u/SootheBB has provided an update regarding their missing co-worker: www.reddit.com/r/RBI/comments/k338tm/update_on_missing_coworker/
Wow
obvious bs story
I understand better that he wasn't really related to the coworker so can't actually do much. I still find strange how little information we have and how it seems everybody in his entourage don't give a flying f...about him.
I lived a similar case once, but it was a close friend and in the same day we started investigating and in the middle night we got a police call they found him. It's a good ending but it could of turned to the worst. If you have any suspicion about someone missing, please make followed up closely.
its not rlly an update since nothing happened

Hearing “there hasn’t been any follow up” has got to be the most unsatisfying thing to hear in these types of stories :/
Much more terrifying when you dont know how it ended or if it was even real
Or just plain terrifying
Eh, I disagree. To me it’s the equivalent of “the bodies were never recovered”. Kind of a cop-out to make something more mysterious than it is, if it isn’t complete bs.
Usually when this happens it's because it was fake. OP wanted to troll some people, but the post blew out of proportion, so they chicken out and stop the play.
Fortunately, sometimes the OP provides an update because of the necro video, such as SootheBB did a few hours ago.
That one with the husband turning into a creep way late in their relationship freaks me out really badly. I’m in a long term relationship right now, and neither of us are particularly controlling. The idea of my lover becoming so twisted on that way scares me
it hits such a specific fear to be sure. i cant imagine being in that sceneraio

@@jetskiles3613 if he can’t trust her 100% and she can’t trust him 100% that marriage is not going to work.
@@Bradphil87 I disagree. People can have genuine trauma around unfaithful partners. That doesn't mean they are monsters who deserve to be alone and every relationship they get into will fail. As long as they are in therapy and their partner is willing to take steps to give them peace of mind the relationship can work. According to the internet no one should ever be insecure or need reassurance from the partner ever or theyre a controlling monster.

The fake DCS case sounds like a human trafficking operation.
Absolutely. It’s so prevalent actually, more people should be aware of this scam. It happens worldwide

The one about the stalker husband: a possible indicator of lying is non-specific things. Such as saying he saw the dog died on “social media.” Most people would give the specific site that they saw it on: “I saw it on Instagram/Twitter/Facebook”
The term “social media” would be used to refer to social networking in general, but when describing something specific you saw, you’d say the specific site.
But when needing to come up with a lie on the spot, you’re more likely to not think of something specific quickly but instead something more general.
Thanks Anna
Thanks Anna
As a general point, i'd agree but with so many social media platforms (and the same thing being posted across platforms) i don;t think that is telling in itself unless that person is usually specific in their use of the those terms.
@@justme-hh4vp thanks
I was thinking that too. Suspicious as hell
I am honestly, genuinely, worried that the last woman's husband killed her.
Elizabeth, even if that horrible possibility may have happened. What could you yourself have done to prevent it? The only thing anyone can do from hearing these kinds of stories is learn from rhem sonthst you yourself can protect you should anything like this happen to you.
Yeah couldn't possibly be he had a co-worker cheat from those same long trips away from home so he got paranoid(especially factoring him maybe being cheated on in the past) and decided for that and other reasons to commit the gut wrenching crime of installing home monitoring systems in...his own home!

It's possible but he never showed aggressive behaviour ( at least in the reddit post )
Only controlling and over the top anxiety behaviour
Which is still bad ( and needs treatment )
But I'm going to stay positive and optimistic and give the story the benefit of the doubt
Maybe they talked about it and got a mutual positive result ?
Maybe he was scared because he was cheated on in a previous relationship?
For the one from legal advice, imagine the family eating at the dinner table when the kid is grown up and the mom brings up “You know, you were almost kidnapped before you were born, but thankfully, reddit was able to save us.”
I just imagend the father being 45 or something and he says "That was a proud reddit moment"
That's almost undoubtedly child trafficking.

