Downpipes and charge pipes should come before a tune in an ideal world. While catless downpipes deliver maximum power and the fastest imaginable turbo spool, you can make 650+ at the crank with an N63TU variant with high-flow cats. Your advice on that front was spot on and for the right reasons. Nice video!
I have a 2016 750i xdrive. My current mods are catless downpipes, 3” straight pipe, Dinan ignition coils, ARM front facing CAI and charge pipes. I currently have a BM3 93 stage 2 tune. It’s definitely fast for a massive land yacht. The biggest issue with this platform is finding parts for it. For example the ONLY swappable intercoolers costs 3k. There are other options out there but it’s definitely a premium in terms of cost.
i was thinking of doing this with my 2015 750li but that car is built to be quiet I would hate to change that with a catlkess down pipe. Is there any quieter but freer flowing options?
C - High flow catted will be a little quieter. But honestly a downpipe doesn't really make it a lot louder. Now if you're adding a full exhaust, that's where a lot of the sound comes from.
JB4 handles first gen bootmod for the other gen’s I have intercoolers turbos Catless full exhaust with coils plugs oil cooler valve with 180 degree stat with 1.4 bar cap what a monster plus front facing intake with charge pipes liquid Molly for trans oil and dif.
Simple and excellent explanation, Great job man i have 2020 M850i Coupe, And I look forward to Tuning it with +700-800whp, i know that's will be hard asf, but i hope i can do it And I have another question, what do you think about best intake for N63? , in terms of sound and flow

I want to do the tune and mods but I’m worried about the smell people have been reporting after doing stage 1 or stage 2 tune. Also with the n63 they are known to have oil consumption issues, Im afraid this tune and mods will damage my engine. Please let me know your honest opinion.
I'm not sure I'm aware of any reputable ones. Good catalytic converters are very expensive since they use rare earth metals so they're ridiculously more expensive than catless options.
Yes! That would be great to see and also how they compare to their I6 engines such as S58 in reliability in high power ranges . Really appreciate the videos as always 🙏🏽
I think you might be confusing E85 with 85 octane. E85 is 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline. Ethanol has an octane rating of 100+, burns much cooler than gasoline, and has a lower stoichiometric ratio. That means E85 is incredibly knock resistant and allows you to safely advance ignition timing and run higher boost. Depending on the mods and setup, full E85 can show power gains of 50-100+whp on the N63 (with the appropriate fueling mods for 100% E85). Looking at a small blend of E85 - like an E30 blend - you can still see power gains of 20+whp on the stock turbos without any fuel system upgrades.

A - That's typically what happens when a vehicle gets more expensive. But sounds like you've got a great build!

keep messaging companies requesting parts. I know I have been for my n63t3. Custom turbo manifold and larger charge coolers, and remote oil coolers.
Hi I go the same model. What would it take and how much more o less.. What did you use.?
Great vid, though once you mentioned bootmod3 you should also note that it does not support the "original" N63

Does that mean it's compatible with the n63tu? I have the 2017 650i xdrive coupe (not gran coupe)

My favorite upgrades on my 550ix besides downpipes, turbos, meth, ACL rod bearings, custom exhaust and custom tune are the S63 exhaust manifolds.

N63M30 in the Alpina was not included in initial specs. That makes 600-608 whp from Alpina.

any certain brands to buy from when it comes to downpipes with high flow cats? ive got a 2016 550i m sport

G - Modding isn't for everyone. We mod all of our vehicles.
Any companies make a kit with all these mods in one package?
Jay - Not to our knowledge.
You can get the intake and downpipes together from ARM but that’s about it
Where do you get a high flow catted downpipe for under $1,000? I’m seeing more than double that for the cheapest one.

CTS turbo high flow cats they go for $800

xHP is always a great addition - certainly no harm and only benefit to adding it. Should help it hold up better too
650i N63TU ?
S - What about it?
Hello. Is there a way to tune or code out catless downpipes? I don't want to drive with a check engine light on.
S - There is a way to tune it out.
12B304 & 12B305 with Bootmod3. Very easy to do. I do this on mine. One is for the drivers side sensor the other is for the other side sensor.
would the e30 map help with the infamous n63 oil consumption issue(s)?
