- Welcome back. I am at Centennial Homes in Bismark, North Dakota, looking at the Durango. This home comes in at over 2300 sq ft and has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. 2 pantries and a full size master retreat. Oh ya you also have a family room. There is nothing that this home doesn't come with.

I completely agree regarding the ridiculous trend of using barn doors inside a new home. I grew up on one of the biggest midwest farms in our entire county, and can definitely remember that the interior of our home never contained anything close to resembling any part of a barn. We country folk have never understood why anyone (especially city slickers) spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on a stylish and elegant home, only to spoil that beauty with tacky "barn doors". It has never made any sense whatsoever, especially to those of us who have truly earned the right to incorporate the country lifestyle into our lives. It is no different than city guys who wear giant and ornate western belt buckles, cowboy boots and cowboy hats, yet they've never once shoveled or stepped in a steaming pile of hot cow pie. (By the way -- true cowboys refer to the fake gawdy super sized and bejeweled cowboy belt buckles as "tombstones". I'll leave it up to you to figure out what male body part has died that it allegedly represents.)
Thank goodness this trend is finally OVER! In the end, interior designers almost always recommend that homeowners choose timeless and traditional decorating designs, and advise their clients to steer clear of "trends". Trends are usually overly expensive, and then become even pricier when their time is over and everything "trendy" must be replaced. We country folk know that you will never, ever go wrong by using simple and traditional pieces, colors and textures to decorate a home.

That buffet area there next to the two pantries would make a great coffee bar! I'm really glad you mentioned that you could get a bathtub in the primary bathroom because that's a must have for me. You're right that place was super big and nice, great job! 👍
This is a lovely huge home. The Brown's and the dark wood is not my thing. I like light colours. I'd add a cornice or coving I think they make a big difference. And I wouldn't have carpet in the living room. One thing, both the living room and family room the most obvious place to put a TV is on a wall that is a walk through or squash the furniture to face the other wall. I'd like pocket doors or barn doors on the master bedroom closet and bathroom. I'd use the retreat as a hide from the kids or TV / dressing table to put makeup on and do hair etc. 5he shower looks awesome and I'd like a window of some sort in the bathrooms if possible. I love a patio door so nice to have a morning coffee with the warm sunshine coming in (if we ever get any in the UK this year). I know I sound negative about this one but it's just making it to my house (imaginary house 😅). Thanks Nate for showing us these homes and letting some of us dream 😀👍
I think we need to start a game where we guess which of the bathrooms Nate's going to say hello to Raiden in!! I thought it was in the first one where he would say hello, but I was wrong! 🤣
Would add a bench in the shower in the master and a tub . That's it . The house was great . Great Job

All of those beautiful dark wood paneled doors sold me. Another great home. Love the separation of the livingroom and kitchen with the bar and pantries. Really feels livable.
Beautiful house. I would have the master bedroom retreat set up as a bigger walk in closet. You can never have too much closet space 😊.
100% would eventually wall off the back family room and remodel that space as an apartment for my son... I'm always looking for ways to have generational living in these times.
This is a beautiful home! I wouldn't change anything, I absolutely loved it. If I had a big family, this would be the one. My 4 boys are out of the nest now 😢.

I really loved the layout of this beautiful hm. I would have loved to have seen a vegetable sink in the buffet area so it could be turned into a coffee bar. Otherwise I'd be traveling with water all day to fill my pot/Keurig. And a BIG thing for me is a garbage drawer on the opposite side of the dishwasher as thats where its used the most. Also big, heavy duty pot/pan drawers by the stove where they are needed. I also need a long drop in tub with jets for a family members back. If i could have all of that, I'd say "SOLD". Thank you Nate!❤

Incredible floor plan. The only thing I hate about mobile homes is when they put a 2” base board and crown on some. I saw a model that had beautiful 5” base and crown. It was beautiful, and looks more like a home. Thanks! Love it.

This is an absolutely beautiful home. Don't think I would change anything in it. Loved the colors, tile, flooring. Thought the tour was just fine, not rushed.

I loved the floor plan but I would need a soaking tub, fireplace and gas stove as well as NO carpet, definitely a bench in the master bathroom and another level of shelving in the master closet. I’m so thankful there weren’t any wire shelving anywhere 🤲🏼

Beautiful and roomy home! It would be perfect for a family. Double pantries in the kitchen are a plus. I love the bonus room off the master bedroom, it would be my office. The master bath isn't super big, but I love the setup. The linen closet is nice & deep. I wouldn't want the sink in the utility room right next to the door, but everything else is fine.
It's a well thought out home. I would upgrade to real showers, not plastic ones. And the showers need a sit.

Beautiful roomy home, lots of storage. Nice staging as windows weren't completely covered. Extra bath will make a huge difference for growing families, especially childrens teen years.
A growing family could use retreat area in mbr as a nursery, then later a retreat/quiet place to avoid sounds of teens music choices. (My 3 children had different music tastes. I was blessed to hear country, alternative?rock?, and classical simultaneously. I chose to allow them to express themselves.)
I like the kitchen has so many cabinets and the built in buffet.
I found this home a little pricey, but the bulk of my finances will be in acreage.

I love the kitchen cabinets and the living room but i would leave out the barn doors.
A forth bath would be great and a kinchenet with that bonus room off the master suite and a second smaller laundry room for the teens

Awesome Home Nate!! I would love to put this on a finished out basement and move the Family Room downstairs., And make the utility room larger , and Dinning area. It's nice to see the houses Dressed out/ Staged , to get an idea of room size and is just more aesthetically pleasing. I do really like this !! Thank you for sharing it.
Master shower needs a bench and a place to put your soap and is the vents on the floor or ceiling

I would change 2 things...colors... don't like all that brown and put a spot for a small chest freezer...that could be done by takin out the sink and counter in the utility room. Of course no one likes the price...unless you can afford this home with no problems. Id have to win the lottery myself!!

Patio sliding doors belong in the den, not the dining room

This home is absolutely gorgeous. I would like to see a butlers pantry and then go straight through to a utility room, and no carpets. I'd like to see a ceiling fan in all bedrooms because mine is on even in the winter months because it helps move the air around. I would keep the counter area between the pantry looks great with the dining room table there. Thanks Nate, it was a great tour. And I believe you were referring to Chance when you mentioned "you know who would be jealous." That was too funny : ) Have a great evening!

Quite a number of these houses are base off from each other.
As mentioned most builders have their own take on very similar floor plans.

I am looking for a new camera, after a software update by Samsung it turned the wide angle lens to what it does now.
Great layout and size but the colours are awful! So dated and old fashioned. Why would any one want chocolate brown painted wood? Brighten it up with light airy colours and you may have a winner.
2 things I'd change. Make that. Living. Room. A dinning room. Keep the. Eat in kitchen. Get rid. Of. The island. Make. A. Snack. Bar.
