    This is exactly what I wanted to know. All preset tones, right out of the box, stock.. I don't need complete polished hi res demo tracks to hear freaking presets. twenty or so of which are pretty great, 6 of which are passable and 70 or so I can totally do without, but I wanted to hear them! Thanks!

      I thought it as thoughtfulness as I’m sure manny patches where created with different guitars and he likely tried to a degree to find the best guitar for his favorite tones since he’s a thoughtful guy,.. usually ,.. or something like that. You do hopefully know that manny guitars where used to program this digital beast after all,.. I thought you got great tones,.. especially through headphones which I believe means something. I personally believe that’s how it should be done to have a proper demo.

    • @djbmanifestomode
      @djbmanifestomode 4 года назад

      You know bro it would be neat if you can demo this or even better with a GT-200 & with some tube pedals in front of it with different settings and then just play with the volume before my amp gets here in like 4 days. lol 9/19/2020. For the purpose of doing it before I do and for fun, but mainly to see if it can sound just like a tube amp!? Oh and regarding the negative criticism,.. or opinions,.. it’s a well known fact that certain guitars sound better through certain amps and pickups ext. regardless of perspective, it’s a reality for us all but there is a general perspective of that idea of fact.

    Excellent demo. Really enjoy your videos. I actually ended up buying a GT40, and I'm VERY happy with it. You've got it well miked, but it really is much better in person. Everybody has their preferences, and there are lots of trolls out there who've jumped on the bandwagon to bash this amp, but for those of you interested out there, go play one in person and check it our for yourself. You can customize the presets endlessly, and I have found that you can get virtually ANY kind of tone out of it that you want. If I had to buy it over, I would.

      Yep, got one too. I really don't understand all the hate this amp getting. It's a solid state, 40 watt practice amp, not a stage rig. I bought this specifically because my main amp is just way too loud to play at home.
      It does sound significantly better in person... but it makes me laugh when people just the sound quality of anything from a youtube video played back over crappy laptop speakers.

      Hi, I'm debating between the Fender Champion 40 versus this thing - is there any downside to a modelling amp? E.g. are they "fakes" of "real" amps? Sorry I am a newbie :-)

    I think people need to stop beating on you about x y z and realise what you've done is show them the breadth of all tones programmed in with appropriate guitars and varied playing style. Nowhere else is that going to happen. They should teach about hindsight bias in schools. If you'd miked it up with God's telephone inside the arc and George Martin had breathed on the faders people would say "show with different guitars or a different preset". Keep doing your best you dude.
