For anybody who would like to know why "banana branches" -( for mzanzi or " equal length headers for the rest of the world ... ) makes so much power differance on an aspirated engine is (apart from better flow coz its bigger and less angle corners ) is thanks to something called "Scavenging". what that means is the gass going out of the branches into the actual exhaust actually creates a sort of vacuum at the point where theheaders all get together. This not only helps unburnt mix to be drawn out of the motor but its effect goes further than that ; as it leaves a negative pressure ( vacuum or suction for braakpan guys..) so the air is sucked into the cylinder by the scav effects and so therefore there is less resistance caused by the piston having to suck air through the intake. With "log type" manifolds where all the exhaust ports go into a big space and then down the exhaust , scavenging cant happen this way since the distance between each port and the actual exhaust are not equal. I hope i simplified it enough for everyone to understand since not everybody are mechanics and also not over simplified it to make me sound like an idiot lol...branches are probably the mod where you can score the most power in an n/a engine. Have fun.
I coat exhaust systems for a living with a ceramic based Paint called Cerakote. With Cerakote if you paint your header it traps hot EGTs in the ID of the exhaust. Hotter EGTs escape quicker and so what happens in there's a thing called Oxygen Scavenging which is to a day a pulling of air from the cylinders. Car runs optimal... I also coat pistons etc but a whole nother story. Got the same header by the way. Velocity 1.6 engine on Dicator in a Chico 1.3 with 13steelies. Little spook😂
Viper branch is extremely good and durable. Used it on both my 2L 8v long blocks. Jetta 1 was had fully forged block and all work was forged, high rev kitt the branch handled it well
I have Viper Branches on my BMW 325i E36 Rally car. It works super and price is right, makes alot of smooth Curve Kw NM 164kw 275mn Ported head M50b25 Pump fuel 95
Hey like your videos I have a VW mk1 I recently blown my head gasket..having a closer look my engine block cracked... what's the best engine swap u reccomend??
Really cool build amazing stuff Ive got an old citi golf with an AGG 2l 8v Its over heating idk if its because i have the old golf 1 radiator or what please help
@@songssss5082 if the fan didn't switch on under normal operating conditions...I'd suspect the fan switch. Perhaps try flushing your radiator and water pipes making sure there's a clear flow of water. Maybe there's something wrong with the water pump.....I wish I could help
Let’s hope Saldanha dates get confirmed soon.

Between Viper and Banana branches, which is better for standard MK1 1.4?
Are those stock seats? Or did you have them custom made? If so, where and how much did it cost
Great Golf 2.0l build💯.I would like to know who did the engineering work? Who would you recommend?
Thanks 🙌🏻 I had my head work done by Warren from BSE and bottom end done by Balance all

What's song name in the outro?
@@joe112ism thanks for watching till the end 🙌🏻 songs name is Socialite by Jontha Links
@@jamiepotgieter awe shot man, it's good content. I though everyone watches till the end
Did you spray your gearbox?
Did u use copper gasket sealer, seeing that its a metal gasket?, cause i see you just put the headgasket on without sealer
headgaskets dont like sealent due the immense pressure. If you do use it. Tiny bits on corners only
Where can I buy a viper branch for my mk1?
Hi how much is it?
@Jamie_potgieter what management will you be using ?
thats how the branches come they just use normal black paint they dont really bother with it
how much was it?
ART!!!!!
