Shout out to Daniel and Indynxgen for doing the install it really helps the V8 breathe and the turbo sound is absolutely addicting. He gained 43hp and 48 torque and you can absolutely tell him if you have a BMW with the N63/N63TU V8 absolutely downpipes are worth the upgrade. Yes, there is a check engine light, but honestly does not bother me. The car did have a muffler bypass, and this just brings the noise to the next level.

bro, I have the same engine. You need to open the flaps on the exhaust to get the full effect. Yours sounds very mellow. Open the exhaust flaps and zip tie them open.

Below 2500RPMs it is not so bad but anywhere above that they’re definitely is a drone but it’s not super loud and annoying
Did you CEL LIGHT come on after instalation? Or did you flash it to erase light.
And how is reliability 7months after installing downpipes.
Yes, the check engine light is on and no I haven’t had it cleared (honestly because it doesn’t bother me) and reliability has been 1000% pristine not a single issue sounds great and really lets the turbos breathe can’t complain

Cause everyone is saying ill cut engines life span adding downpipes and that my stock turbos will blow up after some time

Im looking at a 650i with same engine… How is this engine?? Does it come with a lot of problems? Is it hard to work on??
It is not the easiest engine to work on reliability is definitely questionable, but I don’t want to scare you away from getting a BMW with the N63 engine it is a absolutely amazing engine when it’s running correctly and maintain well I recommend looking at 2014 above so that you can get the N63TU engine which is up upgraded for a liability and makes 40+ hp

Get a car with the n63tu or n63tu2 standard n63 was first in the lineup and has a lot of issues
@@jbason_01 I just got a 2011 550i a few weeks ago I love it but wish I did more research on n63’s I would’ve gotten a n63tu car or tu2 but at the time I kind of jumped the gun on purchasing this vehicle like I said I still love it just nervous because how unreliable everything says the pre tu engines are one thing I noticed is the pre tu engines burn more oil then the tu it still has whatever oil the dealer put in but my friend that has a n63 car recommend me switching to liqui Molly 5w-40

Bro in 2013 there wasn't yet a m550i so just call it 550i
if its a m sport, its a m550
literally the new bmw 550s are only M550, because they are a step down from the M5, every 550 is a m550, especially the M package with adaptive suspension.
