- Today we're taking a blast to the past, as I tackle a 15-minute race against time! It's been an incredible 25 years since The Naked Chef first aired on TV, so I'm looking back to celebrate some classic recipes from my cookbook Jamie's 15 Minute Meals.
Sizzling beef steak, with hoisin prawn and noodle bowls... such a tasty dish, it almost sounds too good to be true to whip up in 15 minutes! Can I do it?... Only one way to find out!

I will always remember 10-20yrs ago Jamie’s tip to use the rested steak juices on the plate to mix in a bit of good olive oil and squeeze of lemon to make a simple glaze.. I still do that till do today
to me, the part where Jamie says 'i dont care' is so impactful. Loads of people are obsessed with 'the right way' or 'the formula' when it comes to something creative- and Jamie just throws this big shield, this humble and great tactic- this massive secret to life out in the open. Really got to me.

I still use this book for my day to day meals, it's just full of bangers. This is definitely on of them! For me, the best home cooking book of all time.
I've got the book but still watch the tv show for inspiration. More importantly, I've adopted the 15-min principles (boiled kettle etc) without thinking about it. Thanks Jamie.

It was 30 minute meals that got me into Jamie Oliver. Then 15 minute meals came along and I was properly hooked. Cooking was finally accessible to me and I felt I could actually follow the recipes and improve my repertoire of meals 🙌

Unpretentious, "happy days", Jamie cooks with joy like no other chef. I bought this book 25 years ago in London thinking arrogantly that I could do better with such simple dishes. I realised that I was missing the most important ingredient of all - love what you cook.

@@gypsumfantastic Not saying he should, just that some people feel like if he embraced the joke and collaborated with him, he would probably have a whole new generation of fans, and from a purely business standpoint, it makes sense. Maybe he doesn't really care about that though, and that's fair enough. But those videos definitely have done some damage to his reputation.
I think Jamie worked and work really hard,yes he had some falliers but always go foward,,and I know he is not a ,,SHEF,, I still loved hom from the first day I saw his show😊❤ so who dosen't like him well,,,,,🤷♀️

I might do a 5 minute meal book. Bacon sandwich, cornflakes with milk on, toast, boiled egg, cheese on crackers, beer and crisps.
Mostly stuff my wife can't make.
Might call it Can't Cook Have To Cook. 5 minute meals.

There is no show like 1- Jamie's 30-minute meals and then 2-Jamie's 15-minute meals. I did my best to find all of these 2 series episode online, it doesn't exist, regrettably.

15 Minute Meals is one of the books I am missing from my Jamie collection, got to remedy that. I just got 5 Ingredient Mediterranean. Have to say it isn’t as useful as the older books I am finding but still loved the photos and some of the ideas, I will use. Not as many dishes I will make from it.
Wondering about that set you are on. It isn’t the original one. You should have used the original apartment or set that was used in the original Naked Chef show, would’ve loved to see it in the 25 year videos.
