    I have a question about bettering the quality of sound my speaker is producing. Records with more bass tend to make the sound really distorted or staticky. I have the volume on the receiver almost all the way down and use the Bluetooth speaker volume control. Could it be possible that my speaker just isn’t powerful enough?

    Thank you for the video - Ive watched several on this topic and wondered if you can provide advice on if the speakers are wired as well- I have a pair of definitive wired (not RCA, but via speaker wire) speakers to my receiver - if I get the Miccus RTX for the receiver - and set onto transmit, and so to convert the speakers - is there a product that I could wire on the back of the speakers to receive? I will say that my soldering abilities are nil, so would like to discover if there is a way to make the receiver transmit to speakers - and instead of being wired, to have them be a wireless transmission. Thank you.

    • @breakerbroke23
      @breakerbroke23  6 лет назад

      Hello.
      Your speakers are going to need an Amplifier to make them work. So I would use the RTX as a receiver so you could play bluetooth music via your home stereo. Like using your Smart Phone to play your song list.....

    I have a small speaker by the hot tub which is approximately 50 feet from the tv. In the speakers description, it states it can receive up to 30 feet. Do you think this long range transmitter will allow it to work at that distance? I guess I'm asking if the advertised reception distance of a given device even matters if the transmitter is able to push its signal the entire distance needed?

    • @breakerbroke23
      @breakerbroke23  4 года назад +1

      I would try the RTX, it has the external antenna that gives it an edge over other smaller units with internal antennas. Miccus also has a extended range antenna ( amzn.to/3h6Qt6m )
      that would give a little more distance. You have to keep in mind that the advertised range is not always set in stone, I have used BT units that do not come close to advertised range and I have had some go beyond the advertised range, also the walls and wiring will affect range, usually interfering and lowering range. BTW... Speakers can differ in receive range as well.
      Its worth a try IMHO

I really don't want to buy speakers and set this all up again. I only want to listen to my old albums and cds once and awhile. Using TV speakers won't work, TVs only put out a Bluetooth signal, so no.

      May I suggest looking at these speakers, they are small and sound pretty good, oh best of all, very inexpensive. amzn.to/3aJHQvY (or the next size larger)

    Clear as a bell, very well explained... I will buy this... Thanks! What if I add a phono jack to my stereo, not the headphone jack which would cut off the main speakers, but hooked in line with my main speakers so I could listen to the main speakers and have extension speakers, my bluetooth speakers in another room playing at the same time, would there be latency? I guess I will find out...

    • @breakerbroke23
      @breakerbroke23  2 года назад +2

      The speaker output from the stereo amplifier would damage the RTX, (way to much power output). You could however add a line tap to the speaker outputs between the stereo and speakers. But yes, you will latency.
      Also check out the new RTX PRO version. a bit more flexible and updated BT 5.0 ruclips.net/video/pzQmQAydVfQ/видео.html
      It is a few $ more but a very nice device. Stay tuned, I will make a video on this unit showing how to hook it up to the home stereo. If I can find a good line tap lying around I will show that as well. Cheers

      @@breakerbroke23 Okay, I'm going to keep the older model and am ready to open up the stereo case and go in and solder a small wire to keep the internal plug connector from breaking the circuit so main speakers will stay on as well as the transmitter getting the headphone jack power level needed to make it work properly then. Would that be a good solution? I wasn't able to locate a line tap and if you would, could you post a link to one on Amazon I could order... that would be the preferred way for me rather than having to go into the stereo and modify the headphone jack connector. thx.

    • @breakerbroke23
      @breakerbroke23  2 года назад

      If you have the capability to crack open your receiver and do the solder work, then hell yes! I think that is a great idea.

  • @kbtube8125
    @kbtube8125 5 лет назад

    i'm new to this stuff, but it looks like ANYthing line level will work, but by plugging direct into a tape deck, you won't get any eq/tone control you would get by passing the signal through the amp/preamp. maybe the speakers have eq? I don't know, but that would be nice as you could adjust eq without having to walk back to amp/preamp.

