    This video is a bit of a change of pace and topic but if you followed us through our 5 month Vanlife SUP Safari in Scotland you'll know how much we love travelling and paddleboarding. In this episode we start researching an Australian equivalent of Harmony our Talbot camper van - Harmony 2.0! We've come to the conclusion that a camper truck will fit the bill enabling us to go 4x4ing and camping and start looking at the options for purchasing a ready made camper versus building our own.
    The businesses we visited in this video are;

    The adventure starts with gathering the means to travel. What a nice thing to research together. I loved the first one right away. If it wasn't for the current world situation, we would have done exactly this research 2 years ago as Australia was our starting point for our world trip. Still on our list to drive through and around the country in one of those adventure vehicles. You got quite an adventure ahead of you, enjoy the planning and pre-excitement. Nice side touring and info along the way, too bad about the wind though as you couldn’t do your SUP. 🏄‍♀️😊

      Thanks!! Yes it is certainly a big project but what awesome adventures can be had in one of these 🚛 🌏 we liked the first one too but it will take longer financially and we like the idea of the build project. Thanks for watching 😊

    Those according seals everyone uses for the cab pass through because they are easy to do hugely increase noise when driving

      That’s a good point that I’m sure people don’t think about. Thanks for the tip!

    Can I ask what the prices were for the first two expedition vehicles ( the AAV and the SLRV respectively)?

      I think the AAV was around the 250K and SLR was about 100K more again but that could have changed since. Pretty cool trucks both of them. I was really surprised at how spacious the AAV felt inside. Have you checked out any others? Always interesting to see what’s on the market.

      @@supchick5757 Thank you so much for responding! Yes, I've seen other overlanding vehicles, even ones from ATW (All Terain Warriors). The AAV and SLRV were the only two to pique my interest. The prices are not too bad also. Does the AAV come with a small washing machine like the SLRV?

      I can’t remember a washing machine being part of the package but I wouldn’t be surprised if you could get it as an add on - but I honestly can’t remember. I don’t believe the model we looked at had one and I can’t remember seeing a spot specifically for one but I think customising these trucks is pretty common. There’s a RUclips channel called ‘Follow the Fuso’ that has an AAV they might be worth contacting as I think they’ve had theirs a year or so now and would have some great insights into what living in the truck is like 😊
