34 is a little short. 35 is better. You will have to go very 5lthick on the string gauges and then the next issue is getting the string ti intonate correctly. And then you will als0 need to file the nut for the thicker gauge. Not saying its impossible but be prepared for testing out a few gauges and doing some extra setup.

@@GaryHiebner The only reason is because the bass im buying is a b-stock dean bass that's missing the nut and a bridge saddle and screws, I plan on trying a .170 gauge strings for the Low F, hopefully that is thick enough

Since im gonna be using a brass nut that actually might be a problem, but harbor freight might have some files that i can use and steel wool to polish up the metal

You can try and see if it works. Maybe try a thicker guage then 170. Cos 170 works for F on a 37 inch.

Rather change the nut for a TUSQ nut. They are much easier to file down and work really well for srring stability.

I'm using Helix Native and then the Poly Capo module in there. It replicates how a Digitech Whammy works

@@GaryHiebner i have the dt whammy with the drop tune all in one. Do u know if the drop tune pedal by its self is the same as the right side of the pedal which is the pitch shifter up or down on the whammy dt?

Yes the Drop pedal is exactly the same as the right side of the Whammy DT pedal.

How you fibding the thickness of a 10 string neck? I would love to try one but still haven't gone qider then a 7 string. Haha

@@GaryHiebner gonna sound crazy but i even got my 10 strings neck widened because i wanted more room for thicker strings . A standard 10 width is not quite enough just takes getting used too

Makes sense for those thicker guages. What model you got? I've been looking at the Agile 10 string model.

@@GaryHiebner i took an ali express junk and turned it into something decent i think, the agile has a thinner neck than mine which i knew i would dislike but those are good guitars although i dont care for their pickups

What pickups are you using on that? Not many options that are that long.

Sorry I dont use Ableyon. Only Studuo One. But you just need to change the buffwr size lower to have less latency.

I'm not to sure. I think a guitar power amp uses a speciruc impedance input. So just check the impedance on your power amp and see if it is the samr as a guitar power amp. Don't mess around with the wrong impedance.

That's because you use the Trem bar. Its easier to have it facing the other way. You play the note and then hit the trem bar after it to give that vibrato effect to the note.

That is the one downside of Elastique Pitch 2, you can't record with Zero Latency. Hope this is possible in a future update.

Yeah have seen the Hooky bass and noticed the slightly wider str9ng spacing. Very interesting looking Bass VI.

In the end of the day whatever works and services the song. This is jist a suggestion for that distorred bass tone.

@GaryHiebner I get you bro, and you've crafted a nice tone. I've tried similar but personally feel that it muddies with other distorted tones. Especially at gig volume. Sounds lush for a solo though

I could but I used Studio One and its Sound Variations to switch articulations. So if I export out the MIDI it won't include the keyswitching. But will see if can make a plan.

If you can bypass the preamp stage on your combo amp and only use the power amp stage, then yes you can.

@@GaryHiebner yeah, I tried it on my own and it sounds super heavy when you split guitars in left and right. The problem with tunnings that go lower than A is notes become blurry. But if you have the second guitar tuned octave higher, it helps to make notes clearer. I'm surprised down-tunned metal bands don't use that trick.

I'm sorry you feel that way. But that is just not true. Tools like these have been around for years. And they are merely tools to assist composers and songwriters. Not too replace. There were virtual guitars and basses 20 years ago. So as you can see its not replacing anything. All the best :)
