It certainly is. And the DB11/12 is the second best looking modern car. Aston is killing it. Both cars look like masterpieces
The interior is from 2014
The car is absolutely gorgeous, but how on earth do you not have a front axle lift for a car of that expense that is so low and how do you not have Apple CarPlay. The interior also desperately needs modernization.
But on the outside I don’t think there’s anything more beautiful on the road. The depreciation on the car is gargantuan and you can pick up at 2019 was under 10,000 miles for about $200,000. If I ever got one, I would retrofit a front axle lift and Apple Car play for sure.

Aston Martin are one of my favorite high end automobiles, they knocked it out the park with this model. Absolutely superb.
The intro of this video was the best I've ever seen. The Doug skit was great. However, the b roll footage w/ the music was everything. As always, nice job w/ this review.

except you’ll never see a straight pipes cameo, those guys seem to think it is a competition. They are quite sore because throttle house is duo that is better in almost every way.

Honestly, I am absolutely thrilled that you guys drove this car and reviewed it! I am so happy! Ever since Aston Martin released the DBS, it has been on the Grand Tour, and I did not like that episode when the verdict said the car was not good (in a way). But from the bottom of my heart, this car is absolutely special! Very few cars can do what it does! It is like falling in love with driving and cars all over again! It brings the romance into driving! The drama, the romance and the elegance, and like you guys said, the 'cool'! It is absolutely stunning! And what a design!

Thought something similar, the Doug skit at the beginning was genuinely funny and the production value of the scenes emulating Bond's tour in it was stunning.

Doug was the first car RUclipsr I watched, vids are just detailed enough and delivered in layman’s term without much pomp and ceremony. Only thing missing imo is a track lap or 2. OG Doug is a true don in the game
IMO Doug was a great writer and a really funny guy but that was a long time ago, mostly before he started with his whole YT channel _quirks and features_ schtick...he's been boring and repetitive for years, snooze.

@@Doofunator Top Gear fell into too much formulaic use of the "tobacco smoke" filter and smoke pots, which can add a romanticized effect if used sparingly. They didn't.

The commentary was fantastic, the honesty and relatability. I've eyed an Aston for at least a decade, it took that long for it to become possible and I truly appreciate and needed this video. Since I am admittedly the world's worst rear-wheel drive pilot I'm going to have to stick to BMW M Cars with AWD :( I'd be the only person to walk and go, "Can you knock off about 200 HP..."
This is one the examples where even if the car in question doesn’t totally work, the videography and production of this channel NEVER disappoints. As always, keep up the great work you guys! Big fan from top to bottom.

I agree that missing Apple CarPlay is a bummer, but I had my dealer upgrade my 2020 DB11 AMR with CarPlay and it's great! The upgrade is seamless and looks and feels factory installed.

Excellent to see Doug's cameo! I enjoy the way these creators support one another, very much. And for me, the aesthetics of the Aston Martins in general are MUCH handsomer than the competitors, it has a more impressive, masculine presence than any other truly direct competitor.

Nice catch but also goes to prove their point on the review of the Astons presence.
The McLaren driving by just was overlooked by most as it passed the Aston.
They always command a presence at shows and as awesome as a McLaren is almost, they all start to feel like a "common" car in the higher end car world.
They are my favorite though...

To me the DBS Superleggera is a modern icon, mostly because it serves as the rival to the 812 Superfast. Both are cars that do not fit into our current world, with their beautiful lines and their loud V12s. Yet they exist and stand proud as the epitome of a long forgotten breed of car, the luxury grand tourer. A kind of car that had it's glory days well in the past. However together with the Bentley Continental GT they show us how truly magical a GT can be, even today.
It's slightly weird though that th British one is the Superleggera and Italian on the Superfast.
Damn it looks massive from the first shots. And as always - superb cinematography of this beautiful machinery.

This is too funny! I just recently watched Doug 'Da Man' Demuro's review of the Lotus Emira and opined that his assessment of the gear box was a tad different that what Thomas had stated. Love them all and the collaboration that these car reviewers do is just awesome!!

You guys have the top 10% production quality of all car youtube channels I watch. kudos gents!
Twill carbon fibre is still a type of woven carbon fibre. Normal carbon fibre is in a checker board pattern - under, over , under, over like a wicker basket. The twill weave skips every second square so it looks more like lots of little rectangles offset by half kinda like a brick wall (without the grout), rather than lots of little squares, twill quite often being the preferred visual appearance of the woven carbon fibres.
The way you guys showcase vehicles make them seem even more spectacular and beautiful than they nalready are. Great work gents.
