He uploaded his last Fifty objective just 24 hours before this video (which he also completed earlier), but make sure you go preach to him as well. We are well aware of the current events and consequences of being reckless in the mountains. Which is why we aren't traveling to all parts right now and keeping our local adventures conservative. @@cnuila It's good to hear that you are keeping it more local and conservative. If it was late February or early March then you all were perfectly fine doing this. My comment was filled with misplaced anger because I was sitting in isolation with COVID 19, which was brought into my community by tourists that were traveling irresponsibly from places that were infected. I do want to respond to your comment about Cody Townsend. I watched his Fifty video that he had uploaded, and he was very careful with communicating the date that he completed the objective because he is aware of his influence and does not want to indirectly encourage people to travel/push themselves during this time. This video did not mention the date once. Not in text on screen, not verbally, and not even in the description of the video. Why would I go try to preach to Cody Townsend about recklessness and his influence when he understands his influence? I do think that you guys have some influence on the outlook and potentially the behavior of the people who watch your videos and I hope you all use it more carefully in the future. All it would have taken was putting the date somewhere in the video, maybe right under the "16 miles east of Alamosa" subtitle at the beginning of the video. Additionally, I won't apologize about caring about my own community and similar communities that could be affected by travel and recklessness right now, and I think that your use of the buzzword "virtue signaling" was misplaced since I had nothing to gain from my comment. If I had shared the video on Facebook with a similar sentiment in order to gain recognition or praise from friends/family, then that would be virtue signaling. This might be just a personal pet peeve of mine, but many use the phrase "virtue signaling" in an attempt to invalidate perfectly relevant critique. @@RyanM-ke2gu the elevation at the beginning of Lake Como Road is just below 7800 feet. I got to about 8000 feet in a low clearance Honda Civic Hybrid. Ive done blanca 3 times, watch out for the family of bears on top! theyve stolen my chow twice. Also where the treeline starts (or ends, depending) around there, to the left of the main trail/road, there is a hand built fireplace made of stone. It is a wonderful camping spot. Highly recommended.
Danny - what line of work are you in? You briefly mentioned once that you're in a seasonal job. Just curious how you afford the time to do this. It's inspiring and fun to watch your group of friends conquer mountain after mountain!
Seems like one of the more rugged peaks you guys have topped. UNTIL YOU GUYS... I've always looked with scorn on all the prep boy "mountaineers", especially since they seem to have every requisite, stereotypical, and neon colored gimick and doo-dad... but you guys are so hilarious and sarcastic I cant hate. The miles you dudes (Danny) can cover in 12 hours is legit = RESPECT. That grand canyon solo run vid was the one though.
Lake Como Road is where stock four wheel drive vehicles get destroyed. I'm guessing Jaws 1 and 2 must have been buried by snow when you walked past them, otherwise you would have pointed them out in the video. If you are there in the summer, something more your style would be the Little Bear to Blanca traverse, although you could throw in Ellingwood Point too, for a maximum sufferfest that you guys specialize in.
Great boot, much better than the TLT7. The liner was too minimal for me, and I ended up swapping it for a Palau Tour Lite EVO. I thought they were going to replace my Fischer Travers Carbons, but then the Scarpa F1 LT was announced and I had to try them out. The Scarpas fit my foot much better, are lighter, and I feel like they ski just a bit better, so they are staying and the TLT8 got sold. I’d say that between the Fischer Travers Carbon, TLT8 Carbonio, and F1 LT, you just pick the one that fits your foot shape the best, as they are all at the top of the “light” touring category.
Christof is my spirit animal.

Loved the video. Btw does anyone know the brand/model of shades Christof is wearing at 11:35. Thanks
I can't believe you guys climbed Blanca in ski boots then skied down that rocky mountain. What the hell were you guys thinking? It was fun watching, though. :-)
Such a great video, as always. Kids are inspired to do what you do. But where is Blake in all this? Tell me we haven’t seen the last of The Blizz!
Anyone know what the song is at the 2:20 mark?
you guys are peekers !!
That snow on the way down looked pretty nasty. Really icy. Mountain made you guys work for the summit.
Man, I'd love to be doing this stuff right now.
Danny - what line of work are you in? You briefly mentioned once that you're in a seasonal job. Just curious how you afford the time to do this. It's inspiring and fun to watch your group of friends conquer mountain after mountain!
I am now starting the third watching of all these videos again...more MA!
I didn’t hear a date of when this was filmed
You all should do Electric Peak in Yellowstone as a (long) day hike. You would like the last 300 feet.
Thinking about post adventure food usually motivates ya through it 😂 Good work guys
Love your videos! What are your favorite trail running shoes brands?
Seems like one of the more rugged peaks you guys have topped. UNTIL YOU GUYS... I've always looked with scorn on all the prep boy "mountaineers", especially since they seem to have every requisite, stereotypical, and neon colored gimick and doo-dad... but you guys are so hilarious and sarcastic I cant hate. The miles you dudes (Danny) can cover in 12 hours is legit = RESPECT. That grand canyon solo run vid was the one though.
Serious question, why not walk the first 2 miles in your trail shoes and change into your boots at the snow?
because they wouldn't be mediocre at all lol
We hiked Blanca at the end of September 2020. That white Jeep was still there lol.
Wonderful quarantine viewing. #Notificationsquad
I think you went by my wedding ring up there near the saddle somewhere. Didn’t realize it was gone until I nearly to the car. 🤷🏼♂️
Christof How do you like the TLT8? Thinking of getting some
Great boot, much better than the TLT7.
Thanks Guys. Prediction. This series is going to BLOW UP. In a good way...Are you going to bring back the Mormon Mullet? A great Utah tradition
