Thank you, I just cleaned our company's printer and it works perfectly! Your video saved us! (Considering that my boss planned to get a new printer because there was a sticky substance on the drums...)
This made a huge difference for my HP4L with a new unopened (but very old) cartridge that was streaking!
HP 4L, I remember it. very old printer
Electrical contact circuit cleaner spray contains isopropyl alcohol . It also evaporates very quickly and you can get it from most Car Spares Stores Shop's. Just a thought if you can't easily buy the bottle version
probably it contais addittives. however better to spray it not directly on the drum
Thanks! Short & cripsy clear to understand
Clear and helpful video. Thank you.
worked perfect, i had a piece of a label stuck on the drum.
That was amazing thank you
THANK YOU, you helped a lot!!!
Worked perfectly! Thank you!
Very helpful. Thank you so much.
Thanks
I don't have any toner at hand so is it quite safe to skip the last step to apply toner to the drum or is there an alternative step?
yes it's not a problem if the drum is turning normally
thank you for the video........I have recently moved to a new place, my old xerox laser jet starts printing dark shadow on both edges of the paper. Will this solve the problem?
I don't know the modeò of your printer but I think you can try
your videos are so good and informative
Perfect Bro
Great! It worked.
Very useful and practical video. Had a question. If there are bands of color toner on the transfer belt, is it a drum problem or transfer belt issue? I cleaned the transfer belt, but when I I print again after cleaning the belt, it shows up again on the transfer belt and also on my print. Any suggestions?
I think it's a transfer belt problem. if the bands are vertical probably the wiper blade
Thank you so much@@viandant5 for your feedback. Appreciated that. Is the viper blade something that I could replace or just replace the transfer belt? It is a OKI 920 wt printer.
@@georgezachariah8332 Yes it could be replaced but I think it's difficult to find. May be on alibaba. However without checking the printer I can't be sure
Thank you. You do some great and valuable service to us by sharing your knowledge @@viandant5 . God bless you
Hello- I replaced the transfer belt and I am still getting the bands of color toner on the transfer belt. Can you think of anything or have any further suggestion? @@viandant5
Hi I'm trying to resuscitate a Samsung CLP356W printer after few years of no use. Cleaning the drum as per your instructions works ok initially but rotating the drum it gets very dirty again (toner powder not grease or else) and it keeps like that even rotating several times. Is it normal or should I assume the drum unit is too dirty inside and needs to be replaced? Thank you for help.
MAy be the wiper blade is too old, or the toner cartridges are defective or low of toner
@@viandant5 thank you for your prompt answer
Hi , I need to help
I have been do every think you say it in the video then when i turn the printer on there is message say "Install the Imaging unit" and i have tay every and still like that , please answer me

Sir in my printer hp1015 the new cartridge Q2612A gets jammed stopping the printer what can be the reason???? Please reply.
Are you sure the drum is turning freely and the cartridge is correctly installed?
Help! I clean the drum but now I can't put back the "toner cartridge lock release lever" the box where the toner goes. Please help me out.
difficult to say without knowing which machine do you have, probably it's broken
I was reinserting it wrongly, my son helped me it's working perfectly. Thank you for getting back to me, I have a Sharp 237
My printer is printing magenta coloured lines all over the paper, i looked at to er cartiages and my magenta color drum is not clean like the rest, it has magenta color kines on top of it, so will cleaning that solve my problem? And also how do i take the magenta color toner drum out ?
I don't know which is your printer so it's difficulr to say. may be it is damaged.
@@viandant5 it's hp laser jet cp 2025, I opened the carriage box and it looks like the magenta powder is overflowing . Like there is magenta powder on the toner but other colored toner are totally clean.
So just curious, in my printer, when I remove one of the cartridges, it tells me I put in a used, or counterfeit cartridge, and doesn't know how many prints I have left in that cartridge. Is there a way to avoid that?
which printer and what do you want to avioid? the error message?
@@viandant5 an HP color laserjet printer m477. When I had removed one of the cartridges, when I was replacing some of them, I removed one that I wasn't replacing. When I put it back in, it gave me an error message stating it was either used or something and would no longer tell me how much ink it feels is in the printer. So I have no idea when it's going to run out. But before I removed it, it did tell me.
So I'm just wondering if there is a way to remove one of the cartridges, clean it, and then put it back in without it thinking I "bought a used cartridge" and no longer telling me how much "ink" is left.
@@FeCAzorius Is it a compatible cartridge? the HP firmware updates have the purpose to create problems to compatible cartridges. WHen you removed it, the printer detect it as a new compatible cartridge and send that error message
@@viandant5 Two things.
1. Are you saying it only provides that error if you pull an official cartridge and not on third party?
2. If I unplug my printer first, then pull out the cartridge, clean it, put it back in, will it still send that error message? On official and 3rd party ink?
@@FeCAzorius Hp make everything to create problems to compatible cartridges, especially when you update the firmware
can i clean the whole cartridge and refill with another color? would that work?
yes but it depends on which toner you use to refill the cartridge
How do i get toner to lubricate the drum after cleaning?
from the toner roller for example. you don't need too much toner
Your own voice is better 🙂
important information, thank you.
THANKS BRO!
Svp c'est quel produit vous utilisez
isopropyl alcohol
what happens if you touch the drum with your finger?
probably nothing but may be your fingers are dirty and you have to claen the drum with isopropyl alcohol
i have ricoh 2014ad printis coming light pls tell me the solution
mp2014? it could be the toner unit, a worn drum, difficult to say it exactly without checking the machine
Ti ringrazio in anticipo. Salvatore
How do I get that toner dust?
from the toner roller. very little is needed
Can I use nail remover?
no it will ruin the drum
Hello I have an hp colorlaserjet pro mgp m182n that uses hp 216a color toner cartridges . The problem I am facing is that whenever I replace drum of black cartridge , it's intensity of black in every print increases, slight outline of black comes around some words and whole page is kind of blackish. This happens with every new drum.
Can you kindly tell cause of this issue and how can that be solved?
In the control panel there are the settings
@@viandant5 can you tell why this problem occurs?
Also what do I have to do in control panel?
@@hathakker802 Set the brightness to low
@@viandant5 can please tell the cause/reason for this to happen? Is it a problem?
@@hathakker802 Every toner has its own settings, when new often prints darker
Can j use water instead
water will not clean the drum very well
Probably highest percentage concentration isopropyl is best eh? 99%
may be but 90% is enought
Didnt help 😢
It was dirty, but removing the powder didn't change anything, it still leaves long slightly noticeable marks all over the sheet...
The cleaning does not work if the drum is defective
Thank you
