Bwhaaaaat? An E.F. Benson story i have not yet heard? Yes, please. Thank you for your narration. 😻 BTW, i am not a church-goer, but am nominally a follower of the Koran, which holds the same views regarding "spirit" communication, except the communication is not supposed to be with 'demons', but with the Djinn, who have telepathic and hypnotic powers, and, like people, can be both good and evil, as they have free will. Very nice story. E.F. Benson can be almost always counted on to provide an interesting and intelligent story.
Warm bed by the window, strong coffee, cat attempting to climb into the Xmas box, clear conscience ( at least so fair)WINDY NIGHT STORIES, 🐾🥰🧡💜💚🌓, THANK YOU
Man, there's some great material chosen for reading on this channel but I can't get past a few sentences with this vocal inflection. I keep expecting to hear, "This is Chris Hansen with Dateline NBC. What are you doing here?"
Do you misunderstand the word martyr? A martyr is someone who does UNWILLINGLY. I also don't understand why you 'thumbs down' a story for one line one character says.
@extracurricularkitty3605 Hate to be that guy, but a martyr dies for their beliefs, not necessarily "UNWILLINGLY" though one could argue that is the case, yet, seeing as how they are faced with death or at least publicly renouncing their beliefs, they die in defiance of death.
Thank you Windy, another great tale!
Fascinating tale, beautifully narrated and hitherto unread by me. The sort of
story that continues in the mind after it's over. As always, my thanks!
I know I can always count on a Windy nights story for the weekend.
Excellent
Warm fire, glass of wine, chocolate and a Windy night story how wonderful
What about a meerschaum pipe packed with some shag tobacco??? A Lady's meerschaum, I hasten to add

"Sacred expiation of martyrdom..." for an innocent person executed. 👎🏾👎🏾