    I have a pair of Acoustic Research speakers that have a built in amp. Normally it uses a 900mhz transmit signal to make it wireless for outdoor use. Bluetooth doesn't use the 900mhz band, so Bluetooth won't link up to the speakers. It does however, have an aux. input jack, that a receive Bluetooth board can be installed to with its own power supply. When I picked up these speakers at a secondhand store, the 900mhz transmitter didn't come with them, so I now am installing a proper Bluetooth hookup to these speakers for outdoor use, as well as installing the separate Bluetooth transmitter connection at the unit I wish ti listen to. Wa-la, I have great sounding wireless speakers again for outdoor use. It just took hooking a small Bluetooth receiver board at each speaker hookup, with a small power supply to operate it. I'll both operating at less than half the cost of going after the 900mhz transmitter, the speaker normally uses to make it warless. I have a couple of extra boards that I will be adding to a pair of small guitar amps, which will also make them far more versatile when playing along with karaoke songs off the internet. Bluetooth is neat.

      They are expensive, but OMG the sound is terriffic. You can hear notes and sounds that usually can only be heard on a big very expensive stereo set up. It has special builtin speakers, but they fill the whole room with sound without being super loud. You should try one. You have to hear it in person to appreciate it.
      As I said, it is not portable. I was wondering if the set up you showed would work with this to pair with separate Bose bluetooth wireless speakers that I want to take outside?

    Brilliant! If transmitting when playing vinyl, do you lose the analog vintage sound?

    • @breakerbroke23
      @breakerbroke23  2 года назад +1

      Great question...
      Yes, and no. The use of BT itself doesn't take much from the sound, its more in how you play it back. If using a small BT speaker you do not get the fidelity of vinyl, however if you BT to a set of nice powered monitors or a larger home stereo (like in another part of your home) the sound can be decent. IMO

      The transmitter in this video (RTX2.0) will not transmit to a pair of spkrs, The Swivel Jack by MICCUS will pair to two spks. Understand you may have some delay between the two paired spks. ruclips.net/video/H0uL3kbLXz0/видео.html

      Also, what would be your recommendation to connect to a pair of speakers in my garden?
      I'm planning to buy these: www.amazon.com/Pyle-PDWR51BTWT-Waterproof-Bluetooth-Speakers/dp/B01954Q028

      Yes, The way I described should do what you want just fine. The BT unit can NOT go between the Turntable and rcvr. So try a Tape mon out.. Good luck.
      UPDATE/BRAIN STORM......
      HOOK UP THE BT TX TO YOUR HEADPHONE OUT PUT. That would let you listen to a BT Spkr AND your home Spkrs at the same time with full volume control.

      Hi, Breakerbroke23,
      Why do you say this cannot be used between the turntable and the amp? Does the unit not accept line level signals? Cause if it does, then the following sequence should do what John Villeneuve was wanting to do.
      As I understood his question, he wants the turntable to transmit to the amp from one location, then have the amp play normally at its location AND re-transmit to a Bluetooth speaker simultaneously.
      I would try this: Turnatable --> phono to line pre-amp --> Bluetooth Transmitter... Then, with a Bluetooth Receiver, you can pick up that signal with the amp. Then if you wanted to Transmit to a Bluetooth speaker as well, you'd need another Transmitter, as your reply suggested. Sure, 2 BT transmitters, 1 BT receiver, and 1 phono pre-amp are expensive and impractical, but it should work. No? Or did I miss something?
      An ever better solution is if there are units that transmit to TWO receivers simultaneously. I don't know if they make that.
      Cheers! ;-)

    • @breakerbroke23

      Hi Robert.
      The Miccus will not pass through analog signal, (It will pass through TOSLink) So for John to do what he wants, adding a BT Transmitter to a Tape mon out will work just fine. But depending on his receiver will not be able to control volume on the bluetooth. Your idea will work if he wants to go to that experience. and he needs to give the BT Transmitter a RIAA phono Preamp signal.
      NO NO NO STOP.... He could hook up the Bluetooth Transmitter via a HEADPHONE out! YES.. Then he would have control of volume as well..and only need one BT TRansmitter!!!!
      BAM! We did it. Great follow up Robert. WINNING!

    This is actually quite inefficient: digital sources will be converted to Analog by the amplifier DAC, because the headphone jack is an analog output. Then the Analog signal from the headphone jack is converted back to a digital signal (Bluetooth adapter). Then your bluetooth headphone DAC will convert it back to an analog signal (since all heard music is analog). Which makes me wonder why there's so few amplifiers (or other digital equipment) which can do bluetooth transmit. Basically every phone or mobile device can do it, so why not amplifiers? People would like to use their (often expensive) bluetooth headphones inside and around their house as well! "Why," would some people ask, "why not simply use your bluetooth headphones with your phone inside the house? ", well, the quality of the DAC inside your amp is usually much better than the DAC inside your phone or tablet.
