You got the right idea... right technique. Go with a little smaller bait and make a a fluke instead of a paddle tail. Your catch will be less of a fluke ma boey.

dude, slaying them! caught my very first legal yesterday in at 23 inches! *just* qualifies as a toad..but not yet a 'big ol' toad' - that's for another day. p.s. that tuna is insane...
