    FAQ -
    Q: Will this fit my early model E30 with diving board bumpers?
    A: This kit CAN fit early model E30's but in order to install it properly, you would need to convert to late model plastic bumpers. This means you would need late model bumper shocks, late model front valence, and late model bumper crash bars.
    Q: What material are the bumpers made of?
    A: ABS Plastic
    Q: How is the fitment on these body kits?
    A: Our body kits have great fitment out of the box and require only minimal work to fit perfectly on your E30. The fitment shown in the video is the bumper straight out of the box with no body work done to it and as you can see, the body lines match OEM very well with little to no extra work.

    awesome series on installation, do you guys ship to Australia?

    To clarify. Would these panels need to be trimmed to fit an early model coupe? If so, which panel and how noticeable is it when trimmed and painted? I’m trying to decide what to do with my 84 diving board e30. Ideally I could find euro bumpers and do something period correct, possibly your mtech1 kit. Do you plan on eventually making an early model euro style bumper to sell? Seems like that would be a life saver for a lot of people.

    what modifications are needed to fit on the bigger convertible rocker panels?

    • @garagistic
      @garagistic  Год назад

      Currently, we have not attempted fitting these kits on an E30 and have not heard of any customers attempting to install it on their convertible E30 so we can't say if it can or cannot be modified to fit a convertible.

    Seems pretty straight forward. I see the screws hold the top of the door pod but how do you secure the bottom of the door piece?

    • @garagistic
      @garagistic  2 года назад

      We haven't had any issues using the supplied screws to mount the door pods using the factory clip holes as seen in the video but you can use a strip of automotive grade double sided tape to help secure the door pods. We like the brand 3M since it's very strong and a great option for these kinds of applications.

      @@garagistic The kit is polypropylene, no tape including 3M automotive stuff will stick to it long term - I know because I had a kit made by the same manufacturer you are using and this tape didn't last, even using the appropriate adhesion promoters. Just a heads up for these PP kit items - they are almost impossible to stick to.

      Interesting. I've had this kit in my shopping cart more than once ready to pull the trigger for both my E30's. Just need the shipping to be more attainable to us in Florida.

      @@orlandocampo2499 for the US it is ideal. However where OEM kits are available (EU) they are obviously better.

    Seems very susceptible to rusting to me

    • @garagistic

      There are only a few holes to drill and as long as you paint the holes so no metal is exposed on the body, then you should not need to worry about any rust 👍
