't forget! Luka has a book out to pass on a lot of knowledge, I recall it is in multiple languages.

My goal in life is to strive to be the medic Luka is.