That long pause between the conclusion of the DCS case was so nerve-wracking. I almost thought there was no follow up to that case.
Yo me too, this man left me wondering for a good second
Here's what made no sense to me.
The story says shes 9 months pregnant.
Then Nexpo says "hours passed, then days, then months"
Then concludes the story in which she's still not had her baby yet 🙁 that made no sense to me at all.
@@harrydavey9884 yeah now that you mention it, that's pretty weird. Unless she was exaggerating in the first post, like closer to almost 7 months which to a lot of pregnant people is basically 9 months, then by the second she's going into overdue territory
@@harrydavey9884the post was probably only a couple of days later, the account is nuked now though
I have a horrible feeling that CPS woman was going to take the child "Into adoption" and either keep the baby for herself or sell it into Trafficking...
My question is how did the woman know the history of the family, that the husband had a felony drug charge on his record? Scary.
@@DollyKauionalani Police records and some housing records are pretty public, and couples who are expecting a child tend to be pretty publicly open about the fact that they are. It would be a matter of scouring some police records, finding the people, and then looking at their public social media profiles. It's surprisingly easy how technology makes targeted crime.
@@inkynewt true
That’s horrifying to think about
What's especially creepy is if you Google 'posed as dcs', there's a fairly high profile case that happened in 2015 where someone posed as a DC's worker in Indiana and killed a newborns mother and stole the baby. This was in 2015 so before the Reddit post and couldn't be same person, but disturbing someone more than likely read about the crime and though yes this is a good idea...
the pregnant woman one was almost 100% trafficking. traffickers/sellers like to make sure the babies will be healthy and perfectly fine so that explains the drug tests. i hope everything turned out alright, that would be one of my biggest fears as a soon to be parent.
fuck. that's genuinely horrifying. the lengths monsters will go to abduct a child is nauseating; i refuse to give them any amount of validation by calling them human
@@pyIorus They're not random monsters, they're part of organised crime. This is clearly a well-practiced operation and the caseworker is female too. It's usually women in the 'interaction' part of such operations because people won't think that they would do that, society isn't suspicious of women but highly suspicious of men. Human trafficking is big money so you know organised criminals, corporations, governments, police forces, and militaries are often complicit in one way or another. Just as they are in weapons and drug trade.
@@two-facedhypocrite3809 I'd abduct children for that (joke) (unless...)
Where are you getting this from? A trafficker doesn't want to snatch a newborn in a 1st world country with functioning police after tipping herself off to the mother. How would that even work? Some woman would just yoink the baby out of the mother's arms in the hospital bed (like she said they might do) and the hospital staff doesn't even ask for proof or verification?
Woah that would be so so crazy to be scared by "cps" but its not even cps just some random bitch wants to steal your baby and to go through all that. Wow how terrible of a person do you have to be to devistate a family like that

Dude it’s probably not that deep at all.
Chances are the girl was really just looking for tips on how to avoid detection. Y’all remember that one little “husband is probably projecting his own cheating” bit, well a few things stand out about her. Why did she have to make a point of saying she confirmed her husbands business trips were real? Who confirms that shit, also her husband’s possible spying began around February but one can also say her paranoia also began at the time, she also began to have a lot more alone time. I mean who could blame her if she did decide to have an affair and this was actually her guilt getting to her? Why did she want the post deleted? If you remember it had to be dug up through an archive. Doubt there was any foul play here, I mean, at least from the hubs part.
The DCS story really hits home for me, as I was involved in a similar (though far less elaborate) event as a very young baby. My parents were in a Miami airport terminal with me, waiting for their flight, when all of a sudden this random lady started fighting with them. She eventually called some of the airport security over, claiming that I was her child and that my parents were attempting to steal me from her. Luckily, nothing came of it, and I managed to live a happy life with my real parents, but it’s still crazy to think about the fact that it even happened in the first place.
What if... 😂

As a recovered addict of over a decade the story of the guy who abruptly left work breaks my heart. Many recovered addicts, myself included, are estranged from our families and especially our parents. Usually because we had highly abusive childhoods that contributed to our need to self medicate. I am not at all surprised that his mother didn't care. I come from an extremely dysfunctional family that I had to cut ties with in order for my survival. If I disappeared and somebody called one of them they wouldn't give a damn either! More should have been done for this man. People have such a hard time believing that a mother would not care if their child went missing, but trust and believe, not all mothers love their children. My hope is that it is all a hoax.

