And he could have much better control in the air at the peak of his jump like he is floating for a short time. Then his Jab should have a larger hitbox with a magic wind effect (more for visual, since it would likely be too strong if he could send windboxes with every jab) that can shock opponents but isn't too strong. This is referencing his waves of evil energy or whatever it was that he does to Link in the cutscene before his fight in OoT, which I'm pretty sure the Jab is referencing anyways. But I think the Aerials should maybe be made different overall (except the FAir and DAir which are too good and iconic, but DAir could at least be a different animation but the same move). But anyways, those are my thoughts on what can be made different, but I think its good enough already.
Sakurai: Huh? Oh you want him to stay as Captain Falcon right? Got it. I mean it's not like other characters were changed but my Ganondorf is special he gets to stay shit in every game because I decide never to change him for no reason.
PolishToy Gamer14 Not really. I like Ganondorf how he is. I would miss him if they changed him. I feel like if they reworked him he would be less hype and more campy. Ganon is best how he is
I remember when I first unlocked Ganondorf in Melee back in the day, I was telling people he was a clone of Captain Falcon and nobody believed me at first. It didn't make sense for someone to be a clone of someone else from a different franchise
But that was a custom move and not a special move that ganoondorf had by default so technically he doesnt use a sword. And besides, they literally just cropped a sword into his hand and called it a day.
@@swagdrakefan8791 I also want to add that its so inconsistent in the air and its not really a good recovery move since if you miss the ledge at the end of the move then you cant drift to it as well as his up b

Ganondorf never used a trident in his human form outside of a non-canon game, and was only a floaty mage in Ocarina. In most times he's been fought as a Gerudo, he has mainly used swords and some physical attacks. I'd rather not have my main become another floaty zoner, thank you.
I consider characters like Ganondorf, Luigi, Roy, and Lucas to be "semi-clones"; meaning that their movesets are conceptually similar to those of other characters, but wildly different in execution.
There's one thing I never understood, and that was why Ganon's recovery is so weak, like, he can freaking fly so why can't even get back at the stage many times
I was so happy when Ganon finally got the sword, something to differentiate himself from Captain Falcon, but it still wasn’t even since their special moves are still identical. yeah they have different properties, and slightly different animations, like Falcon’s Down B doesn’t spike but Ganon’s does, but overall, still the same idea :/
I say that Captain Falcon's Dad should get a reworked moveset but Black Shadow get added into the next game and uses Captain Falcon's Dad's old moveset.
Ganon not having his own moveset is travesty. He's not some one off character in the Zelda series. He's the goddamn main villain and a third of the Triforce.
People used to call ganondorf the "crappy clone of captain falcon" but this guy can warlock punch and has a sword. I say it's worth calling him unique.
I think the real problem is "why does Ganondorf, a dude who uses either a sword or ranged magic, have a fighting style so similar to a dude who fights like an anime protagonist, despite it having little to do with his original game, if any?"
Ganondorf cant cuz his jump height is pathetic and he falls too fast. But kirby can thanks to his slow falling speed and multiple jumps, to top it off kirby even has a 1.2x damage and knockback multiplier to copied special moves.
@@pizzawonderer5024 no I think you confused Ganondorf's fall speed with Falcon as Captain Falcon falls faster while Ganondorf is slower while falling so it could be possible but I agree on the fact that he doesn't have the best jump height.
To this day I still don't see why Ganondorf has yet to be given his own built from the ground up move-set. Rushing him in Melee has basically ruined him for the entire series. Just add in a second F-Zero character with Ganon's old move-set if you've gotta have it so much it's worth ruining an iconic character forever.
Because changing too much would have meant creating an exception to "Everyone is Here." And how many people actually _care_ about the F-Zero cast? Current Ganondorf mains don't just want to keep the moveset, they want to keep the moveset on a Zelda series character.

Ironically, Captain Falcon has lost his old, and more unique looking foward smash, that elbow strike, in favour of a backhand strike... much like Ganondorf's Warlock Punch.
@@thelavaslug5465 Yeah Smash Ultimate feels almost rushed in some ways. Link was updated to be his BotW appearance, but they barely even changed him. It should have been a full overhaul instead of him having remote bombs and basically nothing else. Young Link is fine as he is honestly, but Toon Link so pointless. At least give him unique items instead of the basic Link bomb, boomerang, and bow for specials. And don't get me started on how Peach/Daisy, and Richter/Simon have almost no differences and could easily be swapped between. Or how Chrom makes no sense with him literally appearing in Robin's final smash and even victory screen sometimes, which feels super strange. Or how Palutena's guidance was updated for Piranha Plant, yet none of the previous 5 new fighters (Plant was obviously finished and was just delayed to advertise the DLC). Or how the right platform on Pokemon Stadium 1 is slightly angled all of a sudden, which is clearly just a mistake. Yeah the game should have been updated post release beyond characters

