@@viandant5 aa ok my bad I wasn't clear. I thought duplex laser printers should have two heating rollers (for both sides of paper ) so they need a special fuser unit . But now if I understand correctly duplex printers they just flip the paper in the duplex unit and print from the other side again .
can you tell me why my prints have a wrinkle(s) on duplex printing on my brother printer HL-5100DN. I havent cleaned it yet. i looked at the rollers nothing looks damaged. Would the red fuser roller be the issue if its a little dirty?
@@viandant5 I had a problem with a brother DCP-8810, with about 90.000 prints. It produced long shadows, but the toner was burned stable on the paper. I have used a clear silicone grease made for cars, as exchange which should work from -30 to + 200°C. as result now the toner will not fixed correctly. But if i change the paper setting to "labels", it works, and i get a clear print without shadows, and the toner holds stable on the paper. so it looks like the fuser gets not hot enough now, with the new grease. always printing with the media setting "labels" is unfortunately no solution, because i also have to really print labels, which needs more heat again ... So may be, the grease have also the sense to transport the heat better!?

i have an issues with my HP color laserjet 2250L, the is always a blank spot on print outs with solidt background. when i removed the catridge, i found a black ink on the white roller, what can i use to clean this?
i have used isopropyl alcohol to clean it thoroughy.. after my first print that came out well... subsequent print had a 1inch toner burn on the paper from top to bottom of paper.. and this renders the document bad. am afraid to clean again so that it doesnt affect the whole roller... or any video on how to clean all the rollers of the printinig machines including blades and all...?
The alcohol is ok, I've used it on tens of units but you have to wait until it's dry. If you are not familiar with this type of operation I suggest you to give the unit to some repair center. may be the waste toner hopper is full
probably the fuser unit is worn or defective. there are not tricks, Check if there are piece of paper or other foreign objects in the paper path, if not I think you have to change fusers
TO remove the fuser unit you have to remove the screws of the side panels of the printer, remove the side panels, detach the connectors of the fuser unit and remove the fuser unit. It's not easy if you have never done it
without checking the printer it's difficult to say. It could be toner too old or damp, defective drum unit, defective fuser unit, dirty transfer roller, full waste toner box...
Upgrade the printer driver to the latest version. Check the fuser motor, Check the wire, if it's properly connected or is faulty. Replace the fuser unit
look if the printer has proper ventilation. Make sure no books, folders, are leaning against the machine and not blocking the vents on the side of the machine. place the printer in a cooler ambient

May be I don't understand very well. There is only a fuser unit in the printer. there is no fuser unit in the duplex unit

@@luxbox May be the silicone doesn't ermit the correct transfer of the heat to the sleeve surface. Silicone is a sealant

@@luxbox Do not let the heater without grease. It could damage the fuser unit. Next time it's better to leave the old grease

try to remove the fuser and rotate the gears by hand. Check if the thermistor is dirty

TO remove the fuser unit you have to remove the screws of the side panels of the printer, remove the side panels, detach the connectors of the fuser unit and remove the fuser unit. It's not easy if you have never done it
