I did a full blackout window tint, no sun or visibly and thats ok, i work nights and am on the second floor apartment. So i wanted to block heat and light.
I did my own window tint with Lowe’s platinum tint and my house got a lot cooler o don’t feel the heat like before . How can I tell I had changes inside my house simple I don’t open my windows at home or use the a.c because my a.c don’t work -and my window screen are all broken because of my dogs so it was really hot inside so I tinted the windows and it is much cooler during summer
Wish this for was placed on a window when measured , not just a swatch of film , I wanted to see if it’s facing the sun all day , is the efficiency still there
My window has screens covering the windows on the outside, if I have reflective window film added to the windows that already have traditional window screens how will the screens affect the overall performance of the reflective window film?
The complete reflective tint can become an HOA violation. It's best used for a commercial business environment. The ceramic elite pro is a great option for residential use.
The problem with tint as i have seen this on my home is this... if u have a window at one end and aother window on the opposite side then u can see inside the house dueing the day from outside.. unsure why this is.. maybe i have cheap film
Hey very good information thanks. By the way what’s the brand of the reflective film that you are holding in this video or can you add a link to it please??
Very good video. I was perusing a ceramic tint . However your meter has showed me that I need to do more research on this purchase. Question do the mirrored tints come in darker shades? My home is gray white brick, black roof and gutters and I just can't see mirrored windows. But I want the value of the mirrored tint that your video has shown and the complamenting color that works with my home.
This my sound crazy but... I have 3 skylights that let in a terrible amount of summer heat (Connecticut) and looses a too much in the winter. One is on the East side of the roof and the others on the west side. Can I install the ceramic only on the inside and the ceramic/reflective on the outsides. I want to keep the heat in in winter and heat out in summer.
I live in a crowded area. Window film is amazing because I have annoying neighbors who keep coming outside every twenty minutes every single day even holidays. They're just something strange about that. Usually when I'm on the porch sitting down I notice that. Pattern.
It definitely will reduce the heat factor because that tint won’t allow as much heat or sunlight heating the home from the inside. I just moved and gonna throw reflective tint on the windows because I can feel the heat that’s coming in
Your video is not alone when talking about BTUs. I might suggest talking in temperature since you are talking to the public, and for myself, I’d rather hear temperature differences. Thank you.
I’ve had reflective film installed on one of my front windows before to match my front door but removed it because it was hard to see outside at night, the mirror effect flipped. Do they all do this or was it just cheap film? Also the front door has the mirror effect but without film, it’s like the effect is made into the glass and I dont have this problem. I need answers please.
Whatever side of the film the light is coming from, you can see through from the other side. So, you can see out from inside during the day, but you can see in from outside at night during the time your inside lights are on. So close the blinds or drapes in the evening or have outdoor spotlights aimed up at your windows from below at night.
Good information, though you should have mentioned thermal cracking possibility from incorrect film fitments for some types of glass & to use a professional installer that can identify your glass type & recommend the correct film.
I’m really curious about this. See, I live in Montréal, which is very cold in the winter and we don’t have much sun. But the summer is pretty hot and very sunny. I would love to know if there is a film that’d be easily removed and put back on the window. Preferably outside the window. If you’ve got any information, please share! Thanks
it doesnt really work to reduce heat... this guy clearly has no idea of what is happening.... ur window heats up by induction... your experiment proves that it works as a radiant barrier.
Don't ever watch an "is X worth it" video from a company that sells X
You just did. smh
There are several other channels that show the advantages of ceramic tint...but yeah it's totally snake oil 🙄
Watch out for the milky haze from ceramic tints!
Sage advice
@@jeanious2009I've had ceramic tint on my windows for five years living in Arizona and never had any visible issues with it.

Thanks so much. Just bought a home here in Garland, TX and this really helped me to decide which to get!
My window has screens covering the windows on the outside, if I have reflective window film added to the windows that already have traditional window screens how will the screens affect the overall performance of the reflective window film?
Can this be installed on residential double-pane windows?
Hi, is this good for single pane windows to keep a home warm during the winter and cool during the summer?
The complete reflective tint can become an HOA violation. It's best used for a commercial business environment. The ceramic elite pro is a great option for residential use.
HOA's are garbage. No one should ever abide by a HOA.
Is it renter friendly?
OK, I'm sitting. What's the price?
Best to put it on the outside??
Is it ok to fit reflective film on already tinted reflective glasses

What happens in the winter. Does that mean the inside of the house will be cooler because the film will be blocking the suns heat?

what is the difference between the film that goes on the inside than the outside and which one is the best
What film would be used to prevent seeing into a building?
The measurement was made with direct sunlight, not all windows, face, the southside or sunshine. How affected is it otherwise

Excellent video, thanks!
I need the name of the tint
Reflective film looks impressive, but how much does it actually reduce heat factor in the room?

Helpful. Thanks!
Do you place the film out the outside of the house windows?

Hey man what's that tool called that you measure the solar transmission with?
*Can I install this outside of the window?*
You are in Texas, any other state you have business, like Pennsylvannia?
Sir, can you provide the online link for buying those reflective films?

They say life time Warrenty but that only applys if the company will come back to do the work and not make excuses
Do birds fly into the windows with either film?
What about at night when it's dark outside and you have the lights on? I don't want people to see in. I want to see out during the day.
Use the reflective upstairs only. Use the clear ceramic downstairs

Is it good to put on car's windows?
There are special ceramic car tints! Totally worth it

hmmm.. Joe@dark shade window tint? I wonder what he sell for business? is that slightly conflict of interest?
Thanks for the info
Solar shades work 1000 percent better than film

Window film will help retain the heat in your house. It's good for both winter and summer. You save on electricity bills in both seasons.
@@miguelc9272 it doesn’t retain heat. Thats bullshit
I have transitional films if anyones intetested
these films should only be put outside, not inside
The reflection mirror tint is not good for environment. Because it makes outdoor hotter
🤣😂🤣😅🤣😂
Too much energy bro!
Great video... only, go pee before you film your intro~
