    Hey, nice video. I just hooked up an Optimus stereo receiver that has been in a box for 21 years. Still works good. Radio stations with a usable signal are few and undesirable (I live kinda rural). So I'd like to be able to hook my device remotely to the receiver. I gotta get me one of those Bluetooth tx/rx units. I got a streaming service that knows what I like. Thx for the vid.

    thanks and sorry in advance for all the questions but i am very interested in playing music from my older shelf system to a nice bluetooth speaker like a harmon kardon aura speaker ... so it seems the miccus would work well as a transmitter, but can u clarify something for me? when u use the miccus as a receiver, the music from your cell phone is playing through the hard wired stereo speakers instead of the bluetooth jbl speaker, correct? if so then is the sound quality better or worse than going directly from cell phone to jbl via bluetooth? if so, then what if any is the benefit of streaming music from the phone to the old stereo if u already have a wireless speaker like the jbl?

      You could try this.... ruclips.net/video/5TqMm2dN-2I/видео.html
      Or use some powered BT speakers amzn.to/3WT5wHV But these have a separate volume control. Problem is, there will be latency from the main stereo to the rear spks. The latency with the setting of the volume control for the rears will be a big PITA. I would try and wire the rears and run them from your stereo. IMHO the best way to go. Cheers

    Question please
    Once the transmitter is plugged into headphone jack, does that mean you cant listen to your home stereo speakers at the same time as the blue tooth speakers now. So its one or the other not both sets of speakers at the same time?

      Correct. If you want both at the same time then plug the BT device into a TAPE OUT.

      The MICCUS RTX is a top performing entry level device...... I like the Fiio BTA 30 pro as long as you don't need analog input, I use the USB and optical for input. If money is not a problem then look at the iFi Audio ZEN BLUE V3, it has all the inputs needed. RCA, Opt, coax,USB.... If your Yama receiver does not have PHONO input then yes you will need a PHONO pre-amp, you can then plug the PHONO pre-amp into a AUX RCA or whatever RCA you have available.....CD,TV,TAPE IN, AUX XXXX....

    Hi- just watched your video on making home stereo into a bluetooth transmitter or receiver - VERY HELPFUL. However is there a way to do that and while listening to the stereo speakers, also tap into a bluetooth speaker while outside - at the same time?

    • @breakerbroke23
      @breakerbroke23  Год назад

      Yes, if your receiver has RCA out or a RCA loop. You may be able to use a tape out but volume will not be adjustable from the tuner. If you have a location where you will hear both indoor/outdoor speakers at the same time you will notice some or a lot of latency. Latency will depend on your BT transmitter. Try to get a low latency transmitter to "help" reduce latency. I have done this with my Marantz receiver transmitting to my SML amp and speakers out on the patio.
      Cheers

    • @breakerbroke23
      @breakerbroke23  10 месяцев назад +1

      If your BT transmitter will transmit to two receivers like 2 headphones. Usually that type of transmitter is for watching TV and will have or marketed as a LL ( low latency) device. Transmitting to two headphones is no big deal as each listener will not hear the slight latency between both headphones. However using two speakers you will hear the latency between the two speakers. Long story short...... you could try two speakers, but depending how the speakers "play" with the transmitter the delay is super annoying. Note that this may be a trial and error situation as not all BT devices play nice whit each other. Cheers

    • @breakerbroke23
      @breakerbroke23  11 месяцев назад

      No. The JBL will amplify the sound using its own built in amplifier. The Signal coming from the stereo is low level RCA or AUX going into the Bluetooth device, the BT device sends audio via a radio signal to the JBLs BT receiver, that low level signal goes to the JBLs amplifier thus sending that audio information to the speakers. There is no way to over amplify the JBLs drivers (speakers) as the JBLs amplifier is very small output wise, the drivers are designed to take the power of that amplifier. Cheers
