@Yuspliff I just bought a samsung NU407100 HDR/UHD tv and I have a first gen PS4. When I play fifa 19 with the TV, the picture quality of the TV is bad. Any ideas how to make the quality better becos I have tried several settings and it still looks crap. Is it that my PS4 can't handle the UHD tv? Do i need to buy PS4 pro to go with the TV so I can get good picture quality for games?
It makes perfect sense, because it tells you what you will get for the extra money; or, what you have to pay for the next best thing. A proper cost vs reward analysis is helpful in every decision.
Just commenting after a week of use. Has really good picture and it's very "natural". Sound isn't that good but I'm only using the TV speakers watching Hulu or something

Thanks for the review. Got the NU7100 recently and not in the least happy with it. Far too reflective, not bright enough with some content, and honestly I haven't yet seen the deep black that you mention. But otherwise, your review is spot on for me, sadly stuck with this TV for now.
Likewise, I’m having major ghosting issues with mine too. The image is trailing all over the place. 300 nits is noticeably dim and HDR content often looks washed out or crushed. Shame.
Just got this TV in a 65" for $599 Costco Sale and I love it a better upgrade from our Mitsubishi 1080P tv from 2007 so after 12 years this is huge upgrade for us.

For 640 (Canadian $) plus applicable taxes, I got this tv yesterday and it gets the job done with little to no compromises. If you're on a budget and need an upgrade this will not disappoint. If you have the money you can definitely look at nu8k series
Hi all. Turn the ambient light detection off if you want it brighter without switching to dynamic picture. You can turn the backlight up all day and the ambient light detection will fight you all the way :(

Hey, Love the videos! So helpful! I was wondering if the RU 7400 is any better than the NU7100. I'm looking for a 55" or 65" tv used mainly in a dark room so needs good a good black level.
I did the same thing with the tcl r615. I rate the motion handling of the NU7100 better than what they did actually. It’s amazing. But the tcl r615 was a good bit better during still shots in color and detail but I couldn’t handle the dirty screen effect anymore during motion. The color isn’t very good though for hdr so I’d save for the nu8000.
the hdr is better than I gave credit for on movie mode, warm 1 color, 0 sharpness, motion set to auto, and dynamic contrast or whatever its called turned off
I set out to get the Vizio E Series or the TCL s515, but after going to Best Buy and looking at all of the models. The Nu7100 just looked the best to my eyes. The detail was more crisp and the colors seemed better to me. I'm not sure what they have the TVs settings at, but the Vizio looked sort of blury as well as the TCL.
So you suugest me to get the samsung nu7100 rather the tcl The probleme is that here in morocco the 55 inch nu7100 sells for 849$ and the tcl 6 series are not currently in the market

@Rtings hello. I watched two of your videos last night because I bought a Bluetooth Samsung sound bar S40t. To connect to my NU7100 but had issues since minute one. My tv didn’t show BT so I saw your mute 182 power video to turn it on. To get my speaker list out. But my tv won’t find my sound bar I tried many ways but nothing helps. Please I need more of your knowledge I even went to the connection guide but turn on the sound bar Bluetooth on but I only get a close button and not a “set up now” button please need you help. I noticed that on Samsung’s website the NU7100 says that it has UHD dimming. Isn’t that local dimming? If so is the dimming good? And would it make the HDR better in this case? I live in Canada so the 4K TCL isn’t an option. But at this price range is this as good as HDR and 4K gets for gaming?
For this price point this is good. You might find other option that trade certain features for others like IPS for better viewing angles but loses contract, for an example.
hate to say it but you should have reviewed the NU7400, it's barely more expensive, but has better color gamut, satellite tuners and supposedly better contrast, although slightly dimmer ?

I have one in my living room but my 2016 49” lg has a green line so thats gonna go to the guest room, the 7100 55” to my bedroom, and I do want a P series from Vizio in my living room. I had a tcl r617 with bad uniformity issues. And I have seen q8 q9 and x900f at best buy. I saw the P series demo. So I know what good HDR looks like. But this TV impresses me nonetheless. It is not perfect, and I wish it could be a tad brighter and better motion. Thats it. Even the black leves are good, and the brightness and color are definitely decent. I have to say the white point calibration/picture settings on Rtings really helped it shine.
Is there anyway to control the sound of a Samsung soundbar with this TV's remote? Apparently a Samsung soundbar's volume can only be controlled by the Samsung TV if said tv has Bluetooth support which this tv does not.

it's not that bad. they just have really high standards. in their tests, anything above 6 is good. 10 is best-in-the-market, but doesn't mean 6 is bad.

I'm really unhappy with the viewing angle range on this tv. It's really limited. On a three person couch, moving from one side to other dramatically changes the picture - too much if you ask me. I did try a TCL and got one with very poor uniformity, I wasn't willing to try another one.

omesanni that’s true , in fifa Picture looks so garbage but if you try another games you will change your mind .
How does it make sense to compare a higher end model to a lower end model? The NU7100 is like $800 the 8000 is like $1700

Took P6 series back to Best Buy cause of banding 2 weeks after purchase. Brought home NU7100 55in no problems at all.
I did the same thing with the tcl r615. I rate the motion handling of the NU7100 better than what they did actually. It’s amazing. But the tcl r615 was a good bit better during still shots in color and detail but I couldn’t handle the dirty screen effect anymore during motion.
