This is a masterclass in drum writing. The complexity of what II put together here cannot be overstated. He’s busy as hell in this song, but nowhere near overplaying. It’s as rock-solid and technical a piece as you’ll find.
II is low-key out of his mind. Nobody can fuck with II.
Absolutely agree. Another good example is one of my personal favorites, "High Water". II is plastering a generally rather gentle song with insane drum patterns, and it shouldn't work, but it does, brilliantly. Guy's a goddamn genius.

As a drummer, my idol will forever be Neil Peart of Rush (RIP), but I swear Vessel II is the BEST musical drummer in the world. If drumming has a flavor, it would be called Vessel II
All are good, but telemores is one of the most complex drum parts I have ever heard from them. II is on another level.

Just a little note for you, the members of the band are all called Vessel. The lead singer and main writer is Vessel i. The drummer is known as Vessel ii. Indeed they are both massive talents. (You should check out some of Vessel ii's "offerings", which feature his drum play throughs of some select songs. Mind blowing)

I had the pleasure of seeing them live at Louder that life. Didn't know much about them 2 weeks prior to to going and starting listening to get prepared for the show. And boy, am I glad I was able to see them. Been completely enamored ever since, and like you, I think it's amazing driving music

If it makes you feel better, the video for this song isn't actually for this song, so missing the video isn't a terrible thing because the video was originally filmed for and in conjunction with the song "Nazareth." If you dub the Nazareth audio over this video, you'll see that it actually makes a ton more sense.
You should check out some of II drum solos he has on RUclips...absolutely one of the best drummers out there..had the pleasure of seeing the Dallas show and seeing his extended solo during the summoning was life changing..they are one of the best live bands I've ever seen
Great video you guys :) very catchy song. The drummer is so on point filling in all the spaces to enhance the energy of the music. Probably the biggest thing with this band is how full the sound is, all the layers, the harmonies, the melodies, the bass tone and notes. Sleep Token is just the truth

Hes pretty good, no doubt. There's still a yt video up with a montage of him playing, offering one on one drum tuition. I wonder if the email address is still active? Best guess, would be 'not'. Especially considerjng the success the band has had this year and 'ii' being referenced as songwriter after 'V'. - (I'm being respectful of their anonymity).
