Yeah, but just because it's more shocking doesn't make it more better. Beside, why didn't Homelander in the comic just see through Black Noir's mask at anytime to see whatever he looks like? Could have saved his ass if he did
@joeda900 as far as your first paragraph. It was more shocking because BN was just lurking and doing crazy ish like r@ping hughie with his thumb during HEROGASM. Also the pics they were showing of Homelander eating a baby was actually BN dressing up as HL. As far as your second paragraph true HL could've seen through BN'S outfit but I took it as one of two things ...1. HL didn't care to know hence the shock when they were at the white house when he revealed himself.. or 2. Black Noir's outfit could've been made to not be seen through by Vought since HL probably would've gotten curious.
@@CapoWhoLaughs Nah, I truly believe Homelander would be curious to see what Black Noir looked like and if it was made in a material, he couldn't see through, he would have gotten quite suspicious. @joeda900 as far as the last paragraph. I didn't really see the signs (at least at first glance) BN was always awkward as hell . For paragraph 1 and 2 .. sure he would've been suspicious but I think all vought had to do was feed some secretive bullshit to him and he may (or may not) roll with it.

When I first saw these scenes, I just assumed Edgar had a hand in it since black noir disobeyed. I'm surprised he was actually being genuine. He gave him a piece of advice that he'll lose support due to racists but he was still going to allow him to do it.
In the comic series, Noir is revealed to be a clone of Homelander, created to replace him if he ever went rogue. Driven insane by a lack of purpose, Noir resolved to frame Homelander for various atrocities as part of a plan to gradually drive him insane and replace him.
Everyone thought that Black Noir was Edgar’s son, because he seems to be loyal to him. However looking at them in this scene, and how close they look in age, they could be brothers.
Soldier Boy broke the mess out of Noir. Gave him brain damage, burned half of his face, fried his vocal chords, and made him blind in 1 eye. Noir has healing but couldn't heal from any of that. Damn

I think they are still going to do it if anything this proves that this is not the same black noir or at least our current isnt the original hence the peanut allergy and edgars eagerness to make him keep on the mask to keep the mystique around the persona of black noir being an entity above the suit because the best contingency plan for homelander is another homelander so
@@alfredmerton5365 I don’t know. Everyone thought that Black Noir was Edgar’s son, but looking at them together in this scene, they could be brothers.
@@sixksquad3488 Both the Black Noir in this flashback and the one in the present timeline have an allergy to treenuts, that’s how Maive incapacitated him in the Tower
Edit: he calls out Edgar for eating treenuts next to him because he’s allergic in the flashback
In the original comic, black noir was actually a clone of homelander! He also killed homelander but was brutally maimed in the process and Billy butcher finished him off with a crowbar through the top of his head.
Only a matter of time before I see the 1000th “But Black Noir is actually the clone of Homelander”
Ik, people need to understand the fact that this show isn’t going down the same route as the comics (thank god)
Who knows, maybe now that Black Noir is dead, there might be some crazy way that’s he’s coming back. Like they can somehow bring him back to life but maybe in not the way that’s expected. Maybe he will be something like a clone of Homelander.
@@unclehaver7006 it wouldn't be on TV if they did😂
The comics failed for a reason, they’re not great comics, the tv show is relevant, modern and people can put themselves in every characters shoes, relatability is the key for a good show imo
@kilgor5793too bad its still off the backs of others.
Black Noir is actually a clone of Homelander in the comics. He does a lot of the terrible things Homelander is accused of, including what happened to Billy's wife.
Yeah but this isn’t the comics, Homelander did do what he did to Butcher's wife.
Especially after watching the chuck e cheese esqe characters explain how he came to be. Adds an extra layer to this scene when you think about it again
Wish he wasn’t disfigured…but damn the scene worked if anything
Yep yep, nasty looking
Wut if he has homelander powers?
So is he blind in his left eye
@@LegionTheWorldKiller I was thinking the same thing 🤔
@@LegionTheWorldKiller hasn’t really been shown. There’s hoping maybe Homelander is allergic to something

Wow. Yes. Make it happen Hollywood!
Speaking as a resident of Minneapolis, can confirm.
I think Black Noir could be Stan’s Brother.
Wouldn’t he acknowledge him as his brother tho?
Just because there black doesn't make them relates

