But maybe he was so damaged that he couldn’t move as fast as you saw him dragging his leg as he pursued them, but even in T2 the metal cyborgs in the beginning walked like robots and not like the humans they were designed to infiltrate. @@kbm-zw5jd The pump that's supposed to support the Terminator's legs and feet got blown off from the explosion, which is why it couldn't move very fast. The Terminator is also heavy because of it's big metal structure, which is why it struggles to keep up with it's victims. Even when the Terminators are at war and don't have tissue, they can still move like humans do.

I don't really count genisys apart of the canon timeline, I count Future war pre-kyle Reece before he seduced Sarah in the new timeline before T1; then T1, and then T2, and then the post poned of T3 and then the new timeline T Salvation which isn't future war but apocalypstic post future war industrial and then that's it. Genisys is a different timeline and so is dark fate. The canon timeline goes from pre T1- to salvation and if you count Future war from Terminator 2 ride as filler that's canon also. But genisys and dark fate definitely not. Why would they kill a young kid on camera? John I mean; evil demons in Hollywood. They worship the liar because of his lies. Great comment. Really puts into perspective the evolving future history.
Here is another thought that has been perplexing, to me at least, for more than 40 years. How does John come to be in the unaltered original timeline of history if Kyle has to be sent back in time in order for John to even exist?
      Any thoughts?
All I have been able to rationalize is that somehow Sarah meets Kyle after the war starts and have John. Then the alternate timeloop begins.

After terminator 2 they never got the horror aspect down. They tried to make terminator a action series. The action was only there to display a relentless pursuit thats it. 1 and 2 took time to establish charactors. Terminator 1 is only 1.5 hours long and told the story perfectly. Terminator 3 should have taking place is the future. Showing humanity losing being "on the brink". Terminator 4 should show the emergance of John Connor and the formation of the resistance. Terminator 5 should have shown how the war is won and ending with Reese being sent back making everything full circle.

I gotta say I love the terminator's eyes being that analog light bulbs, in opposite to the today's Sideshow life size T-800 collectibles, which have those sh..tty led-grid kind of eyes... Ofcourse the lifesize busts of Sideshow are amazing, love them, but not the eyes... I love the original analog red terror eyes :D They are so much more realistic and better represent the Terminator red display sight.

OK but there's seems to be a retcon issue here between this and the second movie: in thr end of the first, the police treat her as though she's innocent and someone was trying to kill her. Yet in the sequel, Sarah is institutionalized.

In the second one, John told the T-800 she tried to blow up cyberdyne before the events of T2 and got arrested for it. I’m guessing that’s why she got sent to the insane asylum because she probably went on a tirade about skynet and all that once she was arrested

John explains it in the second movie. After this one she gave birth to him and they moved around a lot, especially to Mexico, preparing him. She later got caught trying to destroy that factory and of course no one is going to believe a story about time traveling cyborgs from the future, so she was committed to an mental hospital instead of prison.
