#sigma2470 - Кино
What a video review. That b-roll was inspired. But, the title = 10/10 😙👌
This is the upgrade I was waiting for. A good replacement for my Gen 1 Tamron F2.8 28-75mm. Great review
How was focus breathing compared to Panasonic 24-70?
Thank you Josh for this valuable video🙏.
Thanks for watching!
@@JoshCameron 🙏❤️
woaaaah…. we get a Mk2 of my most beloved Zoom Lens?! awesome 🧡
Great video! Can't wait to see you review the upcoming Lumix S9
Amazing lens! Great review!!
Thanks dude!
Yes. Please review focus breathing and parfocal ability for video. I like a lightweight kit, but i also like to get one lens for photo and video if possible.
Already love the first 24-70
and use it for most of my photos.
But looks like the mark ii is
now considerable for video too.
Can it be switched to linear on the s5iix and is it parfocal?
That’s awesome!! I saw one RUclipsr accidentally upload his review two days ago, and also leaks/rumours about this lens last month,
So nice to see it finally true and I waited perfectly for this new version,
I still find it hard to choose between the 28-70mm C lens being lighter, but now I’ll consider this :)
Nice to know your in Japan now, and at the lumix summit, was this a part of the summit with this lens ?
As always love the review! Hopefully I can get my hands on a sample unit to test it out here in NZ
Thanks Josh. Can you elaborate two points: 1) How is the manual focus on the sigma vs the Panasonic? I know the latter has a focus clutch so it might be better but how does the manual focusing feel on the sigma overall? 2) What about parfocality on both lenses?
Super tight video man - pretty much everything I need to know on this lens.
Cheers mate! We need to catch up soon!
So, will it replace your 28-70? Because that's the boat i'm currently in too - I'm really impressed by that lens. Thanks for the video, good sir.
Thanks for the nice review Josh! I'm still trying to figure out from all the reviews, is the behaviour of aperture in video mode smooth or stepped, when filming in the aperture priority mode on the new Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 DG DN Art Mark II, ? Can you please confirm ?
Love the videos
Fantastic video!
Thank you ! I appreciate you watching :)
What can we affect with the two AFL buttons ? Can I assign a record button on it ?
great video. Cheers
The Sony E mount version has a 15 frame limit in continuous shooting is there anything like that for Lumix cameras?
Is it like, when i record video and the auto aperture changes brcause light changes, that the declicked aperture makes a smoth transition?
Great video mate! Makes me sad to have left Japan! 😭
is the autofocus on the ART ii better than the Lumix PRO?
Will stick to the sigma 28-70, love the lightness and it's sharp enough
My Lumix S-Pro 24-70mm has been my workhorse for the last 2 years, it's a shame that Sigma couldn't be totally on par with this generation, I would like to recommend it without any hesitation but unfortunately this lens isn't parfocal, although it has great features.
Hey Josh, where is your review of the Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 for L mount? It came out last year, right?
I got the S Pro 24-70mm f2.8 a year ago and I can't look back
Yes it’s still the best
I pre-ordered the Sigma 24-70mii but im windering if the Panasonic 24-70 is better. I'd orefer to stay native. What do you think?
Yes the Lumix is better
Great review - thank you! Used LUMIX 24-70 or this…? There’s a few on eBay around £1200
It depends on whether you value sharpness or size and weight! I love both, so I’d say that’s the only deciding factor :)
28-70 had better contrast though and sharpness was very close.
Did they fix the dust issue? 😅
If one is already using Sigma 24-70mm Mark 1, doesn't need to be upgraded. M1 is already set in the camera and hands
waiting for lumix to drop the teased zoom lens with open apeture… if you look at the roadmap it could be a 28-70 f2.8 or if they do it like canon they will release a 28-70 f2.0
both would be a gamechanger and a lens changer for me 😂 giving up my Sigma 24-70
The only problem I have is zhat I can‘t wait anymore hahaha
Damn. Where did you hear that LUMIX will drop a new zoom? What do you think would the pricepoint be of a 24-70 f2.0?
@@leocaptured just go to google and search for „panasonic l mount roadmap“ and you will find an overwiew. There you can see that they will release a new zoom lens with wide open apeture. If I do interpretate it right, it looks like the lens will start at 28 not 24 and you don‘t know what they will really do. Maybe they will release something different or brand new.
