A top 5 Babymetal song for me! This is equal parts epic, majestic, and powerful! Incidentally, if I were to describe these ladies in three words I would use adorable, powerful, and inspiring! ❤
Great reaction! This song is great, and this very performance is epic! Positivity is their primary message, right. I´m a Metalhead, and I love this performance of the song very much. It´s not necessarily a Metal song, it is more of a Rock Opera, with very metal instrumentation. Nice combination tho 😉
You're correct. Most Babymetal songs have a positive message behind the lyrics. I think (This is just my personal opinion and I may be 100% wrong on this) the girls have some say in the meaning of the songs and I think they want to have a positive message associated with their music. I think that's part of why they are so passionate about what they do and why they put in all the work they do. We DO know the girls are VERY passionate about their fans. We also know they are very humble and king young ladies, but are still silly, goofy, and mischievous. They have good hearts and I think they use their music to spread their message.
Su wote the lyrics to 'Divine Attack' and Yui and Moa are credited for both lyrics and music for 'Song 4' (i'm still surprised about the music credit). Most song lyrics are written to fit their ethos, and Su can pass on a whole song if she doesnt like it.
This was the opening song at Clear Night in April 2023. I was there in the crowd for this performance and it was absolutely breathtaking. Metal Kingdom is one of my favourite Babymetal songs because Su-metal just gets to soar vocally. If there is an underlying thematic thread that runs through the majority of Babymetal's lyrics, it's resilience and optimism. Many of their songs are about remaining strong through hardship and enduring the hard times to reach a better tomorrow. It's a pretty different kind of message to a lot of metal, which can tend towards discussing negative emotions.

When they released the other one it became obvious. It was a Album of 4 years, but everyone would ask, how does Babymetal with their new member sound? And in the whole year 2023 they had to ensure that they were a new Babymetal. This stoppen in 2024, thy suddenly were the new Babymetal. More and more Songs showed signs of their third member. And now moreand morefans wait fortheir next Album with Momoko.