We recently had our first child, a baby girl. Almost immediately after birth, doctors put a tracking ankle bracelet on her. It would raise an alarm if it was removed, or got too close to an exit. When we were discharged and they finally removed it about 30 minutes before we left they told us "Nobody will come and need to take her for any reason." The pregnancy story made it hit home just how real that possibility is.
My kid is 3, and when we were still in the hospital, the ankle bracelet they attached made the doors lock if he came too close. I also heard a story that my mother almost got snatched at a grocery store when she was young. It's been happening for a long, long time and is definitely a scary reality.
I'm glad they are taking it seriously. She's 2 months now; the idea of taking her into a store is terrifying. Not that I'll lose sight of her, but just stories I've read online, real or not, have cemented in the possibility of child abductions.
They did the same thing with my daughter when she was born. I didn't even think anything about it, but I am now really happy that they placed that bracelet on her.
Congratulations on the baby
Ohh congratulations on the baby. The doctors did the same thing. Also the first 3 months of thinking about going out is not an option is totally valid. Mine are still there 2 years later.
The one with the CPS worker scared me senseless. I believe it’s true (and I’m HEAVILY skeptical about these Reddit stories, I rarely believe them) and that’s horrifying. She was an inch away from her child being stolen.
The DCS story reminded me of my area 10 or 15 years ago. There were people going door to door selling home security systems. However, they had no connection to any company. They were just trying to see which houses didn't have alarms so they could break in. They came to my house before I knew. I thought it was legit so I told them I already had an alarm so I didn't have to go through some sales pitch. A little while later it was in the news.
That DCS case is insane. Crazy how well structured child trafficking operations are, horribly sickening
With all the information we have it could have been just as likely a crazy woman or couple.
Is there any evidence it was a long term operation?
@@thatfunkyduck their stepmother allegedly had it out for them, but the way it’s described sounds awfully professional
@@thatfunkyduck
Crazy? Really?
Same I wouldn't have expected that from this
It's far more likely it was an individual looking to take a child for themselves likely because they couldnt have one of their own for whatever reason.
The last one reminded me of a story I read on r/relationshipadvice where this woman was talking about how her husband and father-in-law were being strangely morbid about her upcoming birth and making funeral arrangements, talking to her like she was already dead, and making plans for the baby that didn't involve her. I'm not sure if it ever had an update, but so many of the comments said things like, "They're planning to kill you and you need to be careful." Genuinely terrifying.
Was the post deleted?
That’s terrifying. Do u have the link?
Omg I remember reading that too.....rly scary stuff. I think the husbands whole family was involved but I might be remembering that wrong
God I remember that... it was like a million red flags stapled together...
I remember that as well. The husband's mother died in child birth, so the husband and his dad were being REAL weird to her about her dying when having the baby. I hope she and her baby are ok and away from them.
revisiting this video, the last story reminds me of a story from a webinar i watched about supporting survivors of dv that also have mental illness. they told of one lady who had been a survivor who kept hearing voices. she ended up checking herself into the hospital, believing she was as crazy as her harm-doer had said. she asked a friend whole in the hospital to check something at the house, so the friend swung by. It was winter, and the house was chilly, so the friend went to turn up the thermostat. As she did, she heard voices, soft and barely understandable, the kind that makes you lean in to try to understand. It turns out that the harm-doer had managed to rig a speaker into the thermostat that when touched (and i think at random intervals) played those sounds just to continue to cause harm to the survivor. it is certainly frightening the lengths with which harm-doers will go to continue to inflict harm.
The last entry sounds a lot like the story of John Meehan. He set up cameras to spy on his wife (at least I think they were married) and she ended up finding them and then all hell broke loose. It's an absolutely bonkers story.
It's happening to me. And yes, all Hell is absolutely about to break loose.

I tend to believe that her husband was cheating on her too. When I was cheated on, my partner changed a lot.He started criticizing me for the simplest of things, he used to get upset a lot and much faster, and used my past behaviour against me:"you talked with a guy that means you cheated on me" or" You were away at the doctor but how can I be sure you weren't actually at a guy?", things like that.People that cheat want to project their guilt on their partner in order for them to"feel better"and"have a reason" for the fact that they cheated
that's exactly what I thought
This exactly! She even said that he would go on business trips, so he must have cheated on her during a trip.
I had a coworker whose husband would constantly contact her to see what she was doing. He would even call into our work (we were nurses in a hospital) asking whoever answered if she was still there. 'The internet is bad for you, don't ever go to it"
The mother in the second story:
"The internet saved your life"
If it _somehow_ did, it shouldn’t have. The conclusion a lot of ordinary couples quickly would arrive at wouldn’t really ever require several online people, aside from utilizing the Internet for germane information about that organization.

