Our culture in America became significantly more dark after the genesis of extreme metal in the late 70’s and early 80’s. It's hard to pick a favorite Metallica song, but this one always comes to mind. It was great when it was new and it's still great now. So good to hear someone appreciate it in 2020! One of their most brutal and honest songs...
Been a fan since hey recorded Kill em All in my hometown. First chance to see em Live was this tour opening for Ozzy. I loved every single second of their set. So impressed seeing an opening band have a stage set "Crosses" Cherish the memories of seeing cliff live. Saddened and shocked he died months after. Miss This Metallica ; (
This album and this song were particularly influential on my mind and beliefs in the 80s when it came out. I listened to this album so much. Back in cassette days I bought it at least 4 times I think due to wearing it out. EDIT: I started saving money when CDs came out and I couldn't wear them out by playing them. I was front row at Red Rocks on the And Justice tour and my friends and I (all musicians) were shouting for them to play this song as it is not one they typically do and sustaining that galloping rhythm is tough so we wanted to see it live. They have done it live this is just not one they usually do.
Might be my favorite song of all time. Definitely the #1 thrash song for me. Was 12 when this came out and I was obsessed with playing it on my guitar.
When this was released, in 86 there was nothing, I mean NOTHING like this. Nothing. Even with a couple generations of immatator it’s still fucking Badass
Black Sabbath created the spark of the initial creation of "heavy metal" and then many years later this quartet named Metallica came along and perfected it. Hasn't been topped ever since, despite all the many different incarnations that have come along. Nobody took you on a ride so perfectly such as these original Metallica albums.
The best thing about Metallica is that their music always tells the same story that the lyrics do. I started with RTL album and when I heard Fade to Black it changed my life forever because I felt such a connection to the lyrics, but I felt the same connection and feeling from the riffs. It’s so powerful
@@mizphit138 Yes, I know that. It's still a song they perform; it's on their first album. You don't exclude a song (performed by whomever) that's on a band's albums. There are no exceptions to that, not even for Metallica...or for Diamond Head.
Now you got me in retro mode :) Please react to Refused and their iconic song New Noice. The album "The shape of punk to come" was realesed 1998 and its CULT. Still in my top three list after all those years :)

Love this song and thank you for reacting to it and yes your wife should definitely hear it!
Hello TNT, down here in nola, got me a cold Corona, enjoying your reaction vid! ~respect
Glad you noticed the insane bass my man
R.I.P. CLIFF BURTON
This song just shows you why Metallica are the kings of transition! They can switch it up so effectively and effortlessly and still have the song sound so great!
My favorite SONG off this great album. Love this jam. . Great guitar work and guitar solos. This whole album kicks ass. Not one bad SONG on this great album. Old school Metallica baby. Hell yeah bro....
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
It's hard to pick a favorite Metallica song, but this one always comes to mind. It was great when it was new and it's still great now. So good to hear someone appreciate it in 2020! One of their most brutal and honest songs...
I love this dude. So honest and real.
I just been jamming this song today... BACK TO THE FRONT ... one of metallica‘s best
I always love your excitement.
These songs get me excited!
Classic, an all time great right here!
One of my favorites. your wife needs to hear it.
The best song and the best lyrics they have ever written imo
The golden age of metallica
Disposable Heroes is the Greatest Metallica Track of All Time - A Real Thrash Metal Masterpiece 🤘🤘
@Metal Fan well actually that's a wrong comparison because Orion's an instrumental
Excellent song.......
Now you are officially ready for "Dyer's Eve" 😁
I like a man that brings a beverage to his reaction videos!
Priest! Priest! Priest! Priest! Priest! You're reactions are incredible bro
Awesome reaction 👍
Whether you come for the riffs, the beat or the passion you find the lyrics and it makes a full circle.
T, it's time:
"Am I Evil" (Metallica); and
"Seek And Destroy" (Metallica)
Alan Lovejoy am I evil isn’t a Metallica song it’s a cover bro
@@mizphit138 Yes, I know that. It's still a song they perform; it's on their first album. You don't exclude a song (performed by whomever) that's on a band's albums. There are no exceptions to that, not even for Metallica...or for Diamond Head.
METAL MILITIA by Metallica
@@Grumpy_Rabbit Am I evil is not on kill 'em all unless you include re releases which I don't.
Now you got me in retro mode :) Please react to Refused and their iconic song New Noice. The album "The shape of punk to come" was realesed 1998 and its CULT. Still in my top three list after all those years :)
I was singing St Anger last night in Karaoke and my friends were going wild! LOVE Metallica!!
Please check out Through the Never. The riffs in that song are HARSH!!
“Damage Inc.” next.
I'm glad how you reacted to this video. Especially your words at the end about complete of a song it is. If you haven't already, please react to "the god that failed" by metallica. Also, "omerta" by Lamb of god. Think you would like both
One of my favorites from metallica...right there with black sabbath's war pigs, as far as, telling it like it is.
Megadeth: rust in peace/polaris
Thnx for the review on a bad ass song.
I do believe you stumbled across their best song!
Great song. But it's their 3rd best song about soldiers.
You should react to disposable heroes live in Mexico 2009(orgullo, pasión y gloria). Simply amazing
I was gonna recommend that too. One of my favorite YT videos. Also check out Master Of Puppets live on Howard Stern. It kicks butt.
David González that concert in Mexico in 2009 is just simply nuts the crowd control and how many people where there it’s like the 1.2 million people in Moscow Russia it feels like back in the 80’s
Metallica was my main band. My hair blowing back on the wind. He he he. What a blast.
It never gets old! Metallica forever!
Remember listening to this shit on cassette on my walk man in the 4th grade. Best song on Puppets IMO
This song is so addictive, so much dopamine. That's why this is my Metallica fav song
You can see now that were told _no lies_ about this album. The whole thing is overflowing with awesomeness.
This song also gives theme context concerning the helmet shown on the cover.
@@chrislancaster _One_ is from _...And Justice For All_ (1989), and wasn't written until 1987. _Master of Puppets_ was released in 1986. So, it's not likely it would be referenced on this cover. :)
This is another great song off "Master of Puppets" Bottom line is "Master of Puppets" is actually a greatest hits album. Every song on it knocks it out of the park. Can't wait for your breakdown of this song.
Really enjoy when you check out the great, heavy Metallica stuff! This isn't a song I listen to often, but it always kicks my ass when I do
NOW!...We're talkin!' Top 10 ALL TIME Metal Songs..PERIOD..And I know MANY!
Utterly amazing what humans are capable of. This IS music. It doesn't mater who you are to realize greatness regardless of what genre your into. I've always said, good music is good music, period.
Having a beer and an old Metallica you know that you are on the right way !!!
Great reaction.
This song is so damn fun to play on guitar, some great exercises for picking & stamina, easily one of their best songs, lyrics are killer too
Couldnt agree more dude, its a blast to play. Im not a big Kirk Hammet fan, but i love the solo. Its fun too.
I love metal I'm black I been listening to metallica since 5th grade and I'm 42 now I like to listen to all kinds of music but metal been my favorite and rap
One of their best albums in my opinion. \m/
Oh man, keep on rocking me between Megadeth and Metallica, I love this. Just appreciation for those two giants of metal music I have, no rivalries hehe.
Drinking Dutch beer listening to one of the best albums ever. Not a bad way to spend an afternoon.
