Really appreciate your videos I have a 2017 550i GT which has the same engine, you have helped me find some useful and tasteful mods for my car. Probably going with the same catless downpipes as you although it will technically fail inspection in my state I guess if you find the right guy it will pass just fine.

First off...good content! Secondly...either the dyno operator setup the dyno wrong, its setup to take into account the drivetrain loss to the wheels or its setup to read excessively high. I've read all of the comments and agree that your numbers are super inflated if reflected in whp. Again... good content otherwise! 👌🏽
Great content but they Marist have set the dyno up incorrectly, possibly the wrong gear. There’s no way it’s pushing 490whp stock. F10 M5 stock is like 516whp.

Hi Splitmod, you have the factory 8hp70 transmission? I have a 550ix, with mannhart tune, downpipes , custom exhaust, alpina B5 transmission software. I’m going for a hybrid turbo upgrade, but I don’t think the factory zf 8hp70z transmission will hold it. Waiting for a reply ✌🏼

Tristan Smith I adjusted the duty cycle in the user settings. You need to be careful not to over boost when doing this. I’m now using map six with duty cycle set at 10 across the board. I’m using map 6 as an additive of 7.9lbs over ECU boost.

What’s top speed for a 2015 550i m sport? I was thinking like 150ish but mine tap out at like 130? I don’t know if it needs to be in some kind of mode or something
Ceotrix get a 340 instead. 550’s are cool but a lot of maintenance for a first car. You’ll be able to beat a stock 550 with a stock 340, and tuned you’ll still keep up.
Ceotrix if you can find a nice N55 535 or 335 it would be a good split. Wouldn’t be as quick but you’d be over 350whp with mods and a tune. Then you can afford to go bigger turbo and beat the 550 or 340 because of the price difference.
it does not show anywhere that the psi is at 24, and that doesnt matter a stage 3 tune on either a n63 or tu is at 20psi(he is on map 2 btw) and only makes around 530 to the wheel that is with down pipes. that extra 4 pounds wouldn't add over 100 horse power. its not accurate in the slightest.
Finally a channel for builds on the 550!!

You will get a CEL. I am running the JB4 which clears the codes on startup, so no CEL. A tune could do this as well.

I went to the dyno today with my 2011 550i. Stock was at 368whp 388 torque!
That sounds right, the N63 is about 50 less crank up.
Why dyno a stock car ?

The engine runs cooler with the engine cover on when the car is moving. Keep the engine cover on.

Pretty sure the rated 445hp is at the wheels. But I could be wrong.
What psi are you running? I got a custom tune but it’s only running 17.6psi. My 550 has downpipes and m5 Comp exhaust. Btw I do get bad exhaust smell

Non M sport is 130mph, M sport is about 153mph. I have a 2014 Msport and top out at 153mphish. My buddy has a non and is at 130mph
You ever figure it out? Try sport+ mode. I've heard m sports are supposed to do 155, but can't say I know for sure