Abduction of newborns is so common, hospitals not only have an emergency code for it, but some will conduct training drills on what to do.
yeah but heres the question how would an imposter breach a hospital to were they are able to pull that off.
Can confirm, I work at a hospital and believe it or not it is extremely easy for someone determined enough to get past security measures. We do have baby Abduction code (pink) and it is terrifying
Seriously it's that common wtf.
@@toshiroyamada2443 yup we have posted guarding locations we all scramble to when it happens
@@vinceiopez3657 The main problem is twofold. First the nurse supervising the newborn nursery and transport of infants tends to be young, naïve and overworked. So she is very likely to just let anyone who had prepared a long well researched story in to seeing the baby and take it away. Secondly as pointed out, the majority of baby kidnappings are women, these are not violent thefts, this is social engineering and pathological lying so she walks out with everyone believing the baby is hers, everyone needs to be much more sceptical of women telling tall tales to commit crimes because it is really, really common. These babies who get kidnapped at hospitals have always had staff that just let it happen, lack of training, lack of protocol, even societal belief that women don't commit crimes, all of this feeds into the criminal's opportunity to strike.
I randomly got suggested your video. I can't stop binging these type of videos. They are really good.
man you make your videos sooo suspenseful and unnerving it's crazy, thanks alot for the effort u put in

Traffickers
@@JulietNerming Could be, but honestly, there are cases of people kidnapping toddlers purely because they themselves want one, and for one reason or another, simply can't have a kid themselves. You would be surprised how crazy people get over this stuff.
@@JesterPrince that is true. Super creepy how they knew how to target them though.
@@JulietNerming Yeah, it really is. Sadly modern day gives even more tools for that, it doesn't need but determination and a little bit of skill to throw yourself into a role, and different believes, etc. will carry it out from there. Surely some can be bolder, but yeah.
@@JesterPrince The way they drug tested the couple and examined their home makes me think it’s trafficking, there’s a lot of money involved and the drug test was probably a way of screening the couple.

The middle one sounds so horrifying because it could happen to so many poor families with a minor criminal record. I wish luck to all the families who've experienced something so terrifying like this.

Okay but this is my new favorite thing and I'm devastated there are only two videos in the series. XDD Any chance we could get more contact like this specifically from you? Both volumes were amazing.
The one about the Indiana lady and DCS hits real home for me, I too live in Indiana and had a similar situation but this lady claimed to be with the census bureau, she came by the house the first time and I thought she was fishy, then she showed up a second time and I asked for ID (which she provided) I took down her name and info. When she was leaving I told her never come back. I called the census people and said they never heard of her. I feel like this my be the same lady
I also saw that she was from Hamilton county, literally a 40 minute drive from here. I really wish I knew what she looked like and what car she drove
@@chickengenius4202 now I’m interested in finding out if that’s the same person talked about in the video, but I don’t really know how to do this investigative stuff...
Weird
wow thats so creepy
indiana gang lol.
The last two are actually extremely creepy. Imagine being a soon-to-be parent who come to know that their child was almost going to taken away from them.
It’s 100% not real because you can’t get a child taken away for past offenses. There are straight up murderers that have children after they get out. Also I’ve seen many a drug addict have children and not get them taken them away.
@@GarretRB I know it's not, that's what I meant
@@GarretRB Actually. CPS can. And if there is an open case, they can (With a court order) take away a newborn right out of the hospital.
CPS can do A LOT more then people think, they just don't. (Or "can't" according to them.)
It depends on the state
@@theboulder765 That also should be taken into account, yes.
“Hopefully things were ok.” *loud bell* When I tell you my heart DROPPED
Need a Vol.3 in my life! These videos are captivating!
shocking the lengths people go to abducted a child, just the thought of abducting a child is sickening to me
Even more shocking is how much these people make out of abducting a child
Right? I seriously don’t understand their mindset. Whether they’re just sick in the head or only do it for the money, it’s all fucked up in the end. It sucks that things like this exist
@@NotaSimulacrum even the people who do the abducting gets paid
@@shiroizunami9625 I know it's disgusting
@@NotaSimulacrum It's for the money. Unfortunately, people pay MASSIVE sums of money (think easily $10,000) and that makes it worthwhile for the abductors. You're still right about them being sick in the head though, clearly you'd have to be to do that to someone, especially an infant. Even in other illegal routes, there's much more morally just "businesses" than child trafficking.
Ohioian here... I'm more than likely wrong but that third picture looks a lot like the university courtyard apartments for Youngstown state university.
Hmmm, you may be onto something. Those are down the hill from Bliss hall. There is a grassy knoll across from them.
Checking out the reddit thread, someone cleaned up the images and there appears to be an awning near the entrance of the white building. This disproves the courtyard apartments as the awning near the entrance is small.

