Read your manual on your heat gun, if I'm correct the reading basically does a cone shape shooting out from the gun. The Lazer is just for aim. The greater the distance the bigger the cone and the bigger area you're reading. With my understanding and the distance I perceived you were away from the object I'm thinking you might be reading some of the plastic. I have also seen where they have trouble with shiny surfaces

I have bought these downpipe after your video, then use it for two month and removed it 😅, i was facing an issue with exhaust leak, couldn't find from where, and the long fuel term wasn't reading correctly due to that!, unfortunately the v band size wasn't merging properly with the turbo, the the down pipe doesn't have any upper bracket to hold it, then I bought the Chinese HMD with 100 cell cat, which the fitment was perfect the car run way better than before and the smell and exhaust leak all gone. one small comment that the 100 cell is showing me in my diagnostic that the car sense poor efficiency cat, without check engine light.
how any why i went with HMD because no one did it and i felt i will be the first one, but i will take the risk then i say how the quality is and how heavy is the material is. soon you will see a video about it.

Yeaaaah so I have removed my turbos (going bigger) and figured the extra clearance would help. Issue I'm seeing now is that the mounting bracket on the downpipes don't have the clearance to actually clear the studs from the 11mm nuts. It would need to shift toward the rear (which isn't happening atm) about 2 inches to clear them. Thought about cutting the bracket but again, no clearance to do that either.

@TheTonywallace required a second person up top pulling while twisting as I pried with a short bar and pushe/twist with my free hand. 10/10 bad design. Lol. Those mounts aren't needed with that tight fitment so if you get aftermarkets that have the mount tab, cut them off.

Hey Splitt Mods! Thinking about doing my pipes for my f12. Are you running these with the CEL delete kit from ARM? Or are you using jb4 to avoid/delete the code at the time of filming/install ( I know you said you dont have a tune then). I already have a resonator delete, and Corsa mufflers.

Michael Watkins I ended up having to use a pry bar to push/bend the heat shield and also use it to push the heat shield on the left to give you enough space to get your socket in there, There might be alternatives but that’s what worked for me.

@@misteruniversal5264 Omg if words could come close to everything I'm having to do.... so turns out I have one of the cars that the arm downpipes won't slip into and I had already ceramic coated them and wrapped them in heat resistant wrap so now I'm having to modify my exhaust to fit the downpipes! Got the whole exhaust down and tomorrow I'll cut it and expand the ends to slip over, I did get my cats out and downpipes put in but I have so much more work ahead of me. I'm just hoping everything turns out as good or better than before!!! I also put arm charge pipes as well, we gonna see Soon enough. My neighbors think I'm insane because they see me hacking my 550ix up but little do they know, I'm far from crazy 😂😉

Strange, it sounds like the air tubes that attach near the tailpipes are not connected. These could have been severed during installation. If so, it a super easy fix.