@@flamingpaper7751 Yeah, I definetly agree with you there. If u wanna go into the technical side of it Ganondorf and Falcon share the same Wire frame Models. In fact Ganondorfs model is just Falcons reworked with newer animations from all the way back to the Melee days. Its a way for the DEVS to save time especially as Mario and Luigi also share the same Wire Frame Models and fox along with Falco.
Personally, I'm fine with Ganon being a pseudo clone of Falcon. Yeah it would be tight if he had his own original moveset, but I've grown to love this slow but heavy hitting Gerudo with a big ass sword.
When you make a copy cat character, you make them from the same series! Why would you mix two different characters from two completely different series? All of the echo fighters or fighters like Pichu, Dr. Mario, Young Link, and Toon Link are from the same series. The Legend of Zelda is a game series about Wizards, magic spells, fairies, emeralds, and an evil and dark lord called Ganondorf and Link has to stop him with any light weapons and F-Zero is all about death racing, bounty hunting, and the one and only Captain Falcon.
Ganon was a last minute addition to melee, a game that was already incredibly rushed. Falcon had a similar character model to Ganon (both tall humanoids) and so they just copied his moveset and tweaked it. Even Falcon himself was a product of time saving; in 64 Falcon was only added as a means of re-using the assets from the original demo build that just had generic fighters, which is why Falcon in smash has almost nothing to do with his home series either.
So basicly ganon is a clone of falcon who is heavier and in most moves stronger but some attacks are different like we already knew that ganon attacks would be more powerfull
Fun fact: In 4 and Brawl, Ganondorf could use his Volcano Kick on top of a rolling crate and fly forward at an incredible speed, being a hard to hit but insanely epic combo. When items were changed to not be affected by his Volcano Kick's windbox, he sadly lost that ability.
One time I was playing against ganondorf as captain falcon then noticed the down bs were both the same then I realized they did Gannon dirty and literally has the same move set as captain falcon basically
I don’t think Ganondorf needs a move set change as he’s unique enough to be his own character, but I’ll admit I’m being lenient with the word “unique.” I say they add a phantom Ganon or something to more closely resemble his canon abilities.

We desperately need a Ganondorf rework in the next game.
No kidding. Why can't he summon Phantoms, use an electric orb, or warp?
I want him to use his Cape as a reflector and the Orb from Ocarina of time
Better yet, give him the trident from Hyrule Warriors to make him represent Pig Ganon as well!

Not really. I like Ganondorf how he is.

Ganon is best how he is
I remember when I first unlocked Ganondorf in Melee back in the day, I was telling people he was a clone of Captain Falcon and nobody believed me at first. It didn't make sense for someone to be a clone of someone else from a different franchise
2:25 It's actually not the first time, since Ganondorf had a custom move in Smash 4 that let him use his sword from Twilight Princess.
But that was a custom move and not a special move that ganoondorf had by default so technically he doesnt use a sword.
And besides, they literally just cropped a sword into his hand and called it a day.
More magic attacks should be given to him in Smash 6

So the most important things are
1. Captain: faster/longer, Ganon: stronger/heavier
2. Ganon's smash attack is sword(very different)
3. Ganon's side b is a command grab

I dont think him having his sword actually makes him unique, because his smash attacks are just ike's/cloud's smash attacks. And also he never used the sword and was used in a demo of a game that never existed. “Fraternal echos” maybe?
Ganon is the only semi-clone in that entire line-up
I never thought of Luigi as a semi-echo fighter.

GREAT, now i want a version of the game where Ganon has the Blue Falcon as his final smash

Actually, a Reverse warlock punch conected while in the air can 0% kill
Ganondorf cant cuz his jump height is pathetic and he falls too fast. But kirby can thanks to his slow falling speed and multiple jumps, to top it off kirby even has a 1.2x damage and knockback multiplier to copied special moves.

OMG YES! I have been waiting for this one for a while.

What’s the name of the outro song? Saw the description of your friend’s soundcloud but I cant find it
One Is Crazy Fast And feeds off of Easy to use combos, while the Other Is hard to use and takes Time to Actually use him efficiently
Ganon still being a clone (moveset wise) is honestly super lazy. Having a sword doesn't change that at all
Especially since he's never used that sword in a single Zelda game and the animations he has with said sword are just reused from other characters.
@@thelavaslug5465 He uses a Sword in Twilight Princess. His Smash attacks should have been based of that game, but they decided to go cheap and just copy-paste over moves from Ike and Cloud.
@@petery6432 Yeah I know, but since that Sword has only been used in one game, and the rest of his swords are also exclusive to one game, I still feel like he should use his recurring trident. @@flamingpaper7751 Yeah, I definetly agree with you there. While I am satisfied with Ultimate overall, it just feels like it could have used a few more months of development time to flesh out the clones and make them feel more distinct. Ganon was more of a clone in previous versions
And previous smash but now it’s a semi clone
If u wanna go into the technical side of it Ganondorf and Falcon share the same Wire frame Models. In fact Ganondorfs model is just Falcons reworked with newer animations from all the way back to the Melee days. Its a way for the DEVS to save time especially as Mario and Luigi also share the same Wire Frame Models and fox along with Falco.
Personally, I'm fine with Ganon being a pseudo clone of Falcon. Yeah it would be tight if he had his own original moveset, but I've grown to love this slow but heavy hitting Gerudo with a big ass sword.
YES! I KNEW I WASN'T THE ONLY ONE WHO ANALYSED THIS DURING QUARANTINE!
Well cap is fast ganon strong er man
2:02 VERY exposed my fellow men understand
@@jimjam1556 At least Ganon embodies POWER.
The difference you ask? Captain falcon gets all the buffs, Ganon gets none.
Since Ganondorf finally is able to use his sword, can we get a petition to allow Falcon to use his gun that he has?

Yeah, him and sonic need a moveset change.

Captain falcons final smash is just a generic flashy super but ganondorfs can do two things the obvious one is he charges into everyone in front of him knocking them back and killing if at high enough damage.
And the second thing he can do is at the start he swings his swords down which acts as a powerful spike that acts as a powerful edge guarding tool.
