Maybe it's because I'm an Indian classically trained percussionist on tabla, but I have zero problem keeping up with Polyphia's syncopation. I feel like advanced rhythmic knowledge is much less emphasized in the West than it is in the East, where keeping track of time is paramount for EVERYBODY, regardless of whether they're a singer, dancer, or instrumentalist.
@@spdcrzy You are correct. "Popular" music in the West almost always utilizes 4/4 with standard beats. It's refreshing to hear a different take on the time signature.
What a lucky guy you are! She doesn't seem like she regularly listen to music like this but she still had some really good takes for a first listen, impressive.
Hell Yeah! Just discovered you two, like yesterday maybe and it makes me so happy to see you pop up at the end of my work day so i can see Ash react to one of my favorite new bands. Rock on y’all 🤘🏼🎧🤟🏼 - and furthermore, Ash f’kn nailing it off the bat, pointing out them quintessential Polyphia harmonics. Imma say it again “Hell Yeah” - can’t wait to relive more of these lads with Ash & 🤞🏼 maybe Mr. Vai as well.
Came here to say this about her mailing the harmonics and dynamics of the guitar right off the bat. But yet again @papacarl2002 coming in with the heat!
@@tyrantmind yeah…I guess not? Haha…I have a teenage daughter and that’s her favorite. It’s also probably farthest from a typical Polyphia song, if such a thing even exists.
First time watching any of your videos, the joy on her face while watching was priceless! Also, is she a software developer? Just the casual dropping of polymorphism...
Aaah yea some good math rock, Polyphia is brilliant. You guys need to do Playing God as well, I know Dave did it solo but you should do a Couple React one.
You should also react to Animals as Leaders, some of my favorites from them is “Red Miso” and “An Infinite Regression”. They have heavier songs than those I mentioned💙
This entire song is in 4/4 time. But all of the instruments keep hitting counts on off-beats, making it sounds like a weird time signature.

It took me half a year to learn the main riff 🤯
Very good point about making guitar cool again.
Tim is the main writer and is the most inventive as a guitar player which is why he gets most of the love.
This is without a doubt my favorite first reaction to Polyphia.
❤ Would love to see more polyphia reactions 😁
Goose would be a good one to react to next 👍 Love me some POLYPHIA 👍
It's called a "flutter" when you pull and release the trem bar.
Какое хорошее видео вы выложили! Спасибо.
Девушка хорошо разбирается в приёмах игры на бас гитаре, она большой молодец.
Спасибо за ваш канал.

Playing god unplugged Tim and Clays drums will blow her mind.
clay Gober
scOtt lepage
clay Aeschliman
Tim henson
Their names spells out G.O.A.T.
You guys look great together.
She’s going to enjoy the rest of the Polyphia rabbit hole. What to play next? Maybe ABC just to mess with her?
Please not that!
ABC is their magnum opus. It's a bit too dense to just be jumped into straight away.
Hell ya ABC would be fun. Am I missing something though other comments don't seem to like that song? 😅

@@jeffwilson3205 True! Probably just so different from their usual stuff. And too Pop for most Polyphia fans?

The only lady I've seen pick up that riff in 6:47
She even hit the stank face....
That was straight up nasty!
She's great