the editing in your videos is IMMACULATE. i can tell how much effort you or your editor put into it and i wish more people would appreciate it!
The kidnapping story would be really hard from the hospital. The delivery ward is super closed off from the public for this kind of reason.
Most likely they would have made it home fine and then the person would “show up to follow up on the case”
Regarding the fake social worker: Always, always check the credentials of any person who asks you for information of any kind, and don't allow anyone into your home until you have verified their identity and authority to be there. For every legitimate person seeking access to your life, there are a dozen con artists. I wish I were exaggerating.
In school we were taught we must call the company for every person to show up st our door, no matter how specific the person coming in is, to have multiple people in the room with them and to not leave the stranger unattended. We had an exercise where we pretended to call our provider for something in the kitchen, and a man claiming to be from the company would show up half an hour later. We said sure let him in, because why would he know, but the people immediately shut us down with the red flags. The actor had no ID and may be slightly lesser in what youd expect from one of those types of jobs. That stuck with me, I hate unannounced legal visits especially when there's no uniform. Social obligation to let someone into your home when it's heavily raining or in the negative degrees is really pressuring, but what calms me is that I should be just another face they cant identify from a crowd.
Things are about to get a lot less Wholesome 100 in here...

That last story is sad no matter if he’s spying or not because either way it could so easily ruin the marriage. Even if he’s innocent they now have reason not to trust each other.
Highly doubt he's innocent, the way he hurried to the house as soon as she started snooping around is enough to confirm he somehow knows her every move.
@@wa4645 Maybe I think you are right, but we only have her side of the story, and that means we have to keep an open mind.
We also have to take the word of the OP that they've had no issues with the relationship or fidelity. Its not uncommon for guilty feeling parties to try to find support wherever or however they can get it. Not that anything really excuses the prospect of that kind of surveillance though.
at the beginning she said "I've confirmed these trips, yes, they are legitimate"

I really hope this series returns I really liked it,
The fact that the last woman never followed up might mean her husband found out about the reddit posts and was angry. Its obvious that he was watching her and its not too out of the realm of possibility to think that he has some kind of surveillance on her phone, or even suspected she might be suspicious and end up on online forums looking for advice. I usually choose to be optimistic and believe that the best possible outcome came out of this, or there was just a huge misunderstanding or her husband was spying on her to find a way to surprise her with something or anything like that but to be honest i dont think her story necessarily has a happy ending. Unless her account was a burner account that she only used to post about that relationship or other questions, I think something may have happened...
One of my thoughts was that if he's tech savvy enough to use covert recording devices or rig ordinary home devices to monitor, looking up her browsing history or passwords wouldn't be too difficult. Even just getting an email password would reveal a ton of information.
the account was called 'Losingmymind5' and was created very close to the time where the story was posted, leading me to believe that it was some form of throwaway account
The fact that she mentioned not being tech savvy means she probably wasn’t using anything to hide her browser history too 😬
but why is the account still there? wouldn't he have deleted it entirely? from the comments of the post, all her replies are still there in the open even if the actual post isn't.
@@goingunder2548 that would raise far too much suspicion like massive amounts

The husband that was watching his wife. definitely didnt have a camera in the house. It must have just been an audio capturing device since he was never sure exactly what she was doing but instead can only listen to what shes doing.
That might be true but I’m still convinced he might have cameras somewhere. The only reason he asks was to see if his wife would tell the truth or not. Makes it easier for him to justify his spying.
then why would he call right when she was looking around?
on audio it wouldn't have been possible to notice

@@allyli1718 I really don't believe that. She walks around every day while cleaning, searching for stuff or doing anything. And the one time she actually searches the more inconspicuous places he calls?
@@Lasagnaisprettycool Remember, she was "accidentally" knocking things over before picking them up to look at them. If anything that would be even more suspicious if you only had sound.