It’s not because of that it’s because Black Noir works directly for Stan and look how closely they talk to each other
He could be and thats why hes basically Stans puppet.
At first I was thinking Stan could be Noir's father, but after this I think they're brothers, or have a close bond if they just casually chatting.
This hits so different after ep 7
At first when I saw this I thought he got caught in a explosion but after watching ep7 that is not the case
A tad upsetting in the newest episode to see how noir got so disfigured.
I feel so bad for him he just wanted to matter for who he was but one incident later and he is forced to change who he is forever.
Episode 7 really shedded some light on this scene and crimson's fake crying
God damn, he might be the saddest character in the show. Poor Noir. I hope he finds peace.
After fucking murdering SB
I’m sure soldier boy is gonna tear him apart. But I hope he has the courage to fight him and go out as a badass.

He gonna be the successor of Gustavo Fring

Knowing the s3ep7 context this scene is CRAZY
It changes everything
Holy shit the actor for young stan is great
He acts exactly like giancarlo
The saddest thing about payback is that gunpowder and swatto died for no reason.
This scene left this weird uncomfortable feeling I’ve never felt before in my chest
The fact that Soldier Boy did this to Noir is all the more reason to not get on his bad side.
Why did soldier boy do this? I forgot
@@neverbeganformeblack noir and payback jumped soldier boy because they were fed up of soldier boy abusing and slapping them around basically mirroring what homelander does to the seven members on a daily basis
The show did a good job of portraying that acts of greed, domination, betrayal & crippling someone for life are not restricted to skin color.
The true monster here is man's lust for power.
yep, its almost as if Humanity is one in the same but get convoluted by oppositions or whatever...
It’s crazy how homelander humiliated him letting him know all along he seen his face
I think noir knows that Homelander has xray vision
If you read the comic, youd be understandably disappointed. The twist of BN's identity is waaaay more shocking than the show
Yeah, but just because it's more shocking doesn't make it more better.
Hell, I believe them changing Black Noir's origin was on purpose because they will know people would ask "Why didn't Homelander try using his X-ray vision to look at the mask"
Also there was easily parts where it's easy to tell Black Noir was never Homelander's clone way back in season 1
@@CapoWhoLaughs You seen Homelander? The moment they started telling him lies or stuff like "Don't worry, that ain't nun" he would be even more inclined at knowing what is under BN's mask
The moment he sent Edgar to jail and took over Vought, you bet your ass one of his first move is knowing what lies underneath BN

What was the story in the comics?
@@roachdoggjr419
In the comics black noir is the clone of homelander but people hated that twist so they decided not to do it
@@ceoofdinosaurs4276 yeah tbh that's not great
@@roachdoggjr419 black noir in the comics in a clone of homelander that was meant to be an insurance policy if homelander ever lost it. ironically noir loses it first and gaslights homelander by doing messed up stuff and making homelander think he did it in a state of psychosis which leads to homelander actually doing messed up stuff.
"So, that was a fucking lie"
When I first saw these scenes, I just assumed Edgar had a hand in it since black noir disobeyed. I'm surprised he was actually being genuine. He gave him a piece of advice that he'll lose support due to racists but he was still going to allow him to do it.
I didn't do anything to Gunpowder
We'd never doubt you, you're the same guy who taught us that drugs are for losers-

In the comic series, Noir is revealed to be a clone of Homelander, created to replace him if he ever went rogue. Driven insane by a lack of purpose, Noir resolved to frame Homelander for various atrocities as part of a plan to gradually drive him insane and replace him.
I honestly prefer the comic ending as opposed to this one. This black noir just doesn’t cut it. The clone was a good surprise compared to this.
Yeah I really hate that comic version compared to this one

Its a really lame joke.
It's crazy to me how people are so accepting of a badass Soldier Boy yet are confused or angry that Black Noir isn't a clone.
Y'all adaptations are never a 1 to 1 copy. And quite frankly, someone turns out to be someone else's evil (eviler?) clone is such a shitty TV twist that it was mostly relegated to soap operas and novelas. The few times we have seen it on TV in recent times it's still been shit such as the flash (S3), Lucifer (S5),
Right? They're crying like "I can't belive they aren't following the comics". Which they obviously haven't read the full comics because it's clear that the show delivers way better in every department than the comic ever did

Black Noir here is childish, I didn’t like it at first, but again this is when he was younger and a lot less experienced.
