Quick tip for installing rock lights... Nutserts/rivnuts. Makes installing them so much easier and you have more places to install them. That's what I did with my 2000 XJ, 1/4-20 nutserts with 1/4-20 bolts. I'm wishing I used them more over the years because it makes mounting things so much easier.
ok, how did you predict I was going to recommend the exact same thing to him!!! I totally agree. no need for a nut on the other side. You can easily remove things attached to nutserts for maintenance or replacement. No brainier!
I like the ones that change color because it looks awesome when snow wheeling. Plus some colors don't blind you in snow if you get stuck. But I totally understand why someone would only want white.
Nice rock lights.WELL thought out placement and swag install. You made a great improvement on your rig for ALL the reasons you mention. Thanks... suggestion....use a better or different recording device with a gimble or a least better, deeply adjustable image stabilization. Your great videos would then be even more informative and fun to follow and to watch and not so eye fatiguing and dizzying and makes my brain hurt = head and eye ache. Other than that, thanks for all you do and your great ideas! Light up the night....enjoy the new toyz.
I've thought int he past about putting on some under-veh lighting for the purpose of working at night being easier. I've had more than a few occasions where I had to make-fix in the dark. Twice it was transmission cooler lines that got torn up once by the serpentine belt disintegrating and another time, a stick or something got in there and ripped one. FWIW, the only Lighting related task you need to fix are some side-lights mounted up top so you can light up the area while you're picking a spot to camp.
I love your jeep man I love mine too can't wait to get my blown motor swapped. Parents had ,y jeep since it was new and passed it down to me mines a 98 XJ by the way
Seems like the fender well is not a good place because mud will cover them up. Better to install them where they shine at an angle outside of the fender well where mud is less apt to cover them up.
Nick. I would recommend a nutsert tool and tiny nutserts for those. You wont need a nut on the other side to get to and installation will be a lot easier. I used mine to mount my front seats with a custom front mount and 1/2 inch galvanized nutserts. Fits so good and strong! I will be mounting my visor with nutserts. This will allow me to remove it and put it back on to save fuel on longer highway trips. I would recommend stainless steel nutserts for any external facing installation. Thanks for the light video! I was thinking of getting green but you are right go with white, ooooorrr get 2 sets, white and green!! Does your link above to the lights get you any $$$ from any of our purchases?
@@NickInTimeFilms That sucks. I cant tell you what I have done on my XJ from your videos. i think it is time you got a JL Rubicon and start over again. :)
Haha. I have been slightly toying with the idea of picking up an AMC eagle and building a 4x4 street machine. Idk.... Turbo fuel injected jeep sedan/wagon could be fun
@@NickInTimeFilms I say, call Jeep tell them you made the Cherokee more famous than what it ever was and say just think what i can do foe the JL or the Gladiator! LOL I say you could build out a off road only rock crawling XJ monster of a machine instead of an old eagle. BTW I got my rear drive shaft in today! fit like a glove. I need to install the original front one but I am missing the mounting bolts and plates dunno where those went.
That's another great use for them, especially with how often my repair videos run into the wee hours of the night. But the main reason is to see rocks under your vehicle at night. Something like this comes to mind: ruclips.net/video/nXImNTTm6vY/видео.html
So I know its a free country, but shit box is derogatory term for our XJ's. Especially now that the demand for them now are so high and top dollar being paid for them. They should be called Awesome Boxes.
I don't even know what to do about it anymore. I already stripped the bottom and coated with both lizard skin coatings a couple years ago, and it's already eating through. I think I'd have to strip it all again, coat with an encapsulator like chassis saver, then apply lizard skin over that. armour will require some kind of stronger touch up paint

Did anyone bring up the fact that some of that wire your using says "speaker cable" on it? Someone did that in a truck I bought. It worked for a while but caught on fire one me one day. Not a good day for me...
I'm well aware. All the LED lights together barely pull 1A of current so it's more than sufficient for this job. It would be a different story if I was wiring up something high powered.
Hey buddy I have a question for you. I have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee sport with the 4.0. my head gasket blew so I had my head resurfaced and ground valves. it started up just fine and ran great for about an hour and now it keeps turning my spark plugs black with soot. No oil on them just soot. What could be the problem ?
You didn't show how you istalled it to the battery.....everyone is showing the wire installation but never show how to hook up the electrical to the battery!

Nice job man. I installed the LED Mercy 8 pack on my TJ just a few months ago. It really is a great value. Keep up the good work!
Hopefully a camera tripod company sponsors your next video.
There was a tripod at the end, hahaha.

Does any kind of rock lights work for any jeep
What headlights are those and would you recommend them. I have cheap headlights that you can't see but about 10 feet in front of you at night
I forget the name of them, but just search led on my channel and you should be able to find the install vid. I'm pretty happy with them.

Incomplete combustion.
So how do I fix that ?
If it overheated check for cracked head. Look into valve cover see if you have coolant accumulating. Also check connection to coilpacks.
Omg you can see everthing omg omg...
God forbid I show any kind of genuine emotion around here. It's nice to see 2 full days of work actual pay off.
Come do mine next.
Love the lights time for some ducting tape for that muffler though.
Yeah, that thing has seen better days, haha.
Stainless Steel Muffler needed.
Where are your upper control arms?
Robert Cooley He switched to a 3 link so his upper link is attached to passenger side upper mount only.
Close. It's on the driverside, more strength on the pumpkin. It's IROs Rock Link kit.
I bought the front 3 link and rear 4 link from IRO. looks so awesome!

Man that jeep is really crusty dude
Welcome to the rust belt. I coat this thing every year and it still eats through.
