      @@antonroux6737 It depends on what you prefer. It handles well, corners very nicely but if you like to feel and hear the road, forget it. The 2020 Legacy is a luxury sedan at a mid-range price. I'd still take it over anything else in the class. I don't really have any complaints. I like the big infotainment screen but when the sun shines on it you cant see anything.

      It's not often that the sun comes in at the right angle to obscure the screen, so that's not a big deal. It has all the safety tech you get these days, and it's a good thing, I'm an old guy and I need all the help I can get. The warnings that something is behind you when backing up is great, the blind spot monitoring is great, the forward and reverse emergency braking has already saved me a few times from bumping into stuff. Like everyone else I hate having to turn off Auto-Start-Stop all the time, but that's with every car these days.

  • @pmo5821

    Torque split numbers are misleading - if the car’s on flat ground and the center coupling is closed then the torque split is just the weight distribution of the car. If the front is on ice and the rear on dry pavement then it’s basically 0/100 f/r.
    It’s more meaningful to ask whether that center coupling can stay locked in 1st gear at max engine torque, traction allowing - and how aggressively traction control engages that center coupling. If the center coupling can fully lock in 1st gear then you can have 100/0 or 0/100 f/r torque split depending on the traction situation.

    Thank you, just picking this up now. At 7:01 you say much more horsepower for the turbo engine if you use premium fuel. I can’t find any reference to this in the Subaru literature (unlike Mazda who are quite specific). Could you provide some numbers please?

    It's hard to imagine the new H4 turbo improving on the 3.6R 6 engine. The H6 is practically vibration free and easily reaches it's governor limit of 135 mph. I'm completely satisfied with my 2017.

    • @CarQuestion

    • @gpalmerify
      @gpalmerify 5 лет назад

      @@CarQuestion Going to a lighter, cheaper to build turbo h4 that has the potential to be more efficient makes complete sense. I respectfully disagree with the h4 being vibrationless. It has less vibration than v or inline engines (sans a counter rotating shaft, that is) the physics of the boxer six lessens vibration past the h4 on the crankshaft. If the new Legacy is governed like the 3.6R, I'll predict 135 mph as the top speed lol. We'll have to wait and see how long it takes to get there. I'm sure anyone who drives the new Legacy will be impressed, especially with the eyesight system and the wonderful comfort level. Thanks for the video.
