- Here's a fun little story from a less known writer. A harrowing tale of a traveler who runs out of gas in the wrong place.

I enjoy the extra atmosphere provided by good choice of music.
Entertaining at the end of the day.
Thank you, sir.
Lovely reading as always, what a delight. Unprepossessing man, I think you meant. Especially if one has no eyes. Phew.
Great story, good thing he had been so determined to have a bath before bed!🤣
I like the pictures that accompany your stories. Good choice of stories too.
An AHA! after 4:40 to say, I've been to Whitehaven! Enjoying the channel, thank you. Hi, from SanFrancisco Bay Area.
Hello! Thank you for listening! I'm glad you're enjoying the stories. Thanks for your kind comments; I enjoy hearing what people think of the stories.
Horribly creepy! Great library image. I like the changes you've made. Looking good!
Thank you, I'm glad you like it!
New sub from Cornwall UK. Really enjoying your 'delivery', quite different from usual ghost/scary story narrators & all the better for that. Cheers!
Thanks for subscribing! Glad you like the stories!
I read this story when I was thirteen. As an adult, it still frightens me.
Good creepy story❤
It's 4:28am as I listen to this...oddly enough🕟🙄
Thanks enjoyed your video x
Thankyou
I'm not pointing fingers at anyone, but I think that situation was a little out of hand. I enjoyed the story, and will be coming back for more.
lol

This was published in 1932 apparently ? Preston was not very prolific - only 4 or 5 stories that I know of. I found this
a bit too pulpy and unsubtle I'm afraid ? Well read of course but lacks that indefinable something that distinguishes the
classic horror from the run of the mill . ( only my opinion
of course..)
Any information on the writer?
Ay mate! Say Keswick again. 😄
Did I pronounce that wrong?!😅
@@WindyNightStories yep! Americans often struggle with British names. 😄 It's pronounced KEZIK. 👍😊
👍
Well he is a better man than I am a woman no way would I want a cold bath in a dirty bath tup
The sound effects are a little bit too loud; they overpower your voice and take me right out of the story because I'm struggling to hear you. They sound like cheesy horror movie music.
