- The Melts and Cheesy Tots are back at Burger King! Today Neighbor Dan and I are trying the New Shroom n' Swiss Melt.
The Shroom n’ Swiss Melt has two Whopper Jr. patties, layered with two slices of melty Swiss cheese, sautéed mushrooms, and Royal Sauce all sandwiched between two toasted bread rounds.

Scooby Doo Ice Cream. It was a peanut butter style ice cream with little bone-shaped pieces. I have to say I will still eat that particular ice cream if it should materialize again in the ice cream isle.

The burger looks so delicious. I love Burger King. So funny you mention Hamburger Helper…. I’ve been sick with bronchitis really bad and this past week I haven’t felt like cooking so my husband was helping out. He fixed hamburger helper and it was so good. Haven’t had it in forever but it was perfect. I love fried bologna too. I actually had that a couple weeks ago and made a chaffle for the bun. It was so good. I love a fried bologna sandwich!! I liked Vienna sausages as a kid but I don’t think I could eat them now if my life depended on it. Loved the video!!

I love BK but I prefer Whoppers over the melts. I grew up eating fried bologna sandwiches and I still like them occasionally. Also grew up eating pinto beans, fried potatoes and cornbread. Still like that too. Lol 🤷🏻♀️💖

I wish it was standard-sized like a Sourdough Jack instead of the Jr. Whopper-sized patties. Canned mushrooms are precooked. The melt costs $6.99 here in the SF Bay Area.
Nice review. A mushroom/swiss burger was at 1 time my favorite kind of burger. That was when we had Hardees around here. There are still a couple left but they have gotten way out of line with pricing. Not just in the last few years of the recent inflationary period. But 10 years ago I got burger meal and it was over $10.00 with a $1.00 coupon. Zero interest in trying them again. I tried a Mushroom/Swiss Melt at Culvers a few years ago and it did not sit well with me. Hope you have a good Holiday Season.
10 years ago it was over $10!! That’s crazy! I’m not sure how Hardee’s is still in business. They only seem busy during breakfast hours. Hope you have had a wonderful holiday season!
I love fried bologna sandwiches too, but I put Worcestershire sauce on mine. SOOOOO good. Going to have to make one today. I do still love braunschweiger sandwiches (the Aldi braunschweiger is the best) but I guess that is not really a kid food.
When I was growing up, KFC original recipe was the chicken I ate as a kid, but I was very embarrassed to admit it.

Trashy gourmet Dan has very eclectic taste. He doesn't think the fast food shroom burger is up to par but his guilty pleasure is vienna sausages 😝😝🤣🤣. Cathy I like hamburger helper too. I don't feel guilty about liking it.

Not having tried this version and being biased from enjoying Culver's Mushroom/Swiss Burger, BK would have to go a long way to surpass Culver's. As I commented in the review by The Endorsement, it appears that BK does not know how to properly toast Sourdough slices. I suggested BK take lessons from Jack-In-The-Box.

My favorite Bologna when I was a kid was Holly Bologna but unfortunately I think they changed their recipe and it's not as good as it use to be and I can't buy it here in Oklahoma only place I have found it is in Arkansas

No canned mushrooms?! They are brined kind of I think , but they are good in cream sauces. Swiss melts were JnB I thought. I'd eat this burger often. $3.99 sounds like a correct price for jr. patties. $5.59 is just rude. Lol

Embarrassed that to this day I enjoy a warm egg salad sandwich on white bread. For the side is plain Lay's chips with large curd cottage cheese. Eat them like chips and salsa

Hi Cathy. I am a burger king aficionado. I ordered this melt with a small fry. $9.70
I didn't know it was 2 Jr whopper burgers. The bun is the only thing different. The next day I ordered a double cheeseburger and fries. $6.70
So for $3 more you get mushroom and Swiss instead of American cheese. Its the same burger as the double cheeseburger which mind you use to be $1 not long ago.
The strangest thing was the employee asked me if I wanted the change from my $10 bill.
And wtf is "royal sauce"
Overall that burger and smallest fry for $10 is NOT worth it. Just get the double cheeseburger 💙

Not a melt, but Runza has the best mushroom and swiss burger in the fast food arena. Culvers' is a close second.

Actually sounds good but as with all fast food lately, overpriced. We had to eat Vienna sausages, hamburger helper and fried baloney sandwiches when I was growing up; I'll never touch them again. I do kinda like Kraft Mac and cheese though

Mushrooms are great ONLY if they are stuffed with cheese, breaded, deep fried, AND heavily doused in ranch dressing..... but on a burger.... YUK.....

burger king disappoints again. wonder why one of these places cant do a chop bbq sandwich? i saw a guy open a small quicky mart and to get buisness he had a sign up that said 99 cent bbq sandwiches and people would come in and buy 2 or more plus chips and sodas.

I tried this the other day, and I did not love it. I miss the jalapeño melts that they had. This one was just bland. Absolutely no flavor.
