How safe are hot air balloon rides in Egypt? 🇪🇬

- Today, I experienced something new and exciting - I went on a hot air balloon ride! Now I've done skydiving and bungee jumping before, but those experiences were over in a matter of seconds. If you've seen my video of me crossing the Hussaini Suspension Bridge in Pakistan, you'll know that I'm not a big fan of heights. However, this hot air balloon ride was a birthday present from my incredible girlfriend and amazing friends back in Sydney, so I couldn't chicken out of it.
During the ride, I discovered that there are three types of balloon landings: the American way, the British way, and the Egyptian way. We of course went with the Egyptian style landing... which would you think is the safest?
The day turned out to be quite long, starting with a 3AM wake-up call for the sunrise hot air balloon ride. Afterwards, I had the entire day to visit Luxor Temple and Karnak, which were absolutely stunning sites. Among them, my personal favourite was finally getting to see the mysterious statue of Sekhmet. Let's hope the curse that apparently comes with it doesn't affect me in any way!
Overall, it was an unforgettable day filled with new experiences and incredible sights.
