    I can actually hear the F0 for the first time ever here, that scale length plus that large string gauge really makes the difference.

    • @GaryHiebner
      @GaryHiebner  2 года назад

      Yeah the distortion from the amp sims helps to add extra harmonics and bring out the overtones so you can hear that F.

    You are a mad man .170 is unreal!! It sounds fantastic though, your demo track was really tight 🤘

    • @GaryHiebner
      @GaryHiebner  2 года назад +1

      Thanks! Yeah am really enjoying this bass. And with the scale length and tension that 170 really doesn't feel that thick

      kaliam guitar strings do a 266 gauge string as their thickest

    Awesome mate! I can feel the stokedness! Total Dingwall slayer right there, if the price is right. Sounds great too, really like the tone in the mix, perfectly gnarly and blends in nicely with the guitars in the mids. Well done!

    Do you think you could demo it in a couple tunings like G, F#, and E? I'm just curious how the scale lengthwould respond to higher or lower tunings.

    • @GaryHiebner
      @GaryHiebner  2 года назад +2

      Yeah I might do that in future videos. I did try it in G Std and it worked really well.

    Most btbs are fitted for bartolinis but since this bass looks like it could fit some emgs or Seymour’s or whatever pickups that would fit in it, try those instead playing the stock pickups to give you some different sounds and as far as the pre amp I think a dark glass preamp would go well with this bass.

    • @GaryHiebner
      @GaryHiebner  2 года назад +1

      Yeah thats exactly what I'm thinking. Getting some Seymour Soapbars and a Dark Glass Preamp

    I am desperately trying to find someone to make me a 37” conversion neck for my Fender Jazz Bass, and I am having zero luck. Anyone have any suggestions?

    • @GaryHiebner
      @GaryHiebner  Год назад +1

      Best is to find a luthier near you so you can test the feel of the neck during the build process. Luckily my luthier was 30min away from me so I could go visit and see the build process. But guess that is not always possible.