My guesses are a 28-70 2.8 that will be lightweight or a 28-70 f2.0 as a killer machine 😂 but the first one‘s maybe the more possible option because you can see at the roadmap that it will be a S line lens not the S Pro 😅
I‘m excited what really happens. Maybe my guesses will become reality or maybe not 🤷♂️
I still think the 28-70 is still great for travel, i use it like 70% time. the fact is still ligher/smaller is enough for me over the better quality in photo for the 24-70
Few days ago I just got the 28-70, worth returning and paying the extra $400 for the 2470mkII? Granted I got the 28-70 to save $200 over getting the original 24-70 (along with size).
Could always rent it and see how you like it. But I'm at a stage personally where I'm trying to shrink my kit as much as possible.
How did you end up deciding?
Amazing and frustrating upgrade... ARGHHH I only own the Mark I for a few months...
I don't think the Lumix S Pro is actually warmer though (not evenly like a temp shift).. but it rather renders some tones more on the warmer side, but it doesn't show on every colors.
Mainly shows on skintones.
Hey Josh I’m not sure if you have any information on this. But has Sirui gone bust!?. Because suddenly all their anamorphic lenses have vanished off of Amazon U.K.!. All of the Saturn lenses suddenly overnight gone and every other full frame lens gone. So I’m assuming they’re bust and out of business!.
Does this have OIS
Filming in Japan? Does that mean Panasonic flew you out for a new camera release?
The real question is if you're ditching your 28-70 for it.
Great point. Is is really worth shelling out $1000 if you already have one. Definitely not providing a $1000 difference in quality from the original.
@@coreyfromtheconscious I think trade in value for the 28-70 is around $7-800.. so I guess that would be worth considering. Either way, I'm just waiting for that Samyang 35-150 to pair with a wide and then I'm going to call it a day.
I love my 28-70mm and value it being way cheaper/lighter/compact than 24-70mm lenses.
The 4mm with a step or two back is an easy workaround!
@@jonagreyphoto agreed!
@@jonagreyphoto Same, it's pretty wild how compact and lightweight the 28-70 is. The main lens that convinced me to go FF Lumix. Some quick math, but you could carry the Sigma 16-28 + 28-70 and be less than half a pound heavier than the 24-70ii alone. Some tradeoffs obviously, but that's pretty amazing.
However, I bet the Sigma 24-70ii is super nice for what it is.
I own Sony ZVE1.. the main character when i’m choosing a lens, it must weight not more than 500gram. This will make my setup lightweight. So i will say yes for Sigma 28-70 but still a no no for new Sigma 24-70
Good review. It looks like a nice lens, but sharpness is not everything. The 24-70mm S Pro has really excellent rendering, the best I have seen, even compared to the 24-70mm GM II. I don't think this Sigma will be as good.
I agree, what isn't sharp these days? Rendering is subjective, but when you have magical glass, it's definitely inspiring and worth noting.
@@TerryPagel Indeed.
Criminal that U.K. and Us price is so similar
exchange rate + tax inclusive vs no tax inclusive
@@SolaSly exchange rate around 1.28 so should be around 20% down on price. 👀
NO EF MOUNT VERSION *SAD PANDA NOISES*
he could have tried a 24-70 f/2
Think the narrative of there isn't enough L mount lens out there is slowly going. Seems there is more and more lens. The price though 😂😂😂. That's two months rent in one lens 😂😂
Same with every system... good glass costs good money! EF "L" lenses were even more expensive - same with RF.
@@minktronics I know. I prefer prime lens so they tend to be a little less. Or I just wait until the price drops 😆
Upgrade? If you own a previous version then it's not much of an upgrade. It looks like a previous version is more compelling now that it went on sale for $899.
I always found FF 24-70 boring and too expensive. It’s the first time I consider one.
Nah most versatile lens would be a 35-150 f2-2.8 lens
The Samyang 35-150 f2-2.8 is coming to L mount soon!
@@minktronics hopefully or though they said that before Christmas
@@harryvlogs7833 Member of the L-mount alliance......with no L-mount lenses 💀
But it'll be a good day once they finally show up!
@ywmedia what are you talking about there are loads of l mount lenses
It's so useless to compare corner sharpness at close focus distances as you did! It's just one scenario, you really must compare at infinit focus and portrait focus distances to get a grip on their real performance.
would you take a set of lumix primes or this lens?
